I very much appreicate everyone's perspectives here. Thanks y'all for the support, your opinions, and for everything in between. ❤ To clarify: I don't think this game is bad. Perhaps this is a natrual reaction to playing any game for months on end. I just personally haven't truly enjoyed this game for a few months now and have been mulling over this decision for a while, but I can't keep fooling myself with the illusion that this game is going to instantly become the game I want it to be, so I have to move on and start doing stuff that I love. For those of you that don't plan on sticking around: THANK YOU for tuning in and I'm sorry if you disagree with this video and feel that I'm leaving you in the dust, but I need to do what is right for me. But if you do plan on continuing to give me support: I'm more excited about my new content than I've ever been about content. This is just the beginning and we're going to do some awesome stuff together!
At least you have good taste in games so I subbed anyway lol I've been very critical about hd2 as well and this update was not it. I still love the game but this trend of waiting 4 months for it to get better is wild
@@KalenTomlinson I mean I think the game HAS gotten better since launch. But not in very meaningful ways and it's nowhere near as good as it could be. HD2 could seriously be one of the best games ever. Sad that I do not believe it'll get anywhere near there.
You should try deep rock galactic it’s perfect for someone who plays games like this they make it playable and the best part you can join enytime and not miss enything battle pass you can go to events just find it popped on a mission give a try its worth the money👍
We're really overdue for the Illuminate. But yeah it is pretty shocking when put into perspective how little gameplay has been added to the core loop of Helldivers 2. Still enjoy the game in bursts but whenever I try to really commit to it I never can, the lack of end game really hurts the experience. Hoping Arrowhead can right their wrongs because I'd hate to see an Indie success story sputter out but it wouldn't be the first time unfortunately.
@@illuminagal They started indie, they're an indie success story, because they now have Sony's backing doesn't change that core fact. The scale up from Helldivers 1 to 2 was a scale up from indie studio to titan-backed studio.
Remember when we bought a game bc it was fun? Now people buy for content drops. "Your game isn't fun" is now "Your game has no DLC so I can't play it anymore :3" lmao Who cares, I thought Helldivers 2 looked fun to play & it is. All that matters tbh
I'm a AH support but I only play the game every now and then going 370 some hours the loop is crazy. Another thing I realized is that I struggle to pick a loadout I have everything unlock but most it's like I used this gun already
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if, for many people, this game becomes similar to Minecraft in that you will get a 2-week phase of addiction and non-stop gameplay. You cant explain it, but you'll fall into and out of love with helldivers for a week or two, and then move on.
hell, after all these leaks of OMG GUYS NEW UPDATE SO SOON! and so many missed chances from AH i literally have been doing this. I was about to start a new 2 week phase with DSS but it was underwhelming as hell so ill push it off.
As long as they continue to support this game with updates… we are still waiting on the illuminate. I want to be able to goto Cyberstand and see a city-like Biome that could be a hint of what fighting on Earth could be like.
This is a very good and true point. I should have said that in the video, because perhaps Arrowhead doesn't expect this, or want this, to be everybody's "main game" to grind for 30 hours a week. Perhaps it's the type of game you return to every few months, enjoy it for a week, and move on until next time. 🤷♂️
Helldivers 2 can be pretty accurately described by a comment I saw on Reddit, basically stating that "Arrowhead making Helldivers 2 as good as it was on launch must have been a fluke". The difference in quality between the base game and the updates is staggering.
@@itseasymode maybe you overplayed it but unlike gastroyer1 you couldnt stop to take the week break because of youtube so it just got worse and worse untill it was runined forever for you (game therory refrence here)
@@itseasymode Yeah, when it comes to breaks for me, I'd rather take 1-2 months off. I basically got off HD2 around late spring and came back mid fall. For me, it's not really the state of the game (I used to play TF2, so I guess I'm a bit more tolerant lol), it was more so the combination of Arrowhead's lack of a proper feedback framework and (as a result) the community's volatile attitude towards the updates, sometimes even towards things that weren't even as bad as made out to be. I usually just play to have fun. I couldn't care less what difficulty I played on, or whether I won the match, but I simply wasn't a fan about the lack of communication in general.
@@itseasymode bro, that dont make sense. take a break and return when you're at work or doing something and this game pops into your head and you feel like playing. never force yourself to play, youll have a terrible time.
I don't think Helldivers 2 is a game that needs to always be played. It's a fun pick-up game whenever someone is looking for chaotic fun. There's really no concept of "quitting" like you would an MMORPG. If you truly "quit the game" then I would expect there to never be a Helldivers content video from you ever again, but I feel like you will make one in the future, when you get the itch again. This is totally fine, to take a break from something that once sparked passion and creativity. I definitely think you should follow your passions and explore other games; I've picked up some myself, but Helldivers never die. I think your subscribers are here for you and will continue enjoying your content regardless of what game you play o7
tell that to the devs and their galactic war thats impossible to progress enough to step away from the game. the devs have created Schrodinger's war, if no body plays they the devs have to slow the progress of the enemy, if too many people succeed in pushing enemies back then the devs nerf the playerbase. the the single dumbest war in the history of video game design....its pointless there is no risk to not playing because the devs outright stated they wont allow the war to end
@@MrSolidsnake293 Exactly, there's no risk to not playing. People are free to come and go as they please. You do not have to play the game constantly. Just add it to your gaming lineup and call it a day lol. Or don't, whichever floats your boat.
@@Criticalhitventures Couldn't say it better myself. The 'narrative' is just there for fun, ergo the Galactic War isn't something we should take too seriously. We are so used to min maxing everything that we think we need to win every Major Order and see it reflected on the Galactic War for it to mean something. If you just look at it as is, it's just a glorified stage selection. Play however you want, take a break as long as you want and be free.
The fact he made this video, means he is just grifting for views. This video has no reason to exist. If he wants to quit. Just go. Grifter deserves zero sympathy.
