This video is for Certified Clinical Pharmacists (BCPS). Pharmacotherapy ensures the safe, appropriate and economical use of medications as part of interprofessional treatment teams in a variety of settings, including hospitals and health systems. The BPS Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist® (BCPS): Has the advanced knowledge and expertise to optimize medication use, improve patient outcomes, and serve as an objective, evidence-based source for therapeutic information and recommendations Works with physicians in hospitals to design and/or modify patient’s medication therapy regimens, recommending adjustments to dosage or alternate medications when appropriate Works with physicians in outpatient settings to optimize medication therapy, tracking progress and compliance as well as making suggestions about diet and lifestyle changes to better manage their health. Thank you for such detailed explanation. Dr. Akram I am a freshly Dubai Health authority DHA liscensed pharmacist who wants to go back to Pakistan and work for Pakistan . I am clinically much competent but as everyone says that asian countries don't consider pg years and baord certification. Shall i still go for pgY1? And later bcop if i want to work in Pakistan?
In my knowledge, Pakistan/India there is no PGY1, your Mphil/mpharm not considered as PGY1....you need to work as clinical pharmacist specially pharmacotherapy you can sit in BCPS...wish you all the very best
@@DrAkramAhmad shaukat khanum cancer hospital is offering Ashp accredited Pgy1. And I am in uae already. Shall i go for ashp accredited pgy1 in Pakistan or masters in international university as i am interested in practise based research aswell. And i am getting admission in both.

Hi sir, qamar sir has said that he trailed for 4 times for BCPS at 4th time he got admission, qamar sir said at 4 years experience he got admission in BCPS, in which field we need to get experienced please guide me.
