We just got married in OC this year! I’ve been going there for 31 years…back when I lived in NY, we’d still make the trip down every year! It will always be a special place for me and wish I was there with you guys!
Beautiful footage and seeing the horses in the wild didn’t disappoint either! The Artist is amazing and your art look terrific in Ms. Ellie! The “boondock” experience is fun...once in awhile! Be safe!😊
I spend 2 weeks in July yearly at Assateague state park. It is my favorite place on the planet. I am glad you got to see the beauty of the beach and met the horses.
So cool seeing the footage of Ocean City! I haven't been there in over 10 years, but it's fun to visit. Regarding seafood, I believe on the south end of the boardwalk, they did have a seafood restaurant, though I can't think of the name offhand. I had some good king crab there, of all things, though I know in Maryland you're supposed to have the blue crab. But yeah, Ocean City has a lot of places for crab cakes and the like. I know there is all-you-can-eat place for crabs somewhere between Delaware and Maryland, but it's on Route 13, not along the ocean. And Dough Rollers is really good! I did notice that Grottos sign, which is the go-to pizza place in Delaware.
My husband and I were there for the first time in September and stayed at the Commander Hotel & Suites. Where you filmed on the boardwalk, it was behind you. I hope you were able to go to Fractured Prune Doughnuts. They have the best doughnuts on the boardwalk (in my opinion). They make gourmet doughnuts fresh! We also went to Assateague National Park and saw the wild horses too!
Great video! We love Alisa's enthusiasm! Alisa, I (Lori) love that tank top!!!!! It looked beautiful on you! Nothing wrong with liking what you like! I'm not a huge fan of pizza, but that one did look really good! Loved that campground and the beach! If you ever make it to the Outerbanks, around the Corolla Beach area, do the wild horse tour! It's amazing and so worth it!
Dang! Wish you guys could have came closer to Baltimore in the inner harbor Chesapeake bay. That’s where all the good crab eateries is at!! Dang maybe next time.
Spending today watching as many of the Eastcoast roadtrip vlogs that I cam! I'm loving it so far and living thru you 2 for right now! I have my notebook next to me, taking notes lol. That pizza looks delicious and I'm sure the pizza in CT was good.....but if you want amazing pizza, you need to have pizza in NY and I mean the city (any of the boroughs, esp Brooklyn). Thanks for these awesome videos
Brings back fond memories of our boys boogie boarding off that beach for 2 days following a lacrosse tournament. Love following your adventures and I look forward to meeting you in person December 5
had you drove coastal highway there are plenty of seafood places, yet again when you went across the 50 bridge on your right you missed Higgins crab house! how did you not see it
Hi Alisa & Jason, I’m glad you guys had fun at Ocean City, Maryland. I’ve been there. Too bad no crab, at least you guys had wings and pizza. I was wondering did you guys visit Atlantic City, New Jersey? Can’t wait for the next vlog. Have a fantastic week my friends! ✨🚐❤️
hey you guys if you havent been to pennselvania yet when you get there you need to go to lancaster county and go to shadey all you can eat buffet run by the amish when there you need to try the shoefly pie and the woopie pie
Sure looks like you had a great time that pitcher is really awesome I had the pleasure of getting to ocean city 2 couple years ago it was great and it was the off season but it was like the best Safe travels Wherever your HEADED next😊
Beach camping hack.......when you have sand on your feet sprinkle baby power on them and wipe. The sand comes right off, no sticking. We do this all the time.
You can never go wrong with wings and pizza….oh and beer! Also, I grew up in CT and not a fan of New Haven pizza (not Sally’s, not Modern, nor Pepe’s). Most folks do though so I’m interested in hearing your thoughts. That said, living in NC for nearly 20 years, I’d gladly take any of those compared to here lol.