A LIVE SERVICE GAME is a game that's meant to be always played, it is literally designed that way to become a profitable business, games like KENSHI or BALDURS GATE 3 or RESIDENT EVIL is what you're looking for when you just want to pick something up and be done with it after some time, your argument is completly invalid.
Honestly Easy, just do what you think is best for you. I, and many other fans won’t stop supporting you doing what you love. Thanks for the amazing HD2 content you did put out.
Sorry guy, we made the DSS available and it sucks, we're working on making it not suck, so while whe make it better, here's 4 major orders that you have to win before any potential fix will be rolled out
everyone is waiting for the illuminate. this is another huge thing arrowhead has taken way too long on. Most people have been waiting and waiting for the illuminate but the longer it takes to put them in, the more players they lose.
I'd focus on variety, like, choosing a way on a skill tree (for example, cuz I suck at inventing things) where you can upgrade and unlock unique upgrades depending on where you specialize: - Ballistics specialist (Includes the extra padding, explosion resistant, less recoil, more and stronger grenades, heavy machine guns and anti-tank upgrades.) - Tech lunatic (Includes laser, plasma, sentry, tesla, drone, shield generator, servo-assisted, stunning stratagems and electric damage resistant upgrades.) - Stealthy shit (Includes the stealth armor, radar, map traverse speed, silenced guns, meelee weapons, some kind of trap stratagem, like spikes for slowing enemies, smoke, etc. upgrades.) - Chemical mad scientist (Includes pyromancer and gas guns, grenades and armors, some kind of chemical explosive, like gas and flames combined, stims, etc. upgrades.) - (My personal favourite) The pilot (Simply includes viable mechs, the one badass heavy machine gun operated turret, eagle, some kind of sturdy compact exosuit, wich makes your physical capabilities incredibly fun, such as the ability to climb walls, and jetpack upgrades.)
I'd love to actually get the vehicles, clan system or weapon modding that were in the game files almost since release... hell even the illuminates feel like they are taking way too long and can only be as disappointing as the DSS
the way he talks sounds like this game is AAA and has 200+ devs. he says this game doesn't have enough going on but all he can say to "improve the game" is add more and more faster or have end game progress of what kind idk he never says any system or never said any games that has one he likes. it should be ok to quit a game not get hate and leave but making your whole yt on one game and saying by in less then a year of course some fans would hate him for it and this 14 min video saying a lot of nothing could have been short and sweet but got to get past 10 min for the money
@kylepassey7813 It's not that. This guy just rants about the game not pushing content out like a triple A title. The video is just run of the mill click bait. Lots of casual gamers like myself enjoy the game because we don't take it as a "must play every minute of the day" type of thing. Gotta get that YT money right? No wonder channels like these burn the game.
@@shadowdragon9761 They have 140 Employees and it's at AAA pricing, being bank rolled by Sony, stop defending incompetent devs and glazing them. Y'know, i was playign HD1 cuz im too broken to get HD2 and comparing what i know form both, HD1 allowed for much more creativity I got with a friend and we literally recreated meet the medic with a mech and s healing beam, which is not possible on HD2 due to lack of a proepr mech, pack of RS missions, and lack of heal to vehicles. Everything that worked on the previous game seems to be a downgrade in the next one imo (heal beam to Stim pistol, pistol causing friendly fire due to lack of readability)
This really resonated with me, Easy. I'm really burnt out and bored and my creativity has been trash recently with my content. I wanna move forward into new stuff, I need to get the passion back! You're incredibly talented, your edits are fantastic and your scripting and delivery is top notch. Whatever you cover, I'm sure it'll be just as watchable, if not even more so, than your HD2 content. Looking foward to it!
Thank you so much Phase. I tried to give it a few weeks, even months, or time to think about this and I just can't bring myself to want to play again. Shoot me a DM on Discord and we'll make the plunge into new content together ❤
aint we in the same boat :D:D:D trust guys I been through this... just need a good plan and move to another game... this game is just not for old school gamers, who enjoy depth and builds and interesting progression... well cause... there is none... so pick a game and lets move boyzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, I personally still am not gonna QUIT this totally but I 100% need a new game this is bad atm
I just think the devs don't have enough staff to work effectively or efficiently. Their focus is always divided between new content, balancing/patches or performance issues. If they had a bigger team the problems could be split and updates would release quicker.
@@Austriaorsmthidk17825 True, although they seem to understand how it works and it's modified specifically for Helldivers 2, so it isn't an entirely barebones model of an unsupported engine. They just need more playtests, for every thing they fix another thing gets broken
My headcannon is that some other team built the game and then handed it off to someone else with some notes. My mind is constantly blown by the number of rakes they step on.
Things that could keep players playing: • Grind for new weapon/ship customization parts • Completing challenges to get cosmetics • Grind for new stratagems (not behind a paywall, but behind a challenge wall) • Giving small groups of players more impact on planets liberation. Right now only one big playermass can liberate planets, other small groups of people are doing mathematically nothing • New fun mechanics. Not another boring type of mines stratagem, but something like AC-130 stratagem with player control over guns Idk, some of these points are so well established and well proven that many games implement them with great success. But Arrowhead wants to be different for no good reason.
SC are so easy to get I cannot understand how people seriously call a warbond stratagem a paywall. It's not a wall. It takes zero effort to get around it. Pay curb would be more apt.
