Tokata Iron Eyes is the exact opposite of a credible source on whether she was groomed or not given the grooming has been going on since she was 12. You completely ignored the two Hawaii assaults. And the kidnapping allegations are about a missing mother and her three kids that were last seen at Ezra's gun and drug filled farm.
Yeah, Im also already sold just based on the trailer alone. Love me some serious, grimmy characters. Not all, but one in a team is a good addition that changes dynamic and doesnt make the whole team dark in the end, just more interesting. Also love when tone of the movie is a bit more serious and stakes are visibly higher, even if world is not ending, just characters are in a lot more dangerous situations.
Why do Navarro and Rios have to keep bringing up the Ezra Miller drama? If they want to be taken seriously then they should boycott the movie, period. Yet, they are going to the early access.
This is basically Michael Keaton Batman 3 starring Supergirl and the Flash featuring Ben Batman and im sooo here for it!!! Keaton Batman looks so dope!! Loads of gliding, very Batman Animated Series and i love it!!!

The Story will focus on Barry, they only using Batman so much in the trailer as the marketing strategy especially with Michael Keaton, also to cover up ezra miller stuff by using batman, but if u see the Japanese Trailer it focus on the flash instead of Batman

Might be called Flash but we are all going to see Keaton as Batman. It can be very satisfying and not a mess. We know Affleck shows up in Aquaman 2 so will be it's own thing too? Elseworlds, Gunnverse see what happens. Just wants to enjoy.
I have a feeling that they have been quiet on the future of Ezra in the DCU to avoid those who would then say why bother to go see this movie. We will just have to wait and see and I will of course be there opening night.
I think Hector might be a little too worried about continuity right now. I totally understand his frustrations, but I think DC Films needs more time to answer the questions he wants answers to. I know there are other fans that want this movie to answer all the questions about DC’s future continuity, but I’m just looking for a fun theater experience at this point. I’m still kind of surprised that it’s getting released after the leadership changes, release date changes, creative shifts, and the Ezra problems. I’ll start worrying about continuity after James and Peter have worked a couple of years in their new roles and have given us more information about future projects.

Agreed. Also, making comparisons with the Jonathan Majors situation is unfair. The Flash had already finished principal filming when Ezra started with his troubles. Justice moves slowly, but make no mistake, he’s still in a world of trouble. It just seems like he’s getting all these chances, but he really isn’t. There’s not been any news of Ezra getting more jobs since his troubles started. It’s just taken forever for this movie to be completed so his name is always coming up. However, there are no jobs in the horizon for him. As for Majors, his star was on the rise being in franchises like Marvel films/shows, Creed, etc. He’d also been hired for multiple promotional things and upcoming productions. Basically, he’d been significantly more in demand than Ezra ever was and therefore had significantly more to loose as well. Forgot to add. I’m so hyped for this movie. I love Flash.
In my opinion Kara is the true last kryptonian. Yes you have Clark but he grew up on earth with a loving family. Kara was a teen when when she saw her planet destroyed and is the last of her race alive that actually grew up on krypton and has any real memories of it. All Clark has are holograms.

From a narrative standpoint, it's going into how a single decision changed EVERYTHING, so switching out Superman with Supergirl and Bringing back Michael Keaton make sense. That being said, Cavill got burned by not getting a proper sendoff.
Ezra had already filmed this before most the crazy stuff happened. There was that fan he had some weird confrontation with and he slammed her and choked her. WB should have fired him then, but I’m 100% positive he’s gone after this movie.

Nobody was really sure what the exact context was and no charges were ever filed against Ezra over it. It was generally just chalked up to him being really drunk and taking things too far(people even thought it might have been a joke at first). Honestly it wasn't until after all the other crazy stuff started happening that more people went back to that video and used it as clear evidence of his mental state. But at the time, it was controversial and raised some eyebrows, but ultimately not considered "that" big of a deal. Not enough to fire him at least. People make it sound like it was a clear cut situation, but it really wasn't when the video first came out from what I remember

You don't have to trust James Gunn's opinion, but I think that you can be pretty confident in a movie that Tom Cruise said "Is everything you want in a movie".
It's crazy how in JL, The Flash saves the world and now while the DC UNIVERSE is on the verge of being completely gone and it looks like this Flash movie could just save the DC UNIVERSE in real life.
The fact Zaslav didnt can this movie like he did Batgirl (which truly must've been a turd) makes me think he believes this is good enough that it will make huge box office opening weekend and enough to make a profit after its run that will help keep the studio out of the red for a while.
It's not that Miller gets a pass and not Majors. It was more timing. Miller got in trouble during post production of his big movie. Majors got in trouble before his next big project. One was more easy to cancel. Plus as far as I know, Miller hasn't had any other work of note after all his issues.

