As a fan of GASM, this brings me some joy. Thanks for the video. Hopefully the skyline reverts closer to what it was like when I was a kid. Imagine your parents driving you an hour through the pine barrens and farms of south Jersey and as you pull up to a giant parking lot surrounded by trees, only a few rides peak out from the forest, leaving your imagination or memories from past visits be your 1st impressions. It was a magical park.
For all the destruction GA is going through, your home park, HP continues to grand and expand like champs! Twisted Gravity in '25, major Choclatetown expansion in '26, and who knows what else in the next 10 years. Some activity inside the arena, maybe? We'll see!
I feel like I’m the only one who is so happy this is leaving 😂 I did not enjoy this ride at all, put these weird pains in my legs and always was a skip for me. In my opinion, six flags can do better, and I’m glad they’re making room for that!!!! And in my opinion, thank god they’re scrapping it and not relocating it haha! Other parks deserve something new, and a ride that hasn’t been relocated many times. King da ka, different story. I’ll be so devastated once they begin the demo process….if or when they do.
If you want other parks to get something new, they have to invest more money, which Six Flags doesn't want to do. If anything, a relocation would be great for a smaller park.
I think they're making a mistake by demoliting this. They should've sent it to another park like Six Flags America, Six Flags Darien Lake, Michigan's Adventure, or La Ronde.
You getting out to Upper Clements is legendary, my first ever roller coaster as a kid was Tree Topper and I never rode another roller coaster again until I went to Great Adventure a couple months back and got on Batman the Ride first thing.
It was on my bucket list for over 10 years and never did I think at the time when I visited that it would be within the last month of the park’s existence…..
@@louis5855 I didn't mention anything about a floorless conversion, What I meant was the standard B&M sitdown trains like on B&M's Sitting Coaster models (Kumba, Incredible Hulk, Dragon's Run, etc)
@@Benthetrainkid There is virtually no difference in ride experience between those two train types. The general public certainly does not care about details like that. Coasters have a shelf life. Green Lantern was over 27 years old AND underwent a relocation. If you want to see an example of what happens to coasters after being relocated a third time, just look at some of the trainwrecks from Six Flags' ride rotation program, like Flashback at SFMM.
Good news on Green Lantern being destroyed. That was my least favorite coaster I have ever ridden. It was garbage and the worst coaster at Great Adventure by far. Now Kingda Ka, I loved that coaster.

Peace and balance has been restored at last...
So Surreal to see a B&M getting scrapped.
Wouldve love to have seen this go to St Louis
That plot of land is so traumatized. Scream machine, now lantern ripped out… parachutes too soon. How sad
KINGDA FREAKING KA was definitely my most ever favorite rollercoaster. Now that it's gone. I'm definitely going to miss it a lot.
I mean Green Lantern is only gone because people constantly complained and didn’t care about it so

It's a shame they couldn't at least save green lantern's structure. Even if the trains sucked, that course & elements are phenomenal. 👍👍👍
I still cant believe theyre gonna fully scrap Ka... so mad at them
They will do what they did to top thrill 2
@poopedonyourchest799 why would they do that lol

The ride already got relocated once and was pretty old so it definitely wasn’t in the best condition
Rides have life cycles. Incredible Hulk at Islands had to be retracted completely. These things don't last forever.
Not Six Flags America, they already have Firebird.
@mitchellries256 Or kept & rethemed to honor Great American Scream Machine + standard sitdown trains
@@Benthetrainkid they already have a B&M sit down looper
Watch the new attraction be underwhelming. 😒
This is forever gonna be SFGA history. (Including kingda ka removal)

@@TheCoasterSpot Can I use your POV footage in a video I'm making? I will credit it all that, I just have it in over me talking
I can unfortunately see this as the start of B&Ms getting scrapped often. Lots of ageing ones out there
how big whil the replacment be of kingda green lanteren twister and zumanjarow
Rest in pieces green lantern. You might be missed
Tho i never rid green lantern it still holds a special place in my heart since it was part of the skyline, sad to see it go.
El Toro in 3 years....
I wonder if the trains would be used for parts for vortex, riddler’s revenge and Georgia Scorcher
They should have had Green Lantern sold to another park & refurbished with sitdown trains
That would make it Medusa 2

They could use the destroyed track prices for cool theming!
I wonder if they offered it to B&M to buy it back... You'd think they might want it.
RIP Chang
It hurts so much to lose a B&M
BMs are all repetitive and boring.
@ standup are unique, and they are built well, the older b&ms are amazing
You B&M meatriders are insatiable. I would rather have almost any Arrow Dynamics custom looper than this piece of crap ride.
@ I just like the standup aspect
@@windowsdylan8807you are miserable
Mad I can’t go to see it’s demolition
So sad to see 😭

So much wasted potential. There's plenty of parks that need a ride like this.
So sad seeing b&m track look like this.😭😭😭
It almost looks like paper. What a testament to the strength of the boxbeam backbone.
We what American scream Machine back but updated track
You were trashing on Ka to begin the year because of TT2 but now that doesn’t fit your narrative