As someone who's played helldivers 2 for almost 900 hours (877 before I quit) and been playing helldivers 1 since 2017, I completely agree with the statements. Although, I feel like AH spends too much time trying to balance weapons, Helldivers 1 was not balanced in the slightest with the rumbler or tox-13 avenger and that's what made it extremely fun. If arrowhead just stopped chasing balances and allocated it to content I believe this game could be in a better spot. And I think them wanting to be the next fromsoft or blizzard isn't what they should be aiming for, they should aim to be the next ID software because Helldivers 2 could learn alot in enemy design and systems from games like Doom Eternal
@@christianmoore7932 Meta is going to exist whether you like it or not. Helldivers 2 should look to bring up everything rather than making everything worse. Before the 60 day patch hardly anything felt good to use besides the autocannon and a few others, the support weapons got much needed buffs and now AT's are powerful like they should be and primaries that needed a bit of help were nudged in the right direction It's not about whether or not the meta exists, it's about giving you alternatives that you can choose over the meta, and not feel like you're handicapping yourself
Finally a video about Helldivers thats not just glazing about what "could" happen next, or over praising tiny changes that dont even matter for the game. Space Marine 2 is waiting, if youre so inclined.
Honestly it was extremely fun for a time, but it was handled so poorly, I feel you honestly. It sucks but it's an amazing game ruined by poor decision after decision. I've never seen such a repeat of the same mistake over and over again. It's just sad
I knew immediately the game wasn't going to get far in post launch support if they didn't push for different kinds of gamemodes. Different missions of "go to this location to punch in codes or grab an item" isn't variety. Base defender mode where you call in stratagems that are defensive upgrades to your base each round (not the shallow survival mission they gave us), interior buildings or giant caves to fight bugs or robots in, mass multiplayer frontline conquest mode between players and robots. Just a few ideas they could have invested in, but doesn't seem like they have the workforce to support it much with its already simple mission structures. Doesn't help that they put so much work into something as nonsensical as balancing weapons in a PvE game.... seriously mismanaging priorities. Running around in different map skins doing the same kinds of missions over and over gets old quick.
As someone who quit, I quit because of the balance changes, they eroded my trust, and then I got bored because all the weapons were becoming useless, so I stopped playing.
Got 546 hours in this game at this point. Brother, the fatigue is REAL and anyone who says it isn’t is lying to themself. The lack of endgame progression is definitely a huge problem not enough people mention. The main thing they need to focus on is shaking up the missions or gameplay in creative meaningful ways for me to truly love it again. Sad to say fr I had a lot of fun times since launch Edit: if yall still enjoy the game im not knocking you for it, to each their own. Just sharing my experience 🫡
Yup. And I've had this fatigue for months now. Sucks because since day 1 I had always hoped that this game would truly be the live-service of the future with the galactic war and stuff. Maybe it'll get there one day, but for now, I think a ton of people are being blinded by bias. Even the biggest of fans should be able to acknowledge that it is easy to get fatigued by this game.
@bradharrison4391 I think the game does need more content but also expecting any game to give you endless content after that many hours is also a bad idea. No game on the planet will not run out of content for you with enough hours played. You need to play other stuff once you get tired of a game.
Helldivers came out ~10 months ago. We haven't gotten any revolutionary content for the game. The closest we got was maybe mech suits, where there was an actual vehicle that changed how you approached combat. Everything else has been minimal for the gameplay loop and more about adding sprinkled on the tiny cupcake of content. Warbonds are just cosmetic packs with 1-3 guns that still just use existing assets, and a booster that's a small backend numbers tweak (more ammo, stronger limbs, etc). If we don't count the warbonds, the content drip feed has been ridiculously slow; basically non-existent. Other games had entire expansions, not just AAA titles either, but other indie games have had at least one major expansion.
It's interesting to hear from you guys that have been here since the beginning. I'm fairly new so for me, there seems like a lot of stuff to grind for. But that's just it, it feels too grindy. I'm level 43 or so, and I can't keep doing the same missions, all while no one communicates and I need those stupid pink samples which you're not guaranteed to get. I even joined a mil-sim group, which it totally rad. The procedural generated boards also get stale fast.
@@J.B.1982That's the weird thing about this game. It's actually decently grindy when it comes to unlocking everything, but after that initial 20-40 hours of unlocking all content, there's nothing else to do.
@@itseasymode How did you unlock all content that quickly? I can’t comprehend it. I’m at 100 hours and have plenty more to go. I’m not running too often about difficulty 6 though. I mostly play pub games.
I got this game about 3 months ago, and i already feel the same way. After unlocking EVERYTHING from all warbonds a few days ago, there isnt anything that motivates me anymore to play it. I wasnt here from the beginning, but ive seen ZERO new enemies or mission objectives since ive started. It disappoints me so much because i believe this game could do amazing things rather than re-use old content
This game will never reach the peaks it had, it is known for an unhappy player base, the Sony stuff, and only being fun with friends. The general audience will never embrace it again. The game had no idea what it wanted to be and has no reason to play beyond 20-30 hours. 200m spent on Concord and now they are letting this game sink itself. Good job Sony
Still have to remember that AH is not a big game company like Activition that can not pump out content every day and week. Still with the smaller team I also feel like they would be able to fix many of the long lasting bugs and add at least some more content. I will also say that some of there decisions are also just weird.
I love helldivers, and I think the dss is good, except for the planetary bombardment, and part of the problem is arrowhead is also only has around a 100 developers for bugs, content updates, galactic war updates, and the illuminate, but it’s still lacking content. I still play the game As I love the gameplay and spilling oil, but they need to stop the war-bonds, push the illuminate out fast, add more missions, and make the dss better.
Facepunch Studios (Rust devs) has 32 employees and is kicking them up and down the block with monthly content patches for the past eleven years. I don't think it's the number of people they have that's the problem. Their internal organization is so bad you can see it from outside the organization when one team is doing things another team isn't even aware of, and things are getting patched in without their higherups even knowing what the hell is going on according to their own statements about it. They spend as much time fixing something as they do making it, and obviously have 0 playtesting at all going on. They have to circle back and devote too much resources to material they're already releasing constantly and it's slowing down their ability to deliver on anything.
I have about 430 hours in game and a few days ago I decided to quit the game too. After grinding for 2 months of monotonous MOs, even if the DSS bonuses worked properly, it was too little. The MOs are also quite repetitive in general. They really work too slowly to keep the game interesting. I'm thinking Arrohead bit more than they can chew. They had the time and they should have expanded their development teams by now. Especially after the fortune they made just after launch.
