I stayed there, and I agree they are nice enough rooms. The walk was really no problem.

When you are hiking for hours, what really is a few more minutes? Thank you for your comment.

I stayed there before the remodeling also a walk distance to take the 5: 30 hikers bus to go to the Kaibab trail .

I find Maswik slightly less convenient, but good value nonetheless. Thank you for your comment.

I like the inside of the room. It looks nice and clean. Having a back porch would be a great bonus!
I saw the article today on the new record holder of a rim to rim, being 92! I thought it was pretty cool 😎

Making the video, I thought it made the contrast to Yavapai Lodge more clear, something I had not noticed as much in person.
I will have to check out the 92-year-old, I am always impressed by other people's hiking accomplishments.

I have sat on those back porches in the Summer when evening thunderstorms are common, and they are so pleasant. Thank you for your comment.

@RationalTalk when we went to the west side of the canyon in the summer of 2011, we witnessed a magnificent thunderstorm off in the distance. It eventually got to us, and I experienced my first ever monsoon there. I have to admit, it was intense and scared me a little bit way out there on the dirt roads. I imagine watching from the comfort of a back porch is a more pleasant experience.

I have been caught in the wet clay on backroads in the thunderstorms when I was younger. That is quite a lesson as the only solution was to wait for the road to dry. As of now, I enjoy the storms from a sheltered place if possible. @@nationalparksprincess3216

You seem like a huge complainer! I bet you're wonderful at parties

Lol. We are all entitled to express our opinions civilly. I no longer attend parties as I did when I was younger as I really do not like socializing all that much. And I've found that sometimes people annoy you because you see an element of yourself in them.
