I was taken to this camp by my parents in 1960. I well remember the hike up and down the steps to get to Plemont Bay (arguably the best beach on Jersey). Nice to come across this video, for sentimental reasons, but sad to see the camp in such a state.....

Great video.I worked for Pontins as a musician in many of the camps around Britain and lived in Jersey for a few years where I met my wife. She worked there before we met.

I went there about 1990 with my mum and it was a brilliant place, the food was gorgeous, jersey royal spuds everyday with meals and gorgeous channel island milk which I have had a weakness for ever since. So sad to see holiday centres left to rot like that.

Fantastic video! Haunting & very moving of a place that has so many happy memories to people who holidayed there! I visted it back in 2008, and it was very spooky! I all ways felt as if some one was looking over my shoulder? Took many photo's of the place, and it still haunts me when I look at them!
Thanks for getting this back up again!

I always find it very sad to see buildings that have fallen into disrepair, and see it as a reminder of the fact that everything dies.

Love the video but alas a shame that another place left to rot.
I am glad through the group I can see what has become of the Family camps that have been closed and abandoned. Keep up the reports

I worked for a summer there in 1980. I feel sad for the poor, forlorn piano, that will never play again.

Very creepy vid that. I worked there for one summer (1980) and remember Pontins as a lively and fun place to be then. All turns to to dust so they say.