Wtf is your point? You played a game for 430 hours and you complain that theres nothing to do anymore? You clearly had fun. You call... idk any random steam game you got trash cause you got 4 hours in it? No. That you have that many hours in it means helldivers is amazing and you just stop playing it now. Same way you watch a movie and are good now. Like wtf is your point ?
@@adwans1491 Yeah, really weird to me how people are with this game. It was £35, and has provided most people several hundred hours of fun. Meanwhile most AAA games are £70 and you get like 80 hours then you're bored. Yes, the game has been slow in receiving content, and my god AH are awful at testing things, if they even do. But at the end of the day, this game was cheap, and gives several hundred hours of extremely fun gameplay, from a company with only 100 employees. Why are people acting like they weren't satisfied with their money?
Aw man, sorry brother. I hope you'll give a chance to my new content. ❤ In the mean time, I can heavily recommend: - Eravin - CommisarKai - CrazyMrPipz - PhaseShifter - ThiccFilA All are great creators and offer their own unique POVs on the game.
I swear they have no actual plans for the future. In fact they didn’t expert for this game to fly, that would make sense why everything is rushed or not tested bc it wasn’t tested it’s all New ideas , the excuses are there just to make enough time to fix their mess and it honestly sounds like every other Game out there - just Trying to make more money
-Note- if they truly had this all thought out than release the illuminate but they can’t, cuz they never thought that far . Everything is on bases moment
I mean, you only have to look at the metrics for HD1 to see what they expected. If all they wanted was money they would have continued their rate of content at 1 warbond every month and we'd still have a buggy mess. There's still bugs, sure, but if they hadn't stopped focusing on content and swapped to bug fixes the game wouldn't even be playable. Your assessment is correct, they DIDNT expect this game to fly, thats why we had queues for 400,000 people when it launched. Then those 400k people got mad at the "lack of content" when the servers were living on duct tape and bubblegum, and now they're mad that the game takes time to fix after they yelled at AH about fixing their game. Dunno what you want, you can't have both, especially with a team the size of AH's.
@@zeke3672 We want competent devs who actually know what they are doing and not pissing around with their heads up their ass trying to "balance" weapons in a PVE only game. They have 140 people and being bank rolled by Sony, they have little to no excuse for wasting months of dev time on a menu, that gives a bad resource sink and a glorified weather effect that kills you, not to mention how bad the last two war bonds were. They really need to actually start doing shit and stop wasting dev time on half cooked slop.
@@DXGHunter Gonna guess you're just going through my comments and posting nonsense since this is the second one you've replied to. Again, I will direct you to my direct response to the video. They're doing what they can with the engine they're using. We can debate about whether of not it should be been built in stingray but it doesn't matter now, because it was. And before you say some stupid shit like "just port to a newer engine", it's not that simple. Do you even understand the backend logistics on implementing some of this stuff? It's a fucking nightmare. I'm not a game dev, but I do have a bachelor's in computer engineering. It's not as simple as you think it is. Helldivers 2 wasn't made for your zoomer dopamine fix, it was made for the people that played HD1, which I'm guessing you only picked up after HD2 launched, or are just spouting nonsense you saw after watching some videos. HD1 is 9 years old, of course it has more content and fleshed out systems. Bad comparison.
I get it, I really do, I just still have things to grind for (the super overpriced lvl 5 ship upgrades/lvl 150) & I love this game so much, it’s such a fun time with friends
I thought that the DSS would be like the tower from destiny, a place where you can see fellow helldivers and socialise out of battle. I would’ve loved it but as always arrowhead has disappointed us.
I left this game after the 100th nerf, while the community begged for buffs, because the devs failed to realize that people "overuse" certain weapons, due to the lack of other viable means. Not to mention that at least for me, the game becomes a *loadout check* rather than a skill check on higher difficulties, limiting options even further. I have no idea why they focus so much on balancing in a PvE game while game breaking bugs happen left and right. So now you are telling me there is this DSS thing that acts like a planetary hazard and can kill you without any warning? That's so awesome! yeah fuck this game
Just... Keep the Discord up For me, it's where i found half of the friends i play with, and I don't want to see it fade away But just like you said, good for you. Do what you love, because why do something you don't? That's what making content is about after all Good luck, Easy
id recommend sending them a friend request and making your own private one for friends if you rely on others for servers youll loose all your friends if it randomly gets deleted without notice
Oh yes. The discord will stay up. I don't plan on changing anything and if I have to, I'll give it to someone that's passionate about the game. But I do plan on still supporting that community.
I still play helldivers but this game will never reach its potential with the amount of players that have low standards and lack the capability to give arrowhead constructive criticism
Yup 100% agree. This community is way too accepting of trash content and it is pretty sad to see people lower their standards just to defend Arrowhead. People are just simply not ready to listen to constructive criticism.
Always do the things you want to do. If you don't want to make content about helldivers then do it. You don't need an explanation. But hating on the devs is kinda old to do now. I just hope you will not quite the game entirely. It's still a good game. Just don't delete it, super earth still needs you soldier 👍
This was my first live service game I actually played for more than a week (500 hours) now I’m feeling like I don’t know what game to go to next any suggestions
It was fun easy U are one of my favorites youtubers and i had a lot of fun playing with you and being in your discord server Thank you for giving us well over 8 months of fun and informative content easy and i will continue watching ur vids even if u stop posting about the game ❤
I'm sadly starting to believe everything you are saying. One of the few reasons I still play is the mods. The modding community is insane and keeps making great stuff daily. I just wish Arrowhead would actually improve.
Needs more flashy colorful weapon skins and maybe a Nikki Minaj or Doja Cat armor. Maybe have a function that plays skibidi toilet on half of the screen while you play.