Actually Jonathan Majors was not immediately out and in fact he is still not out. Ezra has clearly been sidelined by DC Studios from what I have read and because Flash movie was so far filmed and had so many other actors involved including Micheal fricking Keaton (which i am so happy about) they decided to release it. Now if DC decides to keep Ezra and Marvel decides to keep Majors it will be bad

Miller was not dropped by their representation, and are being given the opportunity to go to rehab, and that shows how much these systems are willing to look the other way for successful white actors but maybe not for successful black actors.
Except in this movie it’s not like Avengers , Barry by saving his mom broke the timeline and by the time he’s probably back in his new present , it created super girl being locked away from the sun and Zod taking over . Hence Henry Cavill wouldn’t make sense because he created a new future and not necessarily going back in the past where Zod appears
As a Flash fan, it is weird to me that THIS is the first live-action Flash movie. But I am a huge fan of both "IT" movies, so I am going into this movie for the directors sake (& also Michael Keatons Batman as well)
All I can truly hope for, is this is the kicking off point for the same level of success as Marvel has been able to achieve. I so badly want a string of sick DC movies that make me feel like the MCU. If they truly pull off this reboot of this universe I am here for it and they can have all my money
I think the reason that WB is still pushing forward with this movie despite the things Ezra has gotten up to is because this is the last time were gonna see Ezra in the suit. They can write Ezra off after they make their money at the box office.
Looks great. One thing that is a bit funny to me though is how Batman is moving like he jumped right out BTAS now that he's in his 70's. In his 30's he was lumbering around barely holding his own against Joker goons. It's a lot like seeing Darth Vader in modern Star Wars content after seeing him slow and immobile in the original trilogy.
Evil Barry is gonna be Reverse Flash in disguise right? Would everyone shit themsleves if it was Grant Gustins version of Reverse Flash that showed up here and he came to save Ezra as well?
This movie really chaffs my ass because I don't want to support the literal psychopath that is Ezra Miller but this is also the best looking DC movie they have made and I am incredibly torn.
Agreed. I cant stand that Ezra used mental health to excuse gross behavior. It further demonizes/stigmatizes mental illness and those who have to contend with it everyday. Personally, I plan on skipping the theatrical release and watching it on HBO Max if the mood strikes.
I think the whole Zod thing is that it's an alternate universe where Zod turns up and Kal-El is not there to stop him, so what would happen. So, instead of Superman we get Supergirl instead, so that story will be different and not just a rehash of the Man of Steel story. So it wouldn't make sense to have Henry Cavill appear in this.
I think Ben Affleck is the best BRUCE WAYNE ever but Michael Keaton remains the best BATMAN ever. Keaton just looks perfect with that Batman suit with or without the cowl. Keaton still has the best Batman suit ever, best Batman logo ever, best Batman theme music ever, best Batmobile ever, and best Batwing ever. Tim Burton really nailed the aesthetics, atmosphere, and sound from his '89 & '92 Batman films. Ron Livingston from Swingers (1996) and Office Space (1999), and Maribel Verdu from Y Tu Mama Tambien (2001) with Diego Luna as a co-star have come a long way. Glad they're getting these opportunities as Barry's parents. I love Air which will probably remain my favorite film of 2023. Diehard MJ fan. Love this new trailer for the film. Plus the cast + supporting too. It is difficult to separate art, from the artist, when it comes to Ezra. Hopefully something is sorted out, and maybe even another character takes the mantle in the next film? I have to be honest, I really wish Grant Gustin took the film role instead. I know CoIE counts as a crossover. But jeez after this rollercoaster ride with Ezra, a better talent would have been preferred. 🤔Also tricky to work out, as the CW Flash did its own Flashpoint. Plus the numerous team ups. 🤞 Seeing Michael Keaton, and Ben Affleck return as Batman is awesome. Sasha Calle is a fantastic actress, I cannot wait to see her performance as Kara Hope. Which begs the question is the CW Flash cannon. As Ezra did show up in Crises on Infinite Earths for a small cameo. But I am with you, I preferred Gustin from the beginning. Ezra's actions are hard to look past.
I think it’s kinda unfair to put Ezra in the bucket of just throwing away. All he’s really done is steal alcohol and throw a chair at somebody. Long as he calms down and continues to get help then I don’t mind him being flash.
The thing with Jonathan Majors is that for now he doesn't have any projects literally on the corner (Loki S2 still has room to remove him or not) And Ezra Miller already had this filmed, so the studio (probably) is just waiting to say goodbye to him after The Flash movie makes the money that it needs to make.
When everything around Ezra Miller happend I didn't want to support the movie and I'm still struggling witht hiat thought. But those 2 Flash trailers are SO GOOD! I love cinema and movies but I choose which one I'll visit the cinema for and The Flash went from "I probably won't watch it" to a "Oh I'm going to see that in a cinema!" type of movie. Those trailers are so fun, I can't wait. However the whole Ezra Miller situation is still in the back of my head and I'm trying to figure out how to handle it, same for Jonathan Majors, who I LOOVE as an actor. I'm very interested in the decisions DC and Marvel will make in those cases.