FYI, There is much better pizza in OC than Dough Roller. We get pancakes there. We go to OC regularly and have been 4 times in the last year. Franco's pizza (down near where you started around 16th street) is excellent. Also, if you wanted seafood on the boardwalk, also near where you started at the Courtyard at 15th st is Captain's Table. While the hotel isn't old, that location has been home to Captain's Table for years (different hotel). There's also a ton of seafood places if you get off the boardwalk itself especially on the bay side.
Really enjoying my wonderful armchair travel along with you two kids! Great footage on all your videos! Thank you so much for that. Lived in Baltimore about 5 yrs in the mid-90s. So of course Ocean City was where we always went for our beach time. I love Ocean City the water's not that pretty but it's just such a cool freaking beach town. Also love the way it's split. So on one side is it the bay I can't remember? Is the huge amusement park. And then on the Atlantic side is the boardwalk directly on the beach. I love the way the boardwalk is so freaking long. You can hop on and off their free trolley. Which I needed because that is a lot of walking and I was much younger then! Love the way they still have the wild ponies that's awesome!💗💗💗 As always safe and happy travels😘 p.s. 😲 when in Maryland you must have the steamed blue crabs yum yum yum and of course they're lump meat crab cakes are like no other! Do not have all the fillers like crackers like you tend to get more in the southern states. They're mostly just lump crab meat God they're so good. And you can't forget the steamed shrimp with quartered onions. Sold at almost every single Pub! Yeah they know how to do blue crab and shrimp in Maryland!😘 I prefer the steamed like you get in Maryland over boiled. They tend to get a little too hard boiled. When they're steamed comes out perfect. So when I lived in Ocean Springs,Ms. Could not get steamed. So I just made my own Maryland Style 😆
@@EECCTravels YES for sure!💗 That's what makes Maryland famous for.. The 3 dishes I mentioned...He'll I forgot they're all doused with lots of OLD BAY seasoning.. of course... the locals eat what is called the mustard of the HARD SHELL blue crabs. But I prefer not to eat that. 😆
Those horses have no shame or fear. They will open up coolers, picnic baskets, tent zippers, purses and plastic bags to get at food. They will bite and kick if you tick them off when trying to shoo them off. People are advised to keep at least 40 ft away but there are always those who don't follow the rules. There are 2 separate herds of horses on Assateague and both are managed very differently. The Maryland herd roams basically free and is managed by the park service. They don't usually intervene unless its a grave matter. The Virginia herd is fenced and is owned and managed by Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Department. They get regular vet check-ups and are vaxxed. You are pretty much guaranteed a close encounter on the Maryland side. Not so much in Virginia. There, you may see them close but usually are at a 1/4+ mile distance. The foals of the Virginia herd are rounded up each July, swam across the channel and auctioned off at Pony Penning. Some foals are bought back to preserve the herd bloodlines. The auction is a fundraiser and helps support the FD and maintain the care of the herd. The Maryland side has nothing like this occurring, further illustrating the differences between herd management. Each herd has their individual bands within the herd consisting of a Stallion and a few mares each. They steal the mares back and forth and the younger colts move around too and learn to work on building their own harem. The first horses you saw were Susie (pinto) and Chip (dark), I believe, and she is VERY aggressive for food and will walk right up to a person and just as quickly bite. Sometimes they have a baby with them and Susie is worse then. Don't even think she was intimidated by a vehicle. She's pretty fearless. Not sure who any of the rest were. Some people know them all at a glance. Glad you enjoyed the island.
If you’re going to NJ. Please try the boardwalk in Seaside Heights NJ, and go to the Sawmill and eat the pizza. You’ll never want any other pizza again! Lol 😂 I grew up surfing, boating, water skiing, and other water sport that you can imagine! Of course I’m from the hippie generation.

The wild horses there are like we see in Estes Park, Colorado except they are elk - on the golf course, walking down the streets, etc.
Enjoy the beautiful ponies!
Love that ruffled top on you ! So prettier than tshirts!

They're WILD PONIES
Go to Corolla, NC & you will see many wild horses