@TheHuffur I'm poking fun at his self prescribed attention deficiency using the CoD clip. If he's not feeling the butterflies and fireworks, that's fine, but as someone who's been gaming since well before the fortnite money chasing era, devs needing to add something new, like Markiplier jingling keys, to keep people's attention is amusing. Beyond that, I've no ill will towards him. Life is finite, and it's his to spend as he pleases.
I think the points you came up with are fair. I myself have been feeling same way as I have around almost 300 hours in game and have unlocked everything in game. There is nothing to do anymore for now, only thing that might bring players like us back if something like the illuminate come out which idk when they are going to bring that out. Good luck with the new content you want to bring out!
It hurts me to say it but your right mostly. Like you said, the fact that the orbital bombardement would be random with absolutly nothing to tell where it lands make absolutly no sense. My take on this is that they want to make something funny, like raining democracy or something but it ends up being not cool. And the fucking cooldown. Even if you like to be detonated by the DSS the bombardment are on cooldown for 5 days . All that is dunb as fuck. But im still gonna play😂
Bro this is normal After 450 hours almost every game starts getting boring. Nobody is blaming you. Play the games you want to play. But i will still watch your content :D
There are very select few timeless games that usually have players putting in upwards of 1-4K hours into them. Off the top of my head, CSGO, LOL, Dota 2, Rust, TF2, and a few others that have stood the test of time. 400 hours is great for $30 or $40 especially when you know there will be huge updates in the future as it is a live service game. And by that time, the burnout may have diminished on top of the gameplay updates making things feel new.
I've literally never seen a game where 97% of the xp points you earn are worthless (I did the math of the xp past level 25). It's insane. I grinded to level 150 because I'm a completionist and now there's just absolutely nothing to do. AH isn't getting better. Everyone thought that AH had finally gotten their shit together because of the buffs and fixes in the 60 day plan. Were the buffs and fixes good? Of course. But ammo was still stingy AF and many weapons just straight up necessitate supply pack to be viable. I was still skeptical. This DSS drop has just verified my skepticism. We are trapped in a sisyphean, vicious cycle of the devs making the dumbest-ass decisions ever. This leads to a review bomb or outrage and the community dragging AH kicking and screaming to the right course of action. Rinse, repeat... AH has not, and will not change. We will continue to be disappointed time and after time and eventually it will be enough. I'm more convinced than ever that AH tripped into making a fun game, and now they don't know how to not step on their dicks as it pertains to keeping their playerbase. Keep losing, AH.
The progression system sucks but I prefer it this way. Shitty grindy level systems suck, the fact I have everything by 50 hours of gameplay is amazing. (Well not the warbonds)
Same boat. Once I hit that 150 level cap I said "Ok now what" and realized I finished the game, there was nothing left to do, I hit every personal milestone I've wanted, etc. This is kind of silly but I like seeing numbers go up for my playtime invested, the level cap really hurt me when I realized theres nothing for me to grind for anymore.
I have to agree. AH seem to have a dnd problem. They have a story they want to tell but players keep breaking there plans. But unlike a good dm who just adapts arrow head is like the bad dm who just nerfs cheats and screams.
@vortex7733 and in here stems the issue with these types of games. What choice DO they have? Could they even make the necessary content in short notice in order to play with the player's choices? They seemingly have a binary choice between lose or win with filler text in between to glue together the results but other than the proper results (that then influence further story missions) none of it matters. This is the problem with games such as these, it's not DnD, it's more than just flavour text and ideas it's a proper thing and that isn't hard to develop consistently at the level people want.
@@qwertyq2884 If progression is the crux of your enjoyment, there's a lot of games you won't enjoy. It's wild to me that there's such a lack of people that just enjoy games for the game any more.
While all points are valid this game literally has to many players and literally can't handle itself with its current dev team. Arrowhead only has 100 people working not even devs just people working there. There literally isn't enough people to fill the shoes of the game at its current popularity. Sony needs to actually give them more than just money support if they want the game to keep up with other live service games.
thats not the point if you want an unreal engine developer you will find it in a blink of an eye but where will you find a professional developer of a dead engine and it died like 7 years ago
Maybe if the devs had not have put themselves in a position where their main focus is balance. Just imagine how much time this team watsets. Btw, they arent a small indie dev team. They are backed by sony with over 100 devs
@@lukeludwig1055 100 devs is AA which still is much smaller than AAA at 500 and above devs and them being backed by sony gives them money but sony does not help make the game in anyway
I really understand your opinion about the state of the game but you have to remember that arrowhead has become a live-service model where they did not have the expectation of handling such a large number of people. That's why I think the difficulty of bringing new mechanics and new content has been made difficult by being a very small team, it's a shame to have low expectations for everything. I hope that in a few years or months the game can grow and maintain a good player base, you can always come back helldiver
I was really glad that you made Helldivers videos, they were super interesting. If you feel like you don’t want to make that type of content anymore, that’s okay. I just hope you do what you find fun. Have a good one, Easy.
I feel you. I brought this up with my buddies just a few days ago. We still mostly use the same kit every time, same strategems, same boosters, you name it. The game has gotten so repetitive that when the introduced the Contstitution, most of us ran it for a few missions just stabbing bugs, because it was something fresh and new to do. The game has gotten very stale at this point, and that's not even mentioning how unfun the bot front is anymore after the limb damage patch makes it so hard to even play.
I get most of what you’re saying but can you really blame the game for being boring when you are the ones choosing to take the same loadouts every time when there are so many options that are actually viable now after the 60 day patch? I could totally understand where you’re coming from if you said this before the patches but since then, I’ve actually had to take time to think of what I want to bring for each mission. Mixing it up each match has made it not get stale yet at least for me. And swapping from bots to bugs and vice versa every so often also helps with that. I have just a little over 200 hours in and don’t plan to stop anytime soon. Sometimes it’s just not a good idea to keep grinding the same game for hours and days on end. I keep hearing people having twice or even three times the hours I have saying they’re burnt out. Like… of course you are, you’ve been playing the same game non stop for months and usually with no loadout variety. That’s a sure fire way to burn yourself out no matter how good the gameplay loop.
