That’s for posting this I was just debating between a 2L and the 3 and I think I will go with the 3. As a sailor and paddleboarder it does look very paddleboard like.

Your 'crew' is correct. You did capsize, you just didn't 'turtle' (mast under water )
Part of smallboat sailing and actually makes for a memorable outing!😊

Have you tried hiking out? How comfortable is the railing to sit on?

Yes, sitting on your butt on the rails with the cushions is quite comfortable and I could probably spend all day like that. Without the cushions, it is a little uncomfortable and I wouldn't do it for more than a few minutes. I haven't put my body all the way out with the rails under my knees because there hasn't been enough wind to justify that much ballasting.

Due to the mountains, lake sailing in the Upstate and Piedmont areas of NC and SC is hit and miss.
Lake Hartwell is good sailing when the wind is out of the S.W. while Jocassee is only good when a front is coming in from the N.W.
    Always check the forecast.
    Welcome to mountain lake sailing!👍

Currently sailing a Precision P15 and never sailed a dinghy with hiking bars.
    Is this your first sailboat?