Ideally this movie is supposed to be a sequel for the flash, not the first standalone movie. Perhaps the mistake about Ezra Miller is not that he's the flash but he was cast in another demanding franchise, who knows. What IF the ending of this movie is similar to the 2001 planet of the apes?? What IF Barry manages to fix everything and goes back to "his time, his present" but it doesn't? Instead, he comes back to an alternate present realising that everything's changed so he ends up in an alternate REALITY where that reality is some sort of doorway to the new DCU. That could be kinda cool
Warner Brothers seems to not want to do the legwork that Marvel put into their storytelling. I'm hardly the first person to say that, but, sadly, it remains true. Once this Flash movie is out and done, hopefully James Gunn will be allowed to lay a foundation upon which all of the stories can be told. And the whole thing is a shame. I liked Cavill as Clark. I liked Ben as Bruce. I adored Gal Gadot as Diana. Ezra Miller notwithstanding, DCs problem wasn't casting (and Ezra's a fine actor, just kind of a wounded person). They just want to tell the big stories without telling the little ones first. They've been trying to hit bases-empty grand slams.
If you think DC will continue with Ezra being Flash even if movie is great, you are crazy. This movie could make 1 billion and Ezra still wouldnt be flash moving forward.
To your point, Hector, about DCEU not having Superman and the whole story being out of whack compared to the MCU. It took Marvel a bit to get the ship righted from their characters being sold to four winds. But made it work with great story. The DCEU has all their characters, but don't have the consistent good story AND actors.
I think there is a misunderstanding here. Jonathan majors is not in or out, neither is Ezra miller. The Flash was filmed over 2 years ago, before he went on this bullshit run. WB cant just scrap the film, just like Disney cant scrap Loki S2 , which has Majors in every episode.

About the Ezra and Jon Majors comment at the start, they are not the same company led by different people with different values and so there is no point of comparison. To think otherwise and insinuate injustice shows a lack of depth in thinking. Both Ezra and Jon are in pain-- I do not know enough of either one of them to judge them, let alone make comparisons about them-- but I have felt pain myself and I pray for them and wish them well in their journey. 7:00 For those who have watched Scream 5 (2022). The new DC Universe soft reboot and the Flash movie is a requel. Remake of a sequel to the original movie that's based on the original characters but we have a new set of characters that are related to original characters as supporting characters.
Every one who is older than me always said "Michael's batman is the OG", I wanna admit I want to agree , but I never had the courage to watch those movies because I was afraid to spoil the image of OG in my mind that was created watching the Nolan's tribology, because Nostalgia has a secret spice called "time" in the recipe of making the OG soup, Things don't hit the same if you don't watch them on their right times. So this movie is going to be great introduction to the OG in these times ,in this age of evolved technology . But there's one more thing that older people say , which I completely agree with and my younger ones would also agree. "There's one thing that doesn't exist which is 'Enough of Batman' ".
James Gunn has the perfect opportunity to give us a Wally West Flash. He was the Flash spanning 23 years. If this movie is as great as it appears to be, and the Gunn DCU is established when it starts, let Wally be the Flash trying to live up to the legacy of a mythologized Barry Allen we never got to fully meet in this Universe that Wally is trying to live up to.
All the Ezra Miller stuff aside, I've already seen the whole Flashpoint thing explored to exhaustion on the TV series. I really am already kinda bored with another story based on that idea.

Ezra wont be back as The Flash after this, the movie is in the can. Majors did his Loki Scenes, he will still be in there, there is a difference, he isnt out as Kang yet. He will have his day in court. They are 2 different instances.

