- Do I count the number of thoughts that I have daily? When we think we build mental models. We build ideas. But You are not an idea!

I have one question for everyone ...
I've been exploring spirituality for the past two years, listening to Osho and Jiddu Krishnamurti. Before this, I had a strong interest in logical and mathematical subjects. However, as I've delved into spirituality and Hindu scriptures, I've noticed a loss of interest in these logical pursuits.
In my field, which relies on logic and mathematics, I now find it difficult to engage with these concepts. Instead of quantifying logic, I tend to let it dissolve. My ego has significantly diminished, and I now experience a sense of selflessness, giving to others without feeling like a distinct being giving something.
Despite this progress in my spiritual journey, I've lost my connection to logic and mathematics. I've become more quiet and prefer solitude, feeling content with being alone.
I've been practicing observing thoughts from their root level, and sometimes I catch myself thinking, "I am observing thoughts; thoughts are crazy." I’m finding it difficult to balance my spiritual and materialistic life, and I feel lost in the process. It seems my interest in material pursuits has completely faded, but I also wonder if this is just my mind's way of escaping and making excuses. I'm unsure, but it feels like my interest in the material world is gone. How can I achieve balance between spiritual and material life, especially without relying on logic? I can't have job if i am not logical in my field, but i have no interest on anything at , all , what i am doing wrong , or it's all game of mind , if someone has similar experience ??
My dear friend ♥️🙏
What you are describing is normal.
You are in the awakening unfolding process.
Old stuff falls away, and new pathways are to be threaded.
For a while, the mind is stunned, often times confused.
But you will gain a clearer and clearer vision of how to move forward, and what to do.
I suspect that you will regain interest in logical pursuit, but probably from a new perspective.
Trust the process.

@@AwakeAble Glad you replied 💌
I appreciate your encouragement to trust the process and your belief in my ability to find new perspectives and paths. It's a reminder that every step, even the confusing ones, is a part of the journey.
Thank you for your support and wisdom. It means a lot to me.
Warm regards,
❤

"The mind has no one to talk to because I am not listening", very good! Did you practice meditation to see through the illusion ? Thank you.
Hi my friend ♥️🙏
Please watch this video. It will answer your question.

@@AwakeAble Thank you. Funny how some seek all their life without awakening, and others awaken without even knowing that awakening could exist.
@@RestAsAwareness 👍🙏
In our western world most people make their living, earning money by using their mind. People who have desk jobs. What happens to that person who awakens? How do they pay the bills?
Get a new job!
They work and earn money just as everybody else. A video about that subject is coming in a week or two.
♥️🙏
It's got to be a bullshit statistic that we should have an avarage of 60K thougjts a day. No way.
🫣
Nice try, Hans.
Let me put it another way.
Suppose you could dream a dream again with one difference only: this time you KNOW you are dreaming, although you still don't know what will happen or how the dream will end. Would you experience the dream as earlier or would you have way less thoughts, having left the erroneous personal perspective, enjoying the dream as the consciousness in which it appears, by which it is perceived, of which it consists?
I have heard all the 'Yes, I still have lots of thoughts but that's OK because (I tell my self) I am not interested in them nor attached to them. I don't identify with them nor do I believe them. I simply ignore my thoughts, I never count them, hahaha!'
But then why do you still have those thoughts, Hans?
Is that nonduality, ignoring a significant part of your dream?
Your thoughts tell you what you're interested in so why pretend to be not interested?
If there is a continuous stream of thoughts, doesn't that mean your ego is still alive and kicking?
the brain is a thinking organ; it comes up with thoughts like a heart pumps blood, in response to the input of every other cell and organ and organ system and external force on the organism. ego lives in the secondary interpretation of those thoughts, in the creation of rigid identities and narratives that isolate the self from the whole.
Don't make thinking into your enemy. A thought cannot think.
Who is thinking?
🌻
@@AwakeAble If there is a continuous stream of thoughts that is not functional (the default mode network) your ego (and all the beliefs that support it) is still around having convinced you it is gone. Who is thinking? Well, notice that the vast majority of your thoughts is about you, your story, your life. So it has got to be your ego.
@@larkin2890 Every heart beat is functional whereas less than 5% of our thoughts are. So there goes your comparison.
@@theosiermann how can the functionality of a thought be quantified? where does that 5% figure even come from?
Stop! You're torturing me.