We need a late game unlock that makes lvl 100 helldivers incredibly powerful, with like a mission type where raid bosses spawn as like normal heavy units so a dangerous experience is still able to be reached.
10 star general status should be reachable and unlock missions like you’re talking about. That way there’s at least one large goal to work towards with ship upgrades and war bonds along the way.
Appreciate the realistic take on the game. You hit it right on head about my own negatives about the game. About 400 hrs in and my routine has been wait for warbond, max out everything again and just stop playing. If there were weapon/strategm progression and a more open world/story type map like GTA I'd probably play nonstop but meh, it's kinda an arcadey type game for me rn. It's live service (so it's incomplete) so can't really expect much for a game thats still in development. Also most of the "content creators" are a joke and not even real information, but yeah they're just milking the attention players want but ultimately not saying anything useful or exciting
I'd say another issue with this game is the community's toxic positivity. You can't say anything bad or criticise arrowhead in anyway without people white knight defending them or constantly roleplaying... "vErY fUnNy. nOw fAcE tHe wAlL" Like fuck off Just because you and your friends who play two hours a week "had a blast" playing, dosent mean the game is in a good state. Don't let you positive experience playing diminish the majority of actual players valid opinions on the state of the game.
What have you been playing that you find interesting? I honestly agree with most of your reasoning. I don't think "progression" is important, that is just baiting and gating that people got used to. I think gameplay is king, but Helldivers has been pretty damn stale. I want vehicles, actually new mission types, better enemy organization instead of just "bug breach!" "bot drop!"... The jetbrigade was a good step, but need more than that, we need lots and lots. Regardless, I think in the future it might get interesting again for you, if/when we get more content.
I feel the same way. I played my first mission in a week yesterday and i was so bored i quit halfway through. After you unlock everything theres just no reason to continue. I didnt know who you were til now but i wish you luck on your future content creation!
Sadly i have to agree . it could have been great and grand but i won´t ever be like that . Ah have proven that missmanagement is their way and it won´t change .
Never say never. The future of this channel will not be focused on just one game, so there's potential for anything here. Going to be hard to say no once the Illuminate drop.
6:28 agreed with all of that. I’ve found myself taking long breaks from Helldivers 2 purely because I get sick and tired of playing the same missions over and over again. Running across the entire map over and over again… it gets mind numbingly exhausting sometimes
This is where me and my friend group that were playing got to. We waited to see if the 60 day buff patch might make a difference, and there is some good stuff there, but they also made everyone way more squishy, so it felt more like a trade-off than a buff. Prior to that, we were bored with the limited content and progression, but thought we'd see where we landed with the next developments (hoping for the arrival of the Illuminate) and give it a bit of time since AH had to focus on the balancing stuff. But then there was the DSS, and now we have stopped playing HD2. Also your points about AH and losing faith in them; at this point we think AH is either really into trolling its playerbase super hard, trying to suicide Helldivers 2, are entirely incompetent, and/or really have a different sense of humor and fun than us. We are now looking to Feb. 27 when MH Wilds comes out. Helldivers is done for us.
I stopped playing after the buffs cause the game got stupid easy. At one point I was just taking the piss and doing the most dumb risky things just to even have a chance at dying. A lot of people I know were excited about the buffs and I kept telling them buffs would be good for short term fun but make you tired of the game faster since you just blow through everything. Good short term fun, bad long term fun. They're all bored now and feel there's nothing to play for or get good at (since they literally kill titans/walkers and everything so easily).
"The Gameplay is great!" The Gameplay: *Gets ragdolled by harmless hazard into a death pit. Comes back just to get ragdolled to death by a scout walker.*
It hasn’t even been a year, the criticism about the content is hella weird especially since we’ve got more content than a lot of games get in a year. Sure, it does get boring and repetitive, but you don’t have to play every time. I haven’t played H2 all summer, but I’ve returned and I’m having fun again. Although, I’m glad you want to do content that aren’t helldivers related.
"We The Helldivers Relieve You of your Duty Soldier. Such Treasonous talks will not be Tolerated. Return to Civilian Life Immediately. As You Were. Helldivers out".
In the 10 months, data miners discovered a whole third faction on file, several vehicles that have yet to be added, a whole clan system and Arrowhead has given us only a small handful of new enemies. Impalers, Factory Striders, Shriekers, and Gunships. The lack of content for a “Live Service” game has and always will be the biggest problem plaguing this game. We need a new faction, we need more vehicles, we need more reasons to continue playing this game.
This has to he the most fair thing I've ever heard. I feel completely the same and agree with what you're saying. Hope to see some awesome videos on this channel from this point on. Good job moving on, I have no doubt you will do amazing.
Ill get back into it whenever the Illuminate and Vehicles are added. Whether that would be a few months from now or a year or two, I dunno, but Ill get back into it whenever it happens.
enough with companies treating their fanbase like they're incompetent. If they think the same excuse and mediocre content will reatin our engagement. Then let them lose the fanbase they've worked so hard to foster and harder to lose
I agree on most things, but I'll add a bit to it. The gameplay loop is too repetitive. Most missions are the same on a fundamental level. Run along a big map, blow things up, do a bit of killing, collect a few things, defend extraction. It's all some good fun, but there's a limit to it. I'm going to get tired of running around the same circular outpost, blowing up the same gunship fabricator, when I've already done it 300 times. This is why I loved the evacuate high-value assets missions so much. Suddenly we abandoned the run n' gun for a cozy defense mission. That defense mission brought more joy to me than any other content that was added to the game. It changed the pace, and that is what I think is missing from the game. Fundamentally, I think HD2 needs more things to change the pace. A game gets boring when it no longer gives the players anything new, when the gameplay feels static instead of dynamic. The game needs to feel different to keep us going. The real issue is not the few stratagems we've gotten post-launch, it's the lack of content that throws us off as we play. The game has simply failed to add to our experiences. It's like watching the same movie 40 times, but the protagonist is played by a different actor each time. I don't hate the game, but I'm not spending all of my free time on it. I've pretty much played on and off since the first week of playing. Play the game and then log off when it doesn't feel exciting anymore. That's what I recommend to everyone. If you don't want to play, don't. Come back when you're excited to relive it again, just like a movie.
