Scattered strong-to-severe storms, hot and humid Thursday across the Charlotte area

It was hot and humid again Wednesday with highs near 95 degrees and heat indices peaking near 101. A few strong-to-severe storms developed in the afternoon but more widespread storm activity is expected across the region Thursday.

Highs will reach the low 90s tomorrow with feels-like temperatures in the upper 90s. Our team wants you to stay weather aware Thursday for scattered severe storms possible, especially between 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The highest impact will be damaging winds in excess of 60 mph for the entire area.
