    Goodbye, sweet prince Mike. We will miss you. Take care of him for us Seattle! I hope his jump from coordinator to head coach wont turn out like some of the coordinators that have left the Ravens (Caldwell, Pagano etc).
    In any case, Seattle got an awesome one. Thank you, Mike, for an AWESOME season. It was nice to finally not watch the Ravens blow enormous 4th quarter leads anymore. Best of luck out west!

      He will have a tremendous GM who will work closely with him and allow him to build a group of coaches around him that he is comfortable with. Ultimately John Schneider will provide Mike everything possible to make him comfortable and to make the transition to HC as seemless as possible. I personally think Mike Macdonald is going to do an amazing job as our HC and I forsee over a decade of excellence with him at the helm. Hopefully we'll get a Seattle vs Baltimore Superbowl I'm the not too distant future. We appreciate your understanding for us going after him. It speaks to the excellence of your organization and John Harbaugh that we are running to his tree for help to get back to where we want to be. Good luck to you guys and us 12s here will also make sure to let him know how appreciative we are to have him take this leap of faith and take control of a proud franchise who want to continue to grow our legacy as one of the best teams in the NFL.

I remember having less than 30,000 fans in the seats at the 60,000 capacity Kingdome during the sad decisions of the Behring ownership years. Paul Allen’s Holmgren run brought a fun run to a referee influenced Superbowl loss. The amazing run with Pete Carroll was very fun to watch, and was historic with post season appearances and Superbowls. Wish Jody would have kept with Pete to his end. Instead of taking a chance on a 36 yo first time head coach. For me, I will sell my tickets and wait to see if Hawks will be worth watching.

    This guy is up against a major task. The seahawks have been pretty underwhelming despite the talent level. But the seahawks are about to be sold.... This is not something that a new coach wants to come into. I believe its the reason why it took schneider longer to hire someone. Not saying nethanial hacket shouldnt have been fired, but when a new coach comes in and then a new owner comes in after a down year... there are a few examples of coaches getting bounced in this circumstance. Dan Campbell had a terrible first year but was given a second. Hackett was not so lucky. New owners bring new expectations and that doesnt give a new coach the warm and fuzzies. Which is why we should have kept pete as coach at least through the sale of the team.

    • @Malthiest
      @Malthiest 8 месяцев назад

      On the other hand, this could signal that the Seahawks aren’t going to be sold for awhile longer, if ever. I know it is one of the stipulations made by Paul Allen in the aftermath of his death, but there are legal ways around that stipulation if need be I would presume. If the team was to be sold in the next couple of years, do you really think that was not brought up in the interview process? So it looks like the Seahawks are going to be around for at least the next six years. Plenty of time to go all in if they really want to.

    Who cares what a woman thinks about a men's football coach? When was the last time she suited up in pads? I say this as a man that hasn't played football and my opinion is equally irrelevant. Reminds me when Jamele Hill (sp) dogged the choice of Campbell as the new Lions coach. She tweeted the "Lions passed up how many black coaches for THIS guy"?