Welcome to war. There are bombs going off everywhere stop crying and dive on in. Sometimes you win.... Sometimes you dont. Its not the end of the world. We as a community have shaped this game into something amazing if you just dont feel that way anymore thats fine. There are many games out there, so long fellow helldiver! May your afterlife be glorious
I'm actually really glad that I watched this video. It has showed me a different perspective to Helldivers 2 that I think I needed to see. Although, I myself for whatever reason, am NOT bored YET. I still play the game, I still have fun, and combining that with me watching this video has got me thinking. I think this game COULD be GREAT! That's why I keep playing. But all the issues with Sony, Arrowhead, nerfs, lack of new content, and bugs not being fixed/fixed too late/was fixed but got broken again after an update. Really makes it hard for this games potentional to be reached. All I can hope is that at the very least MOST things get turned around before too many players leave. As for me, I don't know when I'll leave, I'm still holding out for the time being, still hoping for what it can be.
I'm happy to hear you aren't bored yet! I wish I was the same way. Remember to take breaks and hopefully you never get burned out. I hope you keep enjoying the game :)
I am fine if you need to leave and probably take a break from the game and potentially block it back up today. But don’t dog on some of the weapons and items. The 2 paywalled stratagems? All the helldivers that seem to ignore the major orders, defenses, and liberations just grind out samples and super credits and then move on. They have enough super credits to buy those warbonds without paying actual money for super credits. New helldivers can use their super credits from the first warbond towards the gas warbond is they are so worried about a paywalled set of stratagems. If not getting it early, then pick a warbond of choice and grab the other warbonds later when you have super credits. That is how a number of players played without spending extra cash. As for weapons. RL-77 Airburst Rocket Launcher works great. It’s like the FAF-14 Spear when it was in its “broken” state at the beginning of the game, a nuanced user of the Spear could consistently kill titans, tanks, hulks, and fabricators before the fixes. It’s a bit annoying that players still gave that excuse of a complaint until when they did try to fix it, they actually broke it and then took a few days to fix it again and actually got the fix to work. The original spear lock it wasn’t bad, it literally function like a really stinger missile launcher where the tracking could fib on the user. The RL-77 was broken the first day and fixed shortly after, and it works good today but so many players today don’t use it and when they do, they are too trigger happy and kill themselves and their team thinking it would do something when there is an enemy right in their face or nearby. It comes down to experienced users with nuanced experience. The same is said for all the armors and their armor passives. People don’t like unflinching but it is more of a stim and shield type of armor passive that you use for pushing to break an opening for your team or to not flinch as much when hit, covering your team with an MG during a mission. DSS, I can get the PB because so many teammates die to it unless you know how to dodge traitor barrages since it uses a similar pattern to those. Eagle Storm gives enough support during mission that when in danger, the danger gets destroyed while all your stratagems are on cooldown. The Orbital Blockade, if players could read, blocks invasions from other planets by putting a orbital blockade around the planet of origin [not the planet(s) on a defense campaign], that is the first notable thing about the blockade aside from Hellpod Optimization. Players who didn’t ready fubbed the entire major order and failed despite the major order being a success, they failed to defend Gaellivare, retake Mastia, and failed to contain outbreak at the reserve, and then later liberate the Acamar, the reserve, killing off all the bugs on it when the terminid reserve is for fuel research, it is suppose to have liberated planets around it to isolate it but they didn’t think about it. New enemies being reskins? We had both chargers and impalers in the first Helldivers game, the impaler isn’t a reskin of a charger, the Missile tank isn’t just a reskin tank or AA tank, it acts a bit like a katyusha or TOS-1 firing like an armored mobile artillery support (or in this case, rocket support), factory striders are major threats just due to the two laser machine guns and the cannon turret on top (the devastators aren’t much of an issue). Your words aren’t completely wrong either though as there is the spore variants of enemies such as sport warriors and spore chargers, with a new niche to them. Replayability, aside from getting all the stratagems, ship modules, and capping out all my resources, the one thing I do now is either meme build or test build, and for high intensity missions of level 10 since anything below that is kind of getting easier to do the more you know what you are doing, but sometimes the fun with friends is another thing to that brings people to play longer even if they have everything. As for player numbers, the game doesn’t have the same size studio as a live service game such as Destiny 2, they can’t push out the content that larger studios can, in addition, just like other extraction shooters like Escape from Tarkov, it is grindy to the point of being boring for those who don’t normally play extraction shooters, long time (30-40 minute) battle royale runs (such as PUBG), and want more instant or quick gratification. Long grinders like those who play games such as minecraft, digging stone for several hours to a whole day straight and create giant hole, or building giant megastructures and decorating, that is a whole other mind set that allows some gamers to remain. Hence why of the 400k-600k players that were consistently online back then, they dropped out, aside from the country bans, and I know it isn’t Destiny 2 players since the count of players in game was still high while HD2 was playing out in the beginning. Lacking content, I don’t think I ever see content creators explore truly different builds like flame builds on bots. I hear so much bad talk from people during missions when I use it, yet it works, despite limited range. It’s fine that you leave with the potential to return should interest for you pick back up, but the lack of player understanding or ability to read and the do something is baffling at times. Regardless, if you are bored, you are bored, do something else and come back later when things change more. If switch to a different game, that is fine, I wouldn’t mind watching other content. I am a variety gamer, so if a content creator puts out game content for a game that I haven’t seen before, cool. You have a good one, Easy. I hope to see more content from you.