As for Majors, his star was on the rise being in franchises like Marvel films/shows, Creed, etc. He’d also been hired for multiple promotional things and upcoming productions. Basically, he’d been significantly more in demand than Ezra ever was and therefore had significantly more to loose as well.

In my opinion Kara is the true last kryptonian. Yes you have Clark but he grew up on earth with a loving family. Kara was a teen when when she saw her planet destroyed and is the last of her race alive that actually grew up on krypton and has any real memories of it. All Clark has are holograms.

From a narrative standpoint, it's going into how a single decision changed EVERYTHING, so switching out Superman with Supergirl and Bringing back Michael Keaton make sense. That being said, Cavill got burned by not getting a proper sendoff.

Nobody was really sure what the exact context was and no charges were ever filed against Ezra over it. It was generally just chalked up to him being really drunk and taking things too far(people even thought it might have been a joke at first). Honestly it wasn't until after all the other crazy stuff started happening that more people went back to that video and used it as clear evidence of his mental state. But at the time, it was controversial and raised some eyebrows, but ultimately not considered "that" big of a deal. Not enough to fire him at least. People make it sound like it was a clear cut situation, but it really wasn't when the video first came out from what I remember

Keaton has always been THE Batman for me. So excited to see this!
It's not that Miller gets a pass and not Majors. It was more timing. Miller got in trouble during post production of his big movie. Majors got in trouble before his next big project. One was more easy to cancel. Plus as far as I know, Miller hasn't had any other work of note after all his issues.
The Flash movie was already finished when Ezra Miller decided to go crazy and break all those laws, while Jonathan Majors has yet to film Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.
Actually Jonathan Majors was not immediately out and in fact he is still not out. Ezra has clearly been sidelined by DC Studios from what I have read and because Flash movie was so far filmed and had so many other actors involved including Micheal fricking Keaton (which i am so happy about) they decided to release it. Now if DC decides to keep Ezra and Marvel decides to keep Majors it will be bad

Miller was not dropped by their representation, and are being given the opportunity to go to rehab, and that shows how much these systems are willing to look the other way for successful white actors but maybe not for successful black actors.
Ezra is an amazing actor. He really put his heart to this movie.
Except in this movie it’s not like Avengers , Barry by saving his mom broke the timeline and by the time he’s probably back in his new present , it created super girl being locked away from the sun and Zod taking over . Hence Henry Cavill wouldn’t make sense because he created a new future and not necessarily going back in the past where Zod appears
As a Flash fan, it is weird to me that THIS is the first live-action Flash movie. But I am a huge fan of both "IT" movies, so I am going into this movie for the directors sake (& also Michael Keatons Batman as well)

I think the reason that WB is still pushing forward with this movie despite the things Ezra has gotten up to is because this is the last time were gonna see Ezra in the suit. They can write Ezra off after they make their money at the box office.

Looks great. One thing that is a bit funny to me though is how Batman is moving like he jumped right out BTAS now that he's in his 70's. In his 30's he was lumbering around barely holding his own against Joker goons. It's a lot like seeing Darth Vader in modern Star Wars content after seeing him slow and immobile in the original trilogy.

Agreed. I cant stand that Ezra used mental health to excuse gross behavior. It further demonizes/stigmatizes mental illness and those who have to contend with it everyday. Personally, I plan on skipping the theatrical release and watching it on HBO Max if the mood strikes.

I think the whole Zod thing is that it's an alternate universe where Zod turns up and Kal-El is not there to stop him, so what would happen. So, instead of Superman we get Supergirl instead, so that story will be different and not just a rehash of the Man of Steel story. So it wouldn't make sense to have Henry Cavill appear in this.

I think Ben Affleck is the best BRUCE WAYNE ever but Michael Keaton remains the best BATMAN ever. Keaton just looks perfect with that Batman suit with or without the cowl.
Keaton still has the best Batman suit ever, best Batman logo ever, best Batman theme music ever, best Batmobile ever, and best Batwing ever. Tim Burton really nailed the aesthetics, atmosphere, and sound from his '89 & '92 Batman films.
Ron Livingston from Swingers (1996) and Office Space (1999), and Maribel Verdu from Y Tu Mama Tambien (2001) with Diego Luna as a co-star have come a long way. Glad they're getting these opportunities as Barry's parents.
I love Air which will probably remain my favorite film of 2023. Diehard MJ fan. Batman made a cool movie about MJ 🐐 before he became Superman to Chicago and the sports world during the 80s & 90s. But The Flash is going to be my most anticipated.
I hope James Gunn is correct when he said The Flash is one of the greatest superhero films he's ever seen. I have superhero movie fatigue since 2021 but I'll never grow tired anticipating for the next Batman film.

