Cotton Candy Heart I just wanted to say that out of every comment I've seen this is my favorite. It's just so true, and your wording of how to explain it was perfect. I probably sound stupid, but your comment made me happy💓
Patrick's like, "yo, I got a soul voice!" and they were like "how do you have a soul voice" and Patrick's like, "watch this, " 3:02 And they're like "wow that sounds like soul!"
"WWWWWAAAAAAATTTTTTEEEERRRRR" Believe me, that's my favourite part of Addict With A Pen edit: 100 likes... wow, thanks fam edit 17/2/19: oof 900+ likes clique game going strong yee
2 more from trapdoor that I liked: 1. The loud piano immediately getting softer at the very beginning 2. The background vocals for "Everyone gather around for a show"
Tbh, Before You Start Your Day gives me this feeling in my chest and I don't know what it is and I can't explain it but it is one of the most comforting things in this world.
S ø m e ø n e E l s e ' s S l e e p I know I feel the same thing it makes me feel really sad but at the same time really safe and happy and I don't even know...
In my opinion you forgot to the the part in fall away where it says "BANG" after Tyler finishes singing "And my skin it will start to break up and fall apart"
Am i the only one that at "the pantaloon" heard a little "3,4" in the beginning? It is a little faint noise. (I hope you understand this message,my english is so bad, sorry)
Okay so I honestly love these "little things I love" videos. It is so easy to overlook all of the things that are in these songs, and take them for granted, and tbh I think more about what I'm listening to then just the lyrics because of videos like these. Anytime someone points out stuff like this it reminds me to stop and appreciate all the hard work that goes into making music and find all of the little things I love about songs. So thank you!
I LOVE the background vocals in Air Catcher. It always gives me chills :0 AND the fricking end of Before You Start Your Day it's so effing beautiful asdfghjkl
I think my favourite song in the album is "Friend, Please" with the lyrics "I just won't let go till we both see the light" Idk, they just hit me hard.
some more little things I like: - when the "away" in Fall Away is cut in half - the 'connected' way the "lada" parts in BYSYD sound (I can't really explain it) - when it gets quiet after the first chorus in Friend, Please, except for this synth sound - the bass solo in Trapdoor - the harpsichord in Isle Of Flightless Birds - "all. we. are. is. anisleofflightlessbirds" - also this kind of bored and sassy tone of Tyler's voice during the rap of IOFB
one thing i really love about these videos: it makes you notice little things that you may not have noticed before, as well as appreciating the things that you did notice
I LOVE HOW TYLER SAYS I PROMISE YOU AND THE DRUMS AND THE PIANO STAYS I JUST ALWAYS START CRYING AND GET CHILLS IN THAT PART LIKE IM CRYING RN I CANT LIKE AHHHHHH
The bit in oh miss believer when he's like "I-II love you" right after the strings start idk it's hard to just explain but you'll hear if you listen I just love that part
the little " I promise you" always gets me, they're such perfect last words for the album. ( and no.19 is like car key noises and it's epic, fits so well for not an instrument noise)
Something I loved about this video: This is the first time I don't see anyone underrates Chris/Nick, and it even says some good things about them. Also I love the "inocence" in this album: Tyler always looked tired like kind of both tired and energetic, they made this pretty and nostalgic album and original members which made the band did because they were good friends in high school. EDIT: Forgot the fact it looked more emotional, I just love that. Old members are just as important as Josh, and I never seen anyone caring very much about it. Nice video :D
idk why but this album feels like home to me, its something that I'll sit and listen to in my room late at night in the dark and it will give me the same feeling as if I was looking through childhood photographs. I am and always have been terrified of growing up and for some reason this album just helps me let that go, idk. its like a big hug when your crying from your mum, or a stuffed animal you kept way too long, its when I used to have a nightmare and squeeze in the middle of my parents bed to protect me from the bad things. its comfort in the dark. I also like that no matter how the boys change their sound and how upbeat their songs become, which I love btw, I'll always have this to fall asleep to. anyway just felt like sharing, stay alive |-/
The chirping sound in A Car, A Torch, A Death combined with how echoey and distant Tyler's vocals are, as well as the words to the song, it just makes it feel super lonely. Like the chirps are a cry for company, and the only company, only other person for miles: Tyler just grows further. And you're left out in the shivering cold snow.
I personally think this album was the best... they all make me feel something. It's peacefully depressing in a way. Wish I knew who they were younger, hope they play more of this era.
I had seen this video in my suggestions several times but never watched it until now - I was missing out. I think the exact same way on all of this, I love the raw emotion in this album and all the little ways it's expressed. Thanks for making this video, fren c:
one of my faves is during A Car, A Torch, A Death "It was a little dark so held a MAKESHIFT TORCH" IDK why but the way he says makeshift is very satisfying
Little things I love in self-titled: the entirety of the intro Implicit Demand For Proof, and how Tyler sings the verses, like, "I...knoOOOWW you're not a liar and I...knoOOOW that you could set fire this day," and how soft the chorus is compared to the verses but then it completely builds up and dies at the end. Wow. I just realized Implicit Demand For Proof is an absolute masterpiece.
I feel like when I first listened to self titled, I slept on Taxi Cab... now it's one of my all-time favourites. There's a certain ethereal intensity that takes my breath away every time, I love it.
Johnny Boy is my favorite on the album almost entirely because of that part with just Tyler and the piano and you get to feel the sort of desperation in his voice, and I think it helps to convey the true meaning of the song better. But just me.

