Going beyond the bare minimum. I always have but it has never paid off. My dad always told me either do it right or why do it. At several jobs form 16 to 67 I would go the extra mile and what it got a lot of anger. I made them look like the lazy people they were so they took it out on me. My job loved them and they were the ones who got promoted. They could afford to promote them as they were not doing their job anyway. Me they could not afford to promote because I was the one getting the job done. In the long run when they had layoffs I got the axe after 20years and they survived. As far as dating that did not fair much better as women felt I looked desperate and clingy. I was not I just liked doing for people I care about. My one down fall is I do not know fashion. Could use help there. I do hate ironing. Quick tip when I was even T-shirts I wash then hold them by the shoulders then shake a couple of times then put them on a hanger to dry. I was surprised how well they turned out.
I find this "bare minimum" talk to be insulting. Every man out here is doing a lot more than "the bare minimum" just to survive. We get 0.00 handouts. We're not getting Pell Grants for a free education like women. 2/3rds of all entitlement spending goes to women -- fully double what men get. And what little of that goes to men, is going to homeless guys... which is where we end up if we do "the bare minimum" like women. There are no 501c3 for mens shelters, mens mental health. My University offered free room and board to any woman who would switch from LA to Engineering -- not available to men. Universities have 60+ women rowing teams -- often fake rowing teams -- just to satisfy Title IX requirements so they can field an 85 scholarship football team. Those fake rowing teams are how we got the celebrity admissions scandals at USC. Those women couldn't get through admissions going through the front door, so their celebrity parents bribed the rowing coach to offer scholarships... the girls had never rowed a boat in their life. The men have to risk getting CTE for the rest of their lives grinding for Lincoln Riley, and the women are literally on a yacht -- owned by USC staff no less -- pretending to "practice" for a rowing team that only exists on paper. A woman talking about "the bare minimum", has no idea what she's talking about. And it's beyond disrespectful.
My son is a first year Law student at Michigan. He’s over 6’ tall, handsome, a well rounded renaissance young buck. He is calm, and has a great sense of humor. Grew up as a Marine Corps kid, at a time when I was deployed a lot (9/11 happened). Born in Japan. Well traveled, plays percussion, guitar and the cello. Fit! Played lacrosse 🥍 in high school. Yet, the two serious young ladies he dated as an undergrad, and post, graduation, thought he was too serious. To mature. He has a great group of friends. Young ladies, and young men, he has known since high school. Today, he’s 100 percent focused on his studies. I doubt he is going to pursue a committed relationship with today’s modern women. The risk isn’t worth investment in his resources (time, money).
That was me at an Ivy League law school 20 years ago. Found a great woman and happily married with 5 kids. He’ll find the right woman. Tell him to wait until after law school. And tell him not to date another ultra hard driver. If he’s at Michigan, he is a serious guy. He might have luck looking for a woman who is interested in her community. My wife was in brain injury rehab. I’m the type A, she’s a happy mom who is now a therapist but keeps it at 20 hours a week.
If he is all you say he is, women will come to him. But he still needs some rizz to, pick them, keep them and avoid abuse by them. Being tall, handsome and plays guitar is all he needs to meet them. He still has much lessons on picking the right ones and keeping his choice after the newness wears off. If not, he will be doomed to many short term unsatisfying relationships. He doesn't need to sweat approaches, but that is just a first hurdle, many trials still await him. Stay handy Dad.
I am in a similar situation to your son. I am 6'1, fit, workout and play sports (I have played different ones and always had an incredible hours-results ratio). I am also a musician playing multiple instruments, have visited 24 different countries, I have a Pdh in languages (I can speak Italian, English and Russian), I am in general a very curious and social person with a great social circle and I am considered a lovely, empathetic gentleman. Oh I also have a job that I like and I definetely have a bigger income than the average guy my age here in Italy (I am 26). However while looking around I can only see girls that would bring little to no value to my life so I don't really see a point in dating to be honest. That's probably also related to the fact that I have many hobbies: essentially I prefer to invest my money, time and energy on myself and my passions rather than on girls my age
I'm here for the advice, but I'm too lazy to put in the effort, so I'll just keep looking less good and hope for the best. I'm calm and comfortable with this - I can handle it in any situation.
I haven’t watched in a while, but I have never seen you looking better. Must be the work out and the new you 😊, congratulations on getting engaged. You deserve a great relationship, you work your behind off. Congrats
Agreeing with all of this, may I add these things which can be implemented immediately (but need to be practiced) 7. Posture, stand up straight with your shoulders back 8. Make and keep eye contact (but don't glare) 9. Speech, calmly and clearly 10. Listen, actually listen, don't just wait for a pause to jump in.
