IMPORTANT NOTES: This is the last video I’ll be uploading for the Unranked to GM series. It’s obviously been done a lot before, and the only reason I felt like uploading this one was because I genuinely felt people could learn from it. Tank role legit runs lobbies and I couldn’t get a 100% win rate like this on any other role tbh. Mauga’s design is quite literally busted and you can really do so much with him. Again, last video of this nature that I’ll be doing this, I know there are mixed opinions regarding these type of videos. The future videos will involve high level gameplay with hopefully more ways for you guys to learn/improve. Cheers

I've been playing Mauga recently and having a great time so I was thrilled when this video dropped. One criticism though: I would like to see the ranks of the lobbies before the games start. I felt like I couldn't follow the journey as well. Took some of the hype away. Thanks for the great vid.
I think Mauga is fun to play. I get it why everyone says he’s busted, but as basic as his kit is, you can’t just go all willy-nilly with him, you have to play smart with him. One thing I like is how they approached his chainguns. Instead of giving him just raw, high damage (like bastions turret form), they made it so that you have to combo them; light them on fire with one, then crit with the other one which I think is a cool idea. Also in terms of playstyle, he’s more of a poke tank than a brawler. Most of the time, you’ll be at medium range, his overrun is more of a repositioning tool or a quick escape option, and you only go in if you absolutely have the advantage. It’s so weird to think that he was almost in OW1, but with the kit they were making at the time didn’t work with the character, so they made Sigma instead. Not to mention they basically the talon heavy, a boss from the old pve retribution mission into a playable character. So for what he is, I think they did a fairly decent job in designing him.
Honestly I think the only time he's ever busted is if he's getting all resources dunked onto him Most of the time I can deal with a mauga on my own unless he's getting all the cooldowns and everyone's playing close and body guarding for him Which rarely happens but that kinda coordination makes anyone seem insane

@@stillnotchill2560 I mean, it is educational as long as he does the highest ranked solo, low rank is pretty much a gamble of playing a cursed match where you are alone or rollercoaster the enemy team to oblivion so I am fine with him just skipping the tedious part, plus, sometimes people have to learn how to behave with the team, not carrying the whole match solo when they dont have the only have the knowledge but not the skill to make it happen
@@digiass2135 nah bro.. playing with a dedicated pocket healer that also happens to be the best duo hero for mauga to remove his biggest weakness of anti grenade is not educational. For anyone interested in seeing how to play mauga to climb out of their ranks, this video is rather pointless unless you have a GM Kiri duo. I've reached GM on tank before, this is just smurfing for fun, this isn't educational.

I would much prefer the gameplay where dont duo. As soon as you said you had a duo I was much less interested.
Me it was the opposite! So used to see solo u2gm so it made things different and interesting to see a kiri + mauge duo!
