I grew up in the Church of God (Anderson, IN), our movement has always had women preachers and we are Wesleyan/Holiness, but not technically Pentecostal, so I missed out on seeing dancing and tongues growing up, but I knew it was a real gift. I love these stories of the people of God in different denominations and movements. It's wonderful to see how the Lord moves. What the woman of God said about women in culture was just what my Grandmother taught me about women preaching. This is really good.
Mel L, women are NOT suppose to be preaching and teaching the men! The Apostle Paul makes this very clear in 1st Timothy. This is one reason why the church started falling away. Look at Juanita Bynum...Joyce Meyer...Paula White, Debra Morton...they know the bible but they either missed the part about women not usurping the authority over the man or they are just in plain rebellion! It doesn't even look natural for a woman being in the headship over men! It causes an effeminate spirit in the church upon the men!

I too struggle with bipolar depression, but nobody could really understand what one go through. This was better than I thought it would be. I remember the hairpiece then the bald head when he came to preach at Fire in the Rockies in Denver, Colorado. He was a different kind of brother and pastor. He did things that I asked why we were not doing more of and that was community outreach and counseling. I could feel something when he spoke and I was raised in COGIC but became I more eclectic for the same reasons that many did and that was the strict and legalistic ways of knowing God in the COGIC faith. Good to see the Four Square bridging the gap.

As a previous resident of NOLA I remember all of the controversy. Katrina has blown me to Texas. However, I remember singing in the conference choir and the wonderful experience being apart of the recording of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Conference project highlighted in this piece. I also saw and experienced the Holy Spirit. I remember Bishop Morton walked the top of the chairs in the Superdome laying hands on people. He could not have done that on his own. God uses EVERYTHING and Anyone who is willing. Praise God for Bishop Paul S. Morton's willingness to be used of God.

My maternal Grandparents were voted out of the Baptist church when they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit so they left the Baptist Church and went to the Assembly of God Church and that was where my Grandmother received the call to the ministry this was in the 1930s
So thankful for Bishop Paul Morton, my former Pastor, Bishop Kenneth Robinson, & the FGBCF....I was able to serve as a Teen instructor under Christian Ed, sing in the Super Mass Choir, and then serve on the International Worship Team as the International Minister of Worship for the Central Region under Bishop William Murphy III. This may sound crazy, but I have never met Bishop Morton nor his wife, however in the spirit realm I consider them to be my best friend. I wish Bishop Morton could meet my Pastor Bishop Fred Bridy Sr., they kinda met many many years ago while sitting in the lobby of a hotel. My Pastor told the congregation, they spoke. I grew up in the Church of God (Anderson, IN), our movement has always had women preachers and we are Wesleyan/Holiness, but not technically Pentecostal, so I missed out on seeing dancing and tongues growing up, but I knew it was a real gift. I love these stories of the people of God in different denominations and movements. It's wonderful to see how the Lord moves. What the woman of God said about women in culture was just what my Grandmother taught me about women preaching. This is really good.
Mel L, women are NOT suppose to be preaching and teaching the men! The Apostle Paul makes this very clear in 1st Timothy. This is one reason why the church started falling away. Look at Juanita Bynum...Joyce Meyer...Paula White, Debra Morton...they know the bible but they either missed the part about women not usurping the authority over the man or they are just in plain rebellion! It doesn't even look natural for a woman being in the headship over men! It causes an effeminate spirit in the church upon the men!

I know it was nobody but God that brought this video to my feed. I have never had a Bishop Morton video suggestion before. I started to consult God about my life and situation. I too struggle with bipolar depression, but nobody could really understand what one go through. My God how I need a strong mentor to pass the mantle to me, I need a double portion blessing upon me so that I walk under the anointing in my ministry. This was better than I thought it would be. I remember the hairpiece then the bald head when he came to preach at Fire in the Rockies in Denver, Colorado. He was a different kind of brother and pastor. He did things that I asked why we were not doing more of and that was community outreach and counseling. I could feel something when he spoke and I was raised in COGIC but became I more eclectic for the same reasons that many did and that was the strict and legalistic ways of knowing God in the COGIC faith. Good to see the Four Square bridging the gap.

As a previous resident of NOLA I remember all of the controversy. Katrina has blown me to Texas. However, I remember singing in the conference choir and the wonderful experience being apart of the recording of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Conference project highlighted in this piece. I also saw and experienced the Holy Spirit. I remember Bishop Morton walked the top of the chairs in the Superdome laying hands on people. He could not have done that on his own. God uses EVERYTHING and Anyone who is willing. Praise God for Bishop Paul S. Morton's willingness to be used of God.

My maternal Grandparents were voted out of the Baptist church when they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit so they left the Baptist Church and went to the Assembly of God Church and that was where my Grandmother received the call to the ministry this was in the 1930s
So thankful for Bishop Paul Morton, my former Pastor, Bishop Kenneth Robinson, & the FGBCF....I was able to serve as a Teen instructor under Christian Ed, sing in the Super Mass Choir, and then serve on the International Worship Team as the International Minister of Worship for the Central Region under Bishop William Murphy III. So many lifetime friendships & connections were established and I wouldn't trade it for anything! Long live Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr. & the FGBCF, Int'l!!!

This may sound crazy, but I have never met Bishop Morton nor his wife, however in the spirit realm I consider them to be my best friend. I wish Bishop Morton could meet my Pastor Bishop Fred Bridy Sr., they kinda met many many years ago while sitting in the lobby of a hotel. My Pastor told the congregation, they spoke. (I believe it was right before Bishop Morton became really well known). Anyway Bishop Morton said something, than he had to leave. My Pastor had a conference I believe he had to go to, but from listening to him, I know he would have wanted to have went with Bishop Morton.