So… is drinking water expensive? is it taking a walk everyday? Changing your mindset and your manners is? Or maybe quitting alcohol? Some of those things can, in the contrary, save you a lot of money in the long run
Like Chandler Bing, the wimminz in the offices I've worked in always thought I was 'obviously gay' BECAUSE I was well-groomed, worked out daily, and had a calm demeanor.
I would add; No pullover shirts with breast pocket. They always get misshapen, shrink at different rate or in different direction on Tshirts, Polo's and long sleeve pullover tees and ruin the 'put together look' IMO. Ick. Here's a esoteric and recent benefit to some I have discovered near accidentally: Castor Oil. About a month ago, I started rubbing it on my feet to soften up calluses. To my surprise, in 3 days, my feet had NO ODOR at all. Full day in sweat socks, take them off they are damp, put to within an inch of my nose...nothing. 🤯 What a bonus for anyone who's feet tend to be odoriferous. Mine were not terrible before, but now now, no fear of running her off when shoes come off. Calluses softening up too but takes longer. Then, I read that it lightens dark spots on skin and is a super moisturizer, so started putting it on my face and arms. Within 2 weeks, my beard was growing about twice as fast. This could be very helpful to a young man whose beard is thin and patchy, My arms are severely skin damaged by the sun, so started applying it there. Now I have a some 2" hairs on my arms. I plan to thin it with Almond oil because this hair growth thing is off the hook. People with thinning hair, man or woman, should take notice. Yes. Thin with Cocoa oil for use on hair and scalp they say ( I don't need it for that) Drawback: It's thick and sticky but clear and no odor. I only apply in evenings when I am in for the night. There are many useful and unusual benefits to Castor Oil. It is super absorbent through the skin. Use it thoughtfully.
Putting plain baking soda in your socks before putting them on will peel the thick, crusty dead skin off your feet by the end of the day and make them look and feel like fresh baby feet.
Hi Courtney! Appreciate the video. Last week I was at a singles mixer where I met a nice lady who I learned goes to my church. She let me buy her a beer, we had nice 10-15 minute conversation, and we exchanged numbers before she went on to talk to another guy at this mixer. I believe that I made a good first impression on her since I was the first guy who approached her and offered to buy her a drink. Our conversation was also lovely. She seemed flattered especially after confessing that she’s normally pretty shy. I texted her twice this past week to see if she wanted to get together and she didn’t respond. I also looked for her at church today and didn’t see her. A close friend of mine knows she goes to our church as he’s spoken to both her and her close friend/former roommate in the past. My question to you: should I stay patient and continue to try and make contact with her at our church or should I move along and not pursue someone who is hard to make contact with?
Why are men not allowed to wear a smartwatch? Does this standard apply to the opposite sex/gender or is there two separate standards based on sex/gender?
Who told you are not allowed? You are. The same way you are allowed to wear pokemon T-shirty, but you can't expect to see you the same. BTW I wear smartwatch 90% of the time.
That was a pretty smooth segue into the Carl Friedrik advertisement lol - but I agree they are great. I have a laptop bag and wallet from them and they are incredible.
Can you do a video about this for women? I know you have primarily men as subscribing, but women need to know what makes them look better or more desirable. That would be a fun video and could be shared by subscribers when women complain no one wants to date or likes me. Even the small steps can make a huge difference.
Jeez, I had a date with a nice girl on Sunday BUT... she was wearing clothes like a grandma would, completely asexual. Also she had very crooked teeth which was a top turn-off. I had to give up further dating because I couldn't stare at her :( And her major hobby was knitting. What could we talk about?
You forgot Shine your shoes. you can have a pair of bespoke shoes but if they don't shine it's game over. Also a hat gets me lots of compliments. not a ball cap but a 3 dollar flea market panama. You women love it.
This captivating video triggers a flood of painful memories from the end of my 6-year relationship just three months ago. The woman I loved with all my heart chose to walk away, leaving me grappling with an insurmountable sense of loss. Despite my relentless efforts to salvage what we had, I'm left feeling disillusioned and unable to imagine a future without her. Despite my attempts to move on, I'm drawn to express my deep-seated longing for her here
The struggle to release someone dear to your heart is undeniably arduous. I empathize, having experienced a similar circumstance when my 8 year relationship concluded. Refusing to accept defeat, I pursued every conceivable avenue to reclaim his affection. Eventually, I sought the assistance of a spiritual counselor, whose wisdom and intervention played a pivotal role in reuniting us.