I LOVE the background vocals in Air Catcher. It always gives me chills :0

I think my favourite song in the album is "Friend, Please" with the lyrics "I just won't let go till we both see the light" Idk, they just hit me hard.
THAT DAMNED SIGH THAT CAN BURN IN HELL BECAUSE IT IS TOO GOOD FOR THIS WORLD
1:53 sameeeee. I love it so much. It sounds, raw almost?
some more little things I like:
- when the "away" in Fall Away is cut in half
- the 'connected' way the "lada" parts in BYSYD sound (I can't really explain it)
- when it gets quiet after the first chorus in Friend, Please, except for this synth sound

one thing i really love about these videos: it makes you notice little things that you may not have noticed before, as well as appreciating the things that you did notice
Air Catcher and Trapdoor are definitely my favourite songs in Self Titled. Just saying lol
*This video cured my depression and paid for my food*
I LOVE HOW TYLER SAYS I PROMISE YOU AND THE DRUMS AND THE PIANO STAYS I JUST ALWAYS START CRYING AND GET CHILLS IN THAT PART LIKE IM CRYING RN I CANT LIKE AHHHHHH
The bit in oh miss believer when he's like "I-II love you" right after the strings start idk it's hard to just explain but you'll hear if you listen I just love that part
Self titles was and still is the best album!!!! Mainly because I'm going through a really tough time and self titled always gives me a good feeling
the little " I promise you" always gets me, they're such perfect last words for the album. ( and no.19 is like car key noises and it's epic, fits so well for not an instrument noise)
Something I loved about this video:

Nice video :D
The delay of ‘my parachute’s what got me..’ in air catcher is such a good moment too but that’s only on the alternate version.
In the Taxi Cab, I love
,,Sometimes we will die and sometimes, we will fly awaaaaaay,,
idk why but this album feels like home to me, its something that I'll sit and listen to in my room late at night in the dark and it will give me the same feeling as if I was looking through childhood photographs. I am and always have been terrified of growing up and for some reason this album just helps me let that go, idk. its like a big hug when your crying from your mum, or a stuffed animal you kept way too long, its when I used to have a nightmare and squeeze in the middle of my parents bed to protect me from the bad things. its comfort in the dark. number 1 where tyler yells down at the end brings me to tears every time. there’s so much emotion in it i just can’t handle it 😢
The lada lada at the end is so comforting and I love air catcher's back vocals so much
Once again, I agree with everything. Thanks for making this, Self-titled is definitely my favourite twenty one pilots album.
2:50 ikr the harmonization is so beautiful
1:00 me in the middle of the night
You can't forget the bit in air catcher when Tyler sings "I don't believe in talking just to breath"
3:22 It sounds a lot like a car alarm or that sort of thing, its such a clever way to incorporate outside things that add to the lyrics into the song
THIS ALBUM HAS SO MANY PERFECT LITTKE THINGS THAT GIVE ME CHILLS EVERYTIME
The chirping sound in A Car, A Torch, A Death combined with how echoey and distant Tyler's vocals are, as well as the words to the song, it just makes it feel super lonely. Like the chirps are a cry for company, and the only company, only other person for miles: Tyler just grows further. And you're left out in the shivering cold snow.
2:15 "this noise" uh I think you mean a tambourine lol
I personally think this album was the best... they all make me feel something. It's peacefully depressing in a way. Wish I knew who they were younger, hope they play more of this era.
i love the little voice crack the first time tyler sings “trapdoor” in trapdoor in the first chorus
Tyler’s whan he screams “yeah” in trap door!!! Ugh my favorite thing ever
I had seen this video in my suggestions several times but never watched it until now - I was missing out. I think the exact same way on all of this, I love the raw emotion in this album and all the little ways it's expressed. Thanks for making this video, fren c:
they say its about the little things in life, the little things are the most important
The “I promise you” in Isle Of Flightless Birds gets me every time
#16 is what made me really fall in love with TOP, those backing vocals are so beautiful
one of my faves is during A Car, A Torch, A Death
"It was a little dark so held a MAKESHIFT TORCH"
IDK why but the way he says makeshift is very satisfying
Little things I love in self-titled: the entirety of the intro Implicit Demand For Proof, and how Tyler sings the verses, like, "I...knoOOOWW you're not a liar and I...knoOOOW that you could set fire this day," and how soft the chorus is compared to the verses but then it completely builds up and dies at the end.
Wow. I just realized Implicit Demand For Proof is an absolute masterpiece.
the freaking one about the backing vocals for air catcher, and the sigh in trapdoor, i love them so much too. it's my favorite album.
In isle of flightless birds, that last "i promise you" has always, ever since I first heard it made me so emotional.
The end of Isle of Flightless Birds is the most touching end to an album, with “I promise you” and that piano.
can't tell you how much I live these videos, I really love that other people appreciate the little things in this music as much as I do
Noticing all the little things in the background feels like listening to the album again for the first time. That was really refreshing, thank you. :)
I was just about to comment about the "I promise you" in Isle Of Flightless Birds then I was so happy I watched til the end, I love that one
I feel like when I first listened to self titled, I slept on Taxi Cab... now it's one of my all-time favourites. There's a certain ethereal intensity that takes my breath away every time, I love it.
I love it how this album is on Spotify
Also the sort of eerie background sounds in Fall Away. I love the sounds
I love so much about this album. I can't even list them out. Let's just say that I love everything about twenty One Pilots. (Which is true)
OH BUT THE SNARE IN ISLE OF THE FLIGHTLESS BIRDS GIVES ME LIFE.
My favorite part of self titled :
A car a torch a death, I just love it so much
i love the part at the beginning of pantaloon when you hear tyler countdown before he starts.
Johnny Boy is my favorite on the album almost entirely because of that part with just Tyler and the piano and you get to feel the sort of desperation in his voice, and I think it helps to convey the true meaning of the song better. But just me.
I like the fact that on Trapdoor the last "Everyone gather around for a show" Tyler has no backing vocals and his voice kinda cracks on "show"
