Each rocket variant gets a number, which is somewhat sequential (and variants with boosters started at 23, variants with no boosters at 1)
V-1-B meant Saturn V-1 with a wider 12.2m fairing (-B).
The /2 after MLV Saturn V-23-L/2 means it only uses 2 of 4 boosters.

@@Katniss218 really thank you man. I really appreciate that. keep doing this fantastic content. you put a lot of work into it. super cool. Really hope the algoritme picks it up!
@@Delusion_9691 Thank you!
That lander and its orbiter module made a great team. Now they get to orbit Uranus together for eternity
Amazing work! I enjoyed every bit of it. One tip though, don't have every clip match up with the music, it makes it a bit jarring and is a little bit hard to follow. Otherwise, 10/10, would watch again!
Are you refering to specific points in the video or just in general?
Just in general. Great video, though! :)
This gave me goosebumps. Good job on making us enjoy our time ❤️🌷
You're welcome ;)
13:17 I guess this is a homage to under development's Mars Expedition video? For both this video and that, I loved the montage of refueling launches set in time to the music.
ruclips.net/video/_jZZQZmJ9Og/видео.html (9:37)
Yes, I noticed that too
It takes quite some artistic talent to make the boring refuelling process worth admiring.
Yep, I even commented under his video about that.
One difference is, I have cuts on every single beat, he has longer pauses and "bigger" gaps.
@@Katniss218 I think this sequence is the best part.
You reached 1k subs! I'm probably a bit late to the party but still well done my man!
Never too late man, thank you!
Great video, I can tell a lot of thought went into the mission. How long did it take, both in game and real life time?
Thanks!
It took 40 years in-game time (most of it spent on the trajectory to Uranus - due to the fact Uranus needs to be in a very specific place in its orbit in order to capture into the plane of its moons).
In terms of IRL time, it took 4 months to make all the parts, the cape, and record it all.
I hope kerbals live longer than humans! Jokes aside, 4 months of real time seems pretty quick for such a project. Nice job 👍
Holy shit this is the longest convo I’ve ever seen about something so dumb. 10/10
It doesnt look like KSP anymore but that's pretty cool.
I like how you kinda added some slight kerbal into the mix
Wdym?
What year did the crew return in this alternate history? And I also believe that in this alternate universe nothing else was altered with technology etc, so no retro-futurism or retro futuristic technology, so everything stays the same 100%! Also a reality where Corona never happened
You're thinking way too much about it.
It's just about spaceflight, nothing here has to do with corona.
Crew returned in the 2020s, don't remember exactly which year.
Sorry I'm 14 and have autism
@@Aj61406 Even if it's overthinking, it's good thinking lol
Superb graphics and amazing ambitious space mission! A job well done
Thanks! :D
By the way what are the specs of yr computer?
@@AluminumOxide i7-6700 and GTX-960, 16GB of ram. Nothing special by today's standards.
Thanks
Wow super impressive! And very beautiful. The amount of rockets necessary does almost make me happen that it didn't happen like this in real life though.
Will the next mission use more efficient and/or reusable technology? How long did this mission take in game years?
Thanks!
That's only 24 rockets tho. The entire mission took 40 years from start to finish.
I don't plan really anything solid yet. Tbh, I don't even know where I'm gonna go next.
Katniss
You should make a video explaining the history of your space program
@@rockomax2732 Maybe when there's more lore to it I could do some quick dream montage type thing.

@@Katniss218 Hey how about manned mission to Venus? Currently there is only two such videos on the whole youtube, and I'd be glad to see third one. I know it is hard (probably the hardest thing in the whole game) but it seems you can handle it.
Seeing all those ‘what-if’ derivatives of the Saturn makes me giddy.
Can’t commnet right now, brain was deep fried too much.
Maybe now? :P
This dude is on the level of not needing maneuver node to get to low Kerbin orbit
Coming from me that’s a compliment
Lol
If JFK was alive (JFK alive in this alternate history event stuff) I'm pretty sure he would live to now and maybe until 105 years of age, maybe because he had a diet after his near assignation. That would be cool if he was with us today! Damn it would!
If he had lived History would have been completely different
i am surprised you don't have more subs i was certain you were a channel with at least 50k subs cause of the kind of quality you have.
Hah, I wish... Maybe some day
@@Katniss218 This is by far the highest quality edits i have seen on KSP. Like people go crazy with the Matt Lowe movies but I couldn't get into it, I found this to be much more entertaining.
@@Dimitri88888888 Winged_7 and Alexchivilev have some pretty nice videos too.
@@Katniss218 Cool, i'll look them up as well. Thanks for the suggestion.
How to use KK
You can press Ctrl+K in the flight scene and a menu will pop up.
I like to imagine a Saturn V obsessed madman in a board meeting trying to justify ordering enough F-1s to do Apollo-Skylab multiple times over, all for one trip. Budget must've been insane.
Also Jesus that pinned comment gave me shivers. To think I share an atmosphere with a person like that.
Hahahahaa, nice! Yeah, that meeting must've been fun
cool
Amazing mission all around. My one wish is that we got a map view for the Uranus orbital insertion and the transfers to get a sense of where everything is.
There was one in the imgur album in the description IIRC

@@Katniss218 thanks!!!
i like the lander you used! it looks like the OG apollo one
That was my inspiration for it
Now it's pluto or nothing right?
Actually, I think about going to Sedna now.
@KaigamerTV It's not, but adding custom planets is pretty easy.