Hey man I too went through something similar. The only thing that will heal is time. You just aren't ready yet for another relationship. I will say what helped me is being around friends and family, exercising and most importantly doing all the things you've always wanted to do but couldn't. Focus on yourself and the rest will fall into place. If you get lonely, get out of the house. Sitting at home wallowing in your sorrows will never help you feel better
Every woman I ever was successful with in dating happened because I was madly attracted to her, wanted to know her, and did what I had to do to get her. Spending lots of money on clothes and things and worrying what she thinks doesn't do it. You can't be someone you are not. But you can be yourself.
i maintain that being a gentleman is a standard most modern day women can't recognize. They will not recognize it as a caring gesture, only 'bare minimum'.
Most important thing you can do is loving yourself. I do most of the stuff you talked about in this video but I am still invisible to most women. I have never loved myself for even a day in my life. So how could someone else? (I don't want sympathy. Im telling people to find a reason to love themselves if they want someone else to love them.)
I don't know why I watch these videos anymore, I've been diagnosed with sschizophrenia and know deep down I will never get a girlfriend in my life (unleds I hide it
love the video! keep it coming. But just a suggestion it's kinda hard to focus on the message because I see you reading it out. It's totally understandable but a bit too obvious.
When all of these things are said and done, it does not make much of a difference to a guy with a face shape/structure/whatever you'd like to call it, something that a person has no control over, that makes the eye sockets visible. I have and will always look like a guy who is sleepy/drunk no matter what time of the day. Nonetheless, these tips are helpful in general and everyone can benefit from them, whether or not it'll be visible on your face.
A LOT girls like bully’s in my experience, either verbal or physical.. take a look around. A guy who will give you unwanted advise or stand too close to you and get on your space, talk in a condescending way/ sarcastic, talk bad about others, making unfunny jokes that are mean, act superior, or Get aggressive when someone talks or looks at their gf
This stuff is nice but tbh when I'm at the gym and working out I'm entirely going to focus on comfort and functional especially as a not slim guy those basketball shorts and tshirt are perfect for working out and easy to peel off when I get home as a sweat soaked mess trying to pass as a person. So many other clothing options are legitimately too small like shorts that are skin tight isn't good for the gym lol. Not going to touch current hellscape of dating.
I agree with this, I went the extra mile at the gym, and women come upto me asking me how I can do it and they say I'm amazing lol Actually everything she said in this video is perfectly correct. I seen a lot of her videos and so far it's 99.9% accurate rate I'm impressed Courtney.
@@hihtitmamnan Basically women are attracted to extra ordinary men, because I think they want their kids to be amazing, if you have money is one thing, if your talented with skill that's another gem to find, wouldn't you want a man or woman who has amazing skill and are good looking? The difference between say Dove Cameron, beautiful and talented vs say just a model who's beautiful but not talented or amazing outside of her looks? I would pick Dove because she also has talent, this is all asides from the brain and being compatible with them lets put that aside and just categorize talent vs no talent but with equal beauty. What made me amazing is being able to push at the gym harder than even MMA fighters could pull off, 10 hours at the gym, 4 hours of cardio, 4 hours of weights, and the last 2 hours shower/change, walk home more cardio and all that in my 37-41 years old just before the pandemic. Kids younger than me couldn't pull that off daily for 6 years. and you would think it's normal cardio? Nope 60 minutes treadmill uphill with 20kg on my back another 60 minutes but this time on a step machine with 20kg on my back, then 2 classes back to back 60 min each class, then hitting up weights for 4 hours on and off with 15-30 minutes break in between hours, to load up on some protein shakes and aminos. I did all this without any lunch of breakfast, all I was on amino acids, creatine, vitamin pills A-Z and pre-workout's that just contain aminos and caffeine. What gave me energy was being in a full pure state of ketosis and listening to frequency music that reached my soul. Also being in a happy mood gives energy, if you do carbs you won'tget half the amount of energy that I got. Fitness comes first before lifting weights.
Let’s break this down then. While it’s true that the base of sexual selection is the sexy son hypothesis, good genes and Fisher’s principle when sex ratio nears 1:1, you have to explain the hard data of what women select for in short and long term mating… Short term: 1. Physical attractiveness 2. Dominance and confidence 3. Sexual experience Long-term: 1. Emotional stability 2. Ambition and access to financial resources 3. Compatibility of values
@@zyyl1949 And now we have entered a time when they want a long-term man with short term traits and attribute. Make them settle for a long term alone, and they will wait for a chad to appear, take your money and cheat on you with them because they've already secured half your financial resource
Coming from a man, the problem with this is the type of women who value this type of man are either already in committed relationships and/or have kids, or do not want to be in a relationship at the moment. While there are always exceptions, I would argue this is the majority.
