  • I've been listening to Cytotoxin for awhile so it was no surprise that randomly on my playlist The Beast Within, by Deathawaits popped up because it features Sebastian Grihm from Cytotoxin. I was at the gym and I just knew one day I would need to do a drum cover to this song.

That was a beast of a playthrough, the performance was incredible but I think my favourite part was conducting the outro, you looked immersed in the music and it was a great finish to one hell of a track.

Haha thanks bro! Yeah ill admit it was the first thing my body decided to do when it finally calmed down from the hecticness of the song. Im grateful that you took the time to watch the performance as well. All in all it took roughly 7 hours to get this video made.

@@DrumlionMusic Nah sir, I am the one who should be thanking you for uploading a cover of a song that is essentially sprint competition. Must've taken a toll on your feet and wrist. I used to be in a metal band back in high school and this was the thing that my drummer had to endure on every live performance we did.

@@lukmaanpratomo6866 haha, you know whats interesting? As physically taxing as this style of music can be, us a metal drummers enjoy the challenge of learning and practicing the techniques required to be able to play this style of music. Plus it physically gratifying lol.

solid playing. you play rather soft for a big dude. kit is really tight around you. almost cluster phobic. space it out and swing for it bro! nice job nice chops.

Nice playing man.. I like the "BEASTLY" double bass and the placement of when they decided to highlight and emphasize those moments. Bringing those Headbanging vibes.. Also, i liked how at 1:15 the decision to utilize an up Tempo Blast beat was Sick.. It kinda caught me by surprise thinking they were going to bring in the kind of slower tempo breakdownish chugging guitar vibe.. But the final production deciding to go Blast Beat at 1:15 and continue for a few bars for me it kinda set a tone for the song.💀🤘

Thanks man! I definitely appreciate the outlook on the song. I definitely had to play this song with some prep time because there are some unorthodox things that happen in the original song that i had to force myself to get used to. But all in all its gratifying to play it and i really do like what the song brings to the table.
