His trilogy about depression is amazing and has drawn attention to an illness that was a bit overlooked in China.The songs are so well composed, light music paired with deep lyrics for "I Really Want to Love this World", reggae for Madhouse, and borderline heavy metal for 7 Personalities which is Nr 0 in the trilogy. Hua's concerts are amazing because there's a lot of interactions between him and the audience, first of all he composes lots of songs to be sung together at the concert, whether just the chorus or the whole song, then the audiencce gets to choose online before the concert which song they're going to sing for HuaHua and he'll play the piano for them, he'll just sing along when there's a mistake and that's the occasion for back and forth teasing😆 Truly unique, I've never been a fan girl my whole life but I flew 3 times to China this year to attend Hua's concerts.

Brilliant reaction! HCY is one of very few artists who can come up with very little accompaniment and still make a big picture. I really love this song and am very thankful to Martians for helping him to come out of very deep depression.
It's a two-way relationship. He was wearing hats, because he lost a bet with his fans, and as a self inflicted forfeit, he... Shaved his head. He has spoken openly about his struggles and asked those who listen to him, to be kind to others who are different, quirky or struggling. He is now in a much happier place. Worth maybe seeing his recent Concerts to see how his relationship with his fans just keeps growing as they support each other, and everyone else.

There is something very special about him that I have never found in any other artist, past and present. I guess watching this performance already tells a lot why. More and more fans from outside China are lucky enough to go visit his concerts in China. Maybe 1 day I am that lucky too. Hua Chenyu is truly amazing. Hope you will react to more of him :-)