@@triplekillerable That's a little misleading. Ever seen an awards show and multi millionaire celebrities dress like hobos? It's trendy for a rich person to do it, if an average Joe does it means they're poor.

This just in: Teddy Balthazar's wife recommends a "Real Watch". I tease. I agree. Apple Watches are bland and boring. Real watches are a huge style upgrade.
Courtney is right about doing more than the bare minimum. For example: most guys will text a woman. Of course, there is nothing unusual about that. Here is what I do differently. I put periods at the end of my sentences and make sure my grammar is correct. It shows you're taking them more seriously. Women and people in general may not say anything, but I promise you people do notice the difference.

Loser
Maybe it would help if YOU didn’t have a negative view of women. Sounds like he’s not eager to bring home a new one for you to meet in person.
He sounds amazing, I hope he doesn’t it would be a huge mistake.
I'm here for the advice, but I'm too lazy to put in the effort, so I'll just keep looking less good and hope for the best. I'm calm and comfortable with this - I can handle it in any situation.
Great presentation and a calming presentation with a beautiful voice.
I haven’t watched in a while, but I have never seen you looking better. Must be the work out and the new you 😊, congratulations on getting engaged. You deserve a great relationship, you work your behind off. Congrats
You always manage to clarify things so well!
Great video, Courtney! I’d love to see some of your recommendations on higher quality swaps.
Yes! I would find a swap video for sneakers with shorts helpful. I would like some brand suggestions that are not athletic in nature.
TONS of money makes men look better!
The cynicism brings it way down, though.
@@christopherortiz9330 having a sense of humor pumps it up though
Priorities. Instread of buying new game console you can spend em on your look
So… is drinking water expensive? is it taking a walk everyday? Changing your mindset and your manners is? Or maybe quitting alcohol? Some of those things can, in the contrary, save you a lot of money in the long run
Scientifically proven
"upgrading your socks and underwear" Thank you for the reminder Courtney 😅
Or at least wash them.
I was calm in 3 situations last weekend when another woman angered me. I think I have grown up lol
Like Chandler Bing, the wimminz in the offices I've worked in always thought I was 'obviously gay' BECAUSE I was well-groomed, worked out daily, and had a calm demeanor.
4:16 "swap to a real watch instead" shots fired, love it :D
Watch belt and shoes...
Yes. Thin with Cocoa oil for use on hair and scalp they say ( I don't need it for that)
Drawback: It's thick and sticky but clear and no odor.
Bro, you've been ghosted. Just move on. Don't be a simp.
Why are men not allowed to wear a smartwatch? Does this standard apply to the opposite sex/gender or is there two separate standards based on sex/gender?
no taste
Who told you are not allowed? You are. The same way you are allowed to wear pokemon T-shirty, but you can't expect to see you the same. BTW I wear smartwatch 90% of the time.
You always make things easy to follow and understand!
Women just have to exist in 2024 since so many men are beta
Courtneys a woman. She doesnt like women
Incredible! Where did you find a spiritual counselor, and how can I get in touch with him?
dr apala omofulma is the name of an exceptional spiritual counselor renowned for his ability to reunite you with your former partner.
Thank you for this valuable information, i just looked him up now online. impressive
Great video! Thanks for putting this out.
12:52 “Don’t even worry about the (women) who don’t think that”.
Probably the best advice in this video.
A watch always works! Always
I really needed to hear this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Happy Sunday, Everyone! Let's use this brand new week to be BETTER!
Happy Sunday courtney ❤

Another great, insightful, helpful video. Thanks, Courtney!
It’s my pleasure! Thanks for being here 🤍
I love Courtney's disclaimer, "Great women."
Its so subtle. Gets me every time. 😄
Thanks for the video. x
🥰🥰
I love your videos; the best part for me. “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again ❤”😊
Another classic from Courtney
i always share Courtney’s videos to a couple of people.😅
Happy Sunday Courtney.😮
Every woman I ever was successful with in dating happened because I was madly attracted to her, wanted to know her, and did what I had to do to get her. Spending lots of money on clothes and things and worrying what she thinks doesn't do it. You can't be someone you are not. But you can be yourself.
"I was madly attracted to her, wanted to know her"
- it doesn't work like that. You were just lucky.
i maintain that being a gentleman is a standard most modern day women can't recognize. They will not recognize it as a caring gesture, only 'bare minimum'.
Or they call you “nice” and proceed to ignore your existence
You always manage to make it look easy!