I have to be honest, I really wish Grant Gustin took the film role instead. I know CoIE counts as a crossover. But jeez after this rollercoaster ride with Ezra, a better talent would have been preferred.

I love cinema and movies but I choose which one I'll visit the cinema for and The Flash went from "I probably won't watch it" to a "Oh I'm going to see that in a cinema!" type of movie. Those trailers are so fun, I can't wait.
However the whole Ezra Miller situation is still in the back of my head and I'm trying to figure out how to handle it, same for Jonathan Majors, who I LOOVE as an actor. I'm very interested in the decisions DC and Marvel will make in those cases.

Ideally this movie is supposed to be a sequel for the flash, not the first standalone movie. Perhaps the mistake about Ezra Miller is not that he's the flash but he was cast in another demanding franchise, who knows.
What IF the ending of this movie is similar to the 2001 planet of the apes?? What IF Barry manages to fix everything and goes back to "his time, his present" but it doesn't? Instead, he comes back to an alternate present realising that everything's changed so he ends up in an alternate REALITY where that reality is some sort of doorway to the new DCU. That could be kinda cool
Warner Brothers seems to not want to do the legwork that Marvel put into their storytelling. I'm hardly the first person to say that, but, sadly, it remains true. Once this Flash movie is out and done, hopefully James Gunn will be allowed to lay a foundation upon which all of the stories can be told.
And the whole thing is a shame. I liked Cavill as Clark. I liked Ben as Bruce. I adored Gal Gadot as Diana. Ezra Miller notwithstanding, DCs problem wasn't casting (and Ezra's a fine actor, just kind of a wounded person). They just want to tell the big stories without telling the little ones first. They've been trying to hit bases-empty grand slams.
If you think DC will continue with Ezra being Flash even if movie is great, you are crazy. This movie could make 1 billion and Ezra still wouldnt be flash moving forward.
To your point, Hector, about DCEU not having Superman and the whole story being out of whack compared to the MCU. It took Marvel a bit to get the ship righted from their characters being sold to four winds. But made it work with great story. The DCEU has all their characters, but don't have the consistent good story AND actors.
I think there is a misunderstanding here. Jonathan majors is not in or out, neither is Ezra miller. The Flash was filmed over 2 years ago, before he went on this bullshit run. WB cant just scrap the film, just like Disney cant scrap Loki S2 , which has Majors in every episode.

About the Ezra and Jon Majors comment at the start, they are not the same company led by different people with different values and so there is no point of comparison. To think otherwise and insinuate injustice shows a lack of depth in thinking. Both Ezra and Jon are in pain-- I do not know enough of either one of them to judge them, let alone make comparisons about them-- but I have felt pain myself and I pray for them and wish them well in their journey. 7:00 For those who have watched Scream 5 (2022). The new DC Universe soft reboot and the Flash movie is a requel. Remake of a sequel to the original movie that's based on the original characters but we have a new set of characters that are related to original characters as supporting characters.
Captain America: Civil War pulled it off, I think. Is it Cap or Avengers? I think Cap. I hope this will work as well.
Every one who is older than me always said "Michael's batman is the OG", I wanna admit I want to agree , but I never had the courage to watch those movies because I was afraid to spoil the image of OG in my mind that was created watching the Nolan's tribology, because Nostalgia has a secret spice called "time" in the recipe of making the OG soup, Things don't hit the same if you don't watch them on their right times.
So this movie is going to be great introduction to the OG in these times ,in this age of evolved technology .
But there's one more thing that older people say , which I completely agree with and my younger ones would also agree.
"There's one thing that doesn't exist which is 'Enough of Batman' ".
James Gunn has the perfect opportunity to give us a Wally West Flash. He was the Flash spanning 23 years. If this movie is as great as it appears to be, and the Gunn DCU is established when it starts, let Wally be the Flash trying to live up to the legacy of a mythologized Barry Allen we never got to fully meet in this Universe that Wally is trying to live up to.
All the Ezra Miller stuff aside, I've already seen the whole Flashpoint thing explored to exhaustion on the TV series. I really am already kinda bored with another story based on that idea.
