Nostalgia Alert: Classic VW BuGs I Sold That I Wish I had Back

- ✤Hey Everyone.
✤Welcome to my channel Classic VW BuGs ✤
**If I was a Magician, I would magically bring back some of these beloved VW Beetles that I restored in the past. I always here the stories, "man I wish I never sold that bug!" Now I say it from time to time. There are certain projects that just touch your heart, and I think this is especially true when it comes to the Classic VW Beetle, it touched so many hearts throughout the decades.
There are many that I have restored over the years, and being lucky enough to do it with my Pop, is very heartwarming to me. I will always remember those times.

0:01 Y very ❤ 0:01 very l😂
Isn't it always the way. Those are some beauties and so basic and simple.
I love 1960s VWs and my wife doesn’t understand my reaction when I see one. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Amazing simply amazing - glad you still post video's from time to time.
For sure I will
Wow, looks like you want them all back Chris 😊 They’re all beautiful…if I had to choose, have to go with the ‘52 Split Window!
it would be nice! ahaha
beautiful. I have GOT to get our bug out of the Stimson bow shed and give it some attention!
magnificent restorations 😊
Lovely bugs ❤❤❤
I have a ‘65 beetle I love the covered lens and the shape of the front fenders.
Great vid Chris... I think any Bug enthusiast could echo the same sentiments. My 57, my 65, my 61 (in Germany).. my two type 3s.. SIGH...
All lovely cars Chris and if had to choose one it would be between the Sea blue and the 50s wine red bug
That Java Green ‘67!😮🙌🏼
What a elegance
Beautiful ❤ it's funny how we become emotionally involved with our rides. Maybe it goes back to riding horses, camels, elephants ect... Great work
Believe it or not - just before my beetle-on-the-roof-birthday-song was recorded I bought a modell of our black convertible at a flea market- similar to the one on the back seat of your 51 split with 1951 on the platform - coincedentally my age group - keeping both forever of course...
Thank's Chris and have a nice weekend ✌️PEACE
Nice car, i love looking this car ❤
Black '51 split is the best... 😍
Yeah, I wish I had them all too!!!!
I remember when you posted that orange 70 convertible, it was a nice looking car. I got my birth certificate for the 57, thought it was made in sept of 56, but mid october. I don't know how they got it made and delivered to San Fran in like 5 days ! Anyway, turns out the car was black, already have a black 62 sunroof, not doing another one. It's in primer / rust stage now. What is your favorite color for a factory oval rag top ? Thanks Chris, and loyal subscribers...
Thank you my friend, I love strato silver for an oval ragtop
Wow I forgot how many nice vw's you had.
😎AWESOME😎
Cool memories!
❤❤❤
Chris, Roughly, how much do you charge for a resto on a Bug in good shape. I’ve got a ‘64 with good paint on the exterior, seemingly un-repainted interior, decent upholstery. I took it to a shop for a lube job and the owner said it was underneath the cleanest vintage Bug he had seen.
If it doesn't need paint, what does it need then? Just repairs?
@@classicvwbugs It’s got a lot of random rattles and bangs that I’m not experienced enough to track down. When we did the lube job, I was anxious to get it on the lift so I could look underneath and search for loose parts. Didn’t see anything loose. I know the running boards are loose and need to be replaced. I found some billet aluminum ones online, but they are always out of stock. I had an EV conversion done on it by FlashDrive Motors outside of Austin, TX. We added front discs, coil over shocks, 12V conversion, LED lights, seat heaters and A/C. It has 7 Tesla batteries, 3 in the frunk and 4 behind the back seat. Range is between 170-190 miles. Oh, it’s Bahamas Blue. Let me know if you’d like to see a short video.
@@donelmore2540 where are you located? Bring it in.
@@classicvwbugs The car is in Texas currently, but I plan to ship it to CA next year. Wish I was in Florida so I could just zip over. LOL
In Reality if you had them back, you would only put them up for sale again. That's your job.
You sold a 51' Split!!! WHYYYYYY!!!!!!!?????
Ha, see the message at the end of the video.
@@classicvwbugs LOL. I commented before I got to that! I totally understand. Man, I really want to get into restoring these bugs. Ive only had 2, and a Westy. 67' and 69' bug, and a 76' westy. My wife doesn't understand the VW bug. There is just something about it that gives me the feeling of satisfaction. I don't drive anything newer. I have a 73 International Loadstar, 88 F250 for my main vehicles. My wife has the nicer newer tahoe. Im thinking I need a light weight bug again. Would love to have a 50's bug.
@@raycecil4643 you know this would be a great video to make, maybe like a podcast if you are down to talk about it. I can maybe interview you and the topic is "your hunt for a bug.". Or something of that nature. Just popped into my head! I wonder if people would be receptive to that. Let me know if you are interested.
@@classicvwbugs Yes. I am interested in this. I have a shop, with a lift, and all the tools. We could do a hunt/restore series? How do we contact each other without giving away personal info on here in the comments section? Thanks
@@classicvwbugs I found your email. I emailed you.