Your videos make men look and feel better ❤
You are a wise woman
Excellent....Ms. Ryan 😊
Another good water tip. Add fruit. A strawberries, lime, orange, or pineapple. It really enhances the flavor.
Love it! So refreshing too
Thank you for sharing.
Great episode.
Another fantastic video, great advice thank you God bless
Cardigan buttons drive me WILD!!! ❤❤❤
Love your content Courtney 😊
Confidence. Ability to make money. Good job title.
🎉I'D LOVE THAT STAND ALONE VIDEO. THANKS COURTNEY
Ooo I would love a video on swaps/upgrades
I agree with this, I went the extra mile at the gym, and women come upto me asking me how I can do it and they say I'm amazing lol Actually everything she said in this video is perfectly correct. I seen a lot of her videos and so far it's 99.9% accurate rate I'm impressed Courtney.
Why are you amazing again?
Nope
60 minutes treadmill uphill with 20kg on my back another 60 minutes but this time on a step machine with 20kg on my back, then 2 classes back to back 60 min each class, then hitting up weights for 4 hours on and off with 15-30 minutes break in between hours, to load up on some protein shakes and aminos.
A good list. We should do these for ourselves.
1. Being handsome
2. Being attractive
3. Being good looking
4. Being gorgeous
5. Looking like Chad
6. Being Chad
Let’s break this down then. While it’s true that the base of sexual selection is the sexy son hypothesis, good genes and Fisher’s principle when sex ratio nears 1:1, you have to explain the hard data of what women select for in short and long term mating…
Short term:
1. Physical attractiveness
2. Dominance and confidence
3. Sexual experience
Long-term:
1. Emotional stability
2. Ambition and access to financial resources
3. Compatibility of values
Check, check, check...7. Change name to Chad.
@@zyyl1949 And now we have entered a time when they want a long-term man with short term traits and attribute. Make them settle for a long term alone, and they will wait for a chad to appear, take your money and cheat on you with them because they've already secured half your financial resource

@@xjoemallardx is that what people chant in the mirror to summon you?
Coming from a man, the problem with this is the type of women who value this type of man are either already in committed relationships and/or have kids, or do not want to be in a relationship at the moment. While there are always exceptions, I would argue this is the majority.
I think men and women have very different ideas about the meaning of the bare minimum.
Your words on exercise are profound. Great job 👏
You nailed it . . .
People under estimate what staying hydrated actually does to your body, your skin, eyes, hair are all improved and it makes a difference.
I'm a king of hydration and loneliness.
loveeee it!
Thank you so much !
My pleasure!
Ms.Ryan! Thank you. Still a big fan! Very classy, elegant!
Thanks Courtney.
Big yes on the make a swap video
We need a Video on What Clothes look Better on a Woman 💯👏
who is we? unless you are female you don't need such a video, you can automatically
know when you see a woman if you like what you see on her.
Her: _Do the bare minimum._
0:42 - [shows a chad multimillionaire celebrity]
he isnot wearing anything millionaire is wearing. It's basic. If you can't afford that then you are homeless probably
@@triplekillerable That's a little misleading. Ever seen an awards show and multi millionaire celebrities dress like hobos? It's trendy for a rich person to do it, if an average Joe does it means they're poor.
She literally said not to do the bare minimum lol do you even listen?
Women are not even worth the bare minimum, enjoy getting pumped and dumped by Chad.
She's got like one picture with her husband on IG.
Also, her redentials are sagittarius with a "carved niche on youtube".

White t-shirt, blue jeans, new balance sneakers….take it or leave it.
Just like how I've gotten memorable compliments from women, I try to execute gestures that will stick in womens' minds for quite a long time.
I wonder if, among the guys who follow this channel, the problem isn't actually- needing to improve, but- a lack of quality female options. And following this channel, improving & improving, is really just wanting to somehow move towards the goal.
I can't imagine all these dudes need this much help. I cOULD imagine their fashion sense is not great, that I'll give you... but I think they're probly decent dudes. I think the problem is we can't find good *available* women.
I would like to suggest something if I may 😊 Do something that you’ve always wanted to try. Maybe you’ll unlock a hidden talent or passion that will help you be happier in your life. Hi Courtney..great video as always…good taste always wins…don’t have to spend a fortune to look groomed
If look younger than most of men of my age, I believe that improving my wardrobe could help a little bit right?
Helpful
Courtney is right about doing more than the bare minimum. For example: most guys will text a woman. Of course, there is nothing unusual about that. Here is what I do differently. I put periods at the end of my sentences and make sure my grammar is correct. It shows you're taking them more seriously. Women and people in general may not say anything, but I promise you people do notice the difference.
If you want to attract book worms, sure.
