    Had an old Crokinole board at my parents place. Definitely put some time into it with the siblings growing up!

    I've heard for a while now from various content creators in the hobby that Crokinole is good, fun, fantastic etc. but I never paid it any attention because it wasn't a board game. I only clicked on this video shamefully thinking there could be a giveaway for one of these boards; I'd play if I won a board and didn't have to pay for it you know. This was very enjoyable all around. Jeremy was a very pleasant person. I admire him giving strategy and insight, yet not backing down at the same time. The casual nature of the video was pleasing. For my first experience watching a game, there is enough strategy and some finely tuned skill that now has peeked my interest. I'm not sure if it is frowned upon to have a board decked out with a big stamp like a Pokeball (I joked about that in the top 100 video when Prof. Meg said put bug stickers on it then maybe she would play) but having a Pokeball, or the buttons have a Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs logo, maybe an Imperial Stormtrooper logo and some Empire/Rebel stamps on the buttons - I could make this a thing I'd jump all in for. I too have an additive personality.... This is going to be trouble.

      There is nothing wrong with a little crokinole addiction LOL. We can make custom boards, they aren't frowned upon and they aren't inexpensive either. The only thing that would be frowned upon is if the image made it so you couldn't see the lines well which would make it a bit dysfunctional for play.

    35:40 The conversation around playing something against someone who isn't very skilled in the thing and not being able to predict accurately their moves compared to playing someone who is skilled and likely to do x is very real. I've played in many Catan tournaments and seen in other areas this very thing.

      we have loads of videos on our YT channel and if you want to see it played at the highest level check out our friends over at Crokinole Centre. They put up videos of finals and semi finals at NCA tourrnaments like the World Crokinole Championships.

    Planning on attending GenCon this year - putting $$ aside to hopefully grab one while I'm down there if Tracy plans on being there!

    Question for Mr. Tracey. Are the Tracey boards from other sites the same as the boards from your own site? I noticed that Tracey boards from other sellers lack the Tracey Boards logo so I wonder what the differences are?

      Hmm I'm not sure myself

      We have a few wholesale customers who we buy from us and resell them. If it has the Tracey Boards logo then we made it. At least I have never heard of anyone making false claims. I always like it when folks order directly from us, we get to connect and interact with them etc and at the same time we are A OK with folks buying from our resellers.

      @@TraceyBoards Oh no, not me. I'm horrible at the game!! I've "played" once at Dice Tower East on the boards Tom had set up. All I did was hit posts. 🤣

    What was the wax stuff in the bottle?

    • @JonTripp115
      @JonTripp115 Год назад

      Gliss powder

    • @TraceyBoards
      @TraceyBoards Год назад

      it is shuffleboard wax. I hear the term gliss and I think it means different things to different people. some folks call what we use gliss and some folks call what they use in Hungary (potato starch) gliss. So I am not trying to correct Jon Tripp on his comment, this could be exactly what he means, not sure.

      @@Gianni11111 Every Tracey Crokinole Board is made exactly the same and will play exactly the same. All you need to decide is which one you most like the look of. The grey rock is made with the same materials, it just has a stain applied to the wood that gives it that different look. It is one of our best sellers for sure. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions :-)
