S50 stationary steam engine

This is a model of a single cylinder stationary steam engine, of a type commonly used to power mills and factories from the mid 19th century.
This model is a Stuart S50, made in the UK many years ago by a skilled machinist. It has a bore of 15.9mm, and a stroke of 31mm. It only needs very low pressure steam to run. Here it is driving a small generator with a flat belt.
