@@CozyyPR i'd also be interested. I find myself getting walled by projectiles/zoners and don't know what to do when people shield and spotdodge/grab whenever I get close. A little guide on how to approach and find openings would really help!
@@Sunflowa I’d recommend watching FatalityFalcon’s streams, he usually answers these kinda questions often but basically against zoners you have to just pressure for stage control, if you can keep them in a corner, you can pressure them with dash shielding and spot dodges in order to draw out options for them. The key is mostly being patient and being consistent in your punish game
@@Sunflowa neutral air hits twice, and so does up smash. If the opponent spot dodges a lot, use those two moves when you approach with their shield up. For best results, bait the spot dodge by attempting a grab a few times. This may make them think you're going to grab every time they shield. Personally I favor up smash because you can falcon kick almost immediately after throwing it, so you're almost never in a bad spot, but Nair works well if you can make it look like you're going for the grab.
IDJ pairs extremely well with this character. You can get more from down throw and if there’s a platform you can extend even further. His side B also links into IDJ combos and even into death with Knee.
Really good short guide man. The IDJ stuff is really game changing for Falcon. Another one you can do both on flat and platform stages (especially battlefield) at like 25-40 (40+ being for heavies) is raptor boost IDJ double up air into knee. Don't have to fast fall anything since you land on the platform after the second up air. Flat stages it still works but you have to fast fall the second up air and most times IDJ the fair.
what I love about Falcon is that he is so simple that adjusting to other characters is a lot easier. Id rather play Falcon is a disadvantage match up then Samus
Hit my first intentional knee on a friend of mine yesterday and it was on Random landing Cap against Marth. Only did it because this video showed me reliable set ups and kill confirms. Thanks for that!
Bro you have become one of THE most reliable sources for Falcon tech and combos. Love your content bro, it's really helped me see new ways to improve. Maybe do.a video on how to deal with Falcon's disadvantage? Sometimes I'm lost and could use some ideas in disadvantage.
A really good combo is this. It has to be With platforms. Side b, idj Up Air, another Up Air, land on the platform and knee. Its very solid and works on every character
yep thats another solid one! i believe it could work without plats if executed properly but yea platforms definitely make it a LOT easier to pull off 😁👍🏽
though not a true combo what I've learned to hit consistently just by playing Falcon is a raptor boost into a falcon dive, if you're playing with 2 other people it's possible to do this to one player and falcon kick down into the other, doing damage to both
I’ve recently started with smash as I’ve only played casually at friends houses. I found an immediate love for captain falcon, and I have been practicing him for a while now. Thanks for the tips, and I will hopefully be able to actually perform them 😅
I think idj up air only confirms into knee with platforms but I didn’t know Nair 1 x2 could lead to idj. I generally just go for Nair 1 to idj at 12 percent higher than RB to idj since that is the percentage RB does about. Generally I just go for Nair 1 to up air to knee on battlefield. This is a good starting point for new Falcons.
Guy that’s heavy stuff :D Playing since 3-4 months smash and I would realy wanna do things like that with falcon :) And I realy think u helped me thank u 💪 Good work man
I was gonna be a little Mac main because I loved how fast and small he was with the ko punch but then I saw falcon and I saw just a somewhat superior version of little Mac.
Thanks for this! I just started playing CF after getting my ass whooped by him A LOT and realizing his hyper aggressive rushdown style fits my playstyle
the combo is really frame tight so there might be a small window were they can get out and it works better on some characters and at certain %s but just try to buffer the Nair after the Up Air and it should work fine for the most part! 💪🏽
how do u do multiple nairs and it being a true combo? the opponent is either launched too far to reach of i do a knee. Also, i do a standstill shop nair, otherwise it would only be knees for me.
sometimes it can be hard depending on character and DI, but by fastfalling right after the nair connects you should have time to land and quickly get another Nair in :D
@@CozyyPR Honestly i have only just started playing Smash and have already fallen in love with the indepth part of the fighting mechanics, i just figured out you how to short hop and stuff so i just got 1 Nairs starters tips for doing upair follow ups?!
hi! check out my IDJ guide, hopefully it helps you but feel free to leave a comment there if u still have questions! 😁 ruclips.net/video/FT1FCiG2c20/видео.html
You can actually buffer idj out of the last frames of a move or landing lag. I generally just input a normal double jump right before side b finishes. If I land Nair 1 input a normal double jump right when I see the hit connect and that generally works.

For down throw up air into nair, what’s the timing on it bc l can never seem to land it. My opponent normally just falls out and my nair just whiffs 😔

ah, i see you're a man of culture as well.
I find it very hard to believe that an one frame input attack a "beginner" tek is the reverse back air.

Currently main this beast of a character.... which stick sensitivity you recommend tho
i use high sensitivity !
I don’t understand how do you even do a light jump when I try to jump to do nair or upper kick I miss completely
Very helpful
Why can't i even do a nair into a nair i dont seem to have the same speed or positon you have to even pull it off :/

Use tap jump and practice doing tap jump, x/y and flicking the c stick all at the same time. IDJ is extremely easy if you already play claw.
You can actually buffer idj out of the last frames of a move or landing lag. I generally just input a normal double jump right before side b finishes. If I land Nair 1 input a normal double jump right when I see the hit connect and that generally works.