I’ve been playing 3-5 hours a week pretty consistently for a while now. I really want to be a part of the story going forward and see what gets added, but I order to do that I need to not get burned out on it. I find the 3-5 hour a week to be a manageable amount.
Glad to see someone who gets the concept of moderation. Half the people who play these kind of games play them practically non stop until they fully burn themselves out and then they blame the game saying it’s boring. It’s a live service game that was $40. I don’t see how you’re gonna complain that 400 hours isn’t with $40.
In my opinion: - HD2 RUclipsrs make lots of negative content that sometimes hurts the game more than those updates, - The devs were never scrutinized this before because their games were smaller, so they have to take responsibility now and can't slide past people's attention anymore. It is also the first game of theirs that garnered this much attention, there needs to be a lot of readjustment, - There is lack of transparency and wonky communication from the team at Arrowhead - many leaks and information that people put out (regarding DSS for instance) that wasn't put in the game and they didn't correct anything (I did think we would get platoons now, or at least be able to use the DSS as a Hub). If they did future content updates with details, I think people would know what to expect. We can't live on hype alone, - the game's content is good and we get enough stuff to keep us in game. I think people are too focused on having additional content all the time. It feels like some severe case of gamerbrain when people cry about not getting enough updates. I do agree that some Warbonds are worse than others and perhaps made lazily (like no new armor passives in the winter one). - the devs are working on an engine that isn't supported anymore, so they have to not only fix game issues, but workaround engine issues - I think it is unfair to say they take too long to fix issues due to incompetence or laziness, - Sony is stupid for forcing players to get a PSN account in the first place and for still blocking many countries from playing. All in all, I have faith in Arrowhead. There is no need to be overly negative. - the game has lots of details. Just look at all the animations, models and interactions. There was claerly a lot of effort put in to make the game amazing. - it wasn't released broken (like many games nowadays), or in a beta state. It may seem arguable, but as someone who joined late (at the cusp of losing Malevelon Creek) the issues that cropped up were minor, or typical for videogames. - the devs are Swedish - their mentality when it comes to games, updates, balancing is weird. Just look at Vermintide 2, or Darktide, maybe even the Division. Amazing games that are only ever made worse by updates that don't make sense. I will keep playing and supporting Arrowhead, because the game is a real gem. I might be one of the few people saying it, but I enjoyed the orbital bombardment. Ha ha ha. Lots more chaos, but made the bots wish they were never built. Then again, I do wish we could at least walk around the DSS and itneract with other Helldivers. Also, all of this comes from a casual dif10 player. Gaming only after work and on weekends, if I have the time. To me, it is just a game. It is better than most. It is replayable and enjoyable. The only reason I bought it was because the gameplay was fun and once the reviews were in, I was sure I could purchase this game and not regret it.
I can’t wait to see what else you have in store, I really liked how you made and edited your videos and always wondered what it would look like for other games!!
People are so fake nowadays, do you think when I stop playing a game I announce it to my entire family? When vehicles are introduced people will be like, WE'RE SO BACK!!! It's the eternal loop influencers keep us on.
Absolutely! No1 should care what people who play games as a JOB think about those games. If this guy was honest he would've just said that his views are now tanking due to the game losing it's huge popularity, which is not going to allow him to continue to play the game as a career.
yeah just wait for the next "Massive Leak or Uncorfirmed update notes" Rile people up to false news just for clicks, guess this is what "Content Creator" means nowadays
its crazy because this is a kind of game i wanted for years, PVE game with a community that worked together to go through a live story, i was told by people it would be impossible. Arrowhead has proven its possible but man... they just dropped every ball they had. hope other devs in the future or even by some miracle arrowhead gets it together and works this stuff out.
If the DSS has been months in the making, then it would only make sense they haven't released everything, everyone gets WAYYY to hyped for an update expecting an absurd amount of content in each update, not to mention they are developing on a engine that is no longer used by other devs. You guys need to calm down and let them cook.
Brother the thing that was "months in the making" is literrally a menu , a planet-wide (ALREADY EXISTING) booster, and a reskined meteor shower, all things that were already in the game. I cant imagine that it took more than 1 person and 2 weeks to make, or perhaps their engine is so badly desinged that it actually took the entire team months. Either way it is no exuse for what we received.
For me the enemies, the weapons, and the levels are alright. I have 300 hours and am not even level 100 yet. However, we really really need new missions and environments like under ground or in a city under attack. Would be so refreshing. Progression in terms of samples, only needed to be level 25, and slips being pretty useless are all pretty stale. It took so long to get a maxed ship that gave mediocre buffs half the time and until the DSS all your loot was just maxed. I have a maxed ship, all warbonds done, almost every super store armor, every weapon, every stratagem, and so on. In short... We need new missions, vastly different environments to spice things up, and a reason to get samples, slips, and medals when you are maxed, also levels past 25 unlocking stuff
Hey buddy those 2 stratagems are not locked behind a “pay wall” it’s more like a “Play Wall” where you can unlock them through just playing. Anyways cya I’ve always found you annoying.
Always found me annoying... yet you're here watching another video. lol. It is a paywall. Same as any other game with a battle pass. But on the bright side, you're a perfect consumer for these companies falling for their tricks. Enjoy
I very much appreicate everyone's perspectives here. Thanks y'all for the support, your opinions, and for everything in between. ❤
To clarify: I don't think this game is bad.
At least you have good taste in games so I subbed anyway lol
I've been very critical about hd2 as well and this update was not it.

Arrowhead are not indie, they are literally funded by Sony, which makes it all more dissapointing.
"Your game isn't fun" is now "Your game has no DLC so I can't play it anymore :3" lmao
Who cares, I thought Helldivers 2 looked fun to play & it is.

This mfer will be back with a quickness when the illuminate they've been working on since release drop
hell, after all these leaks of OMG GUYS NEW UPDATE SO SOON! and so many missed chances from AH i literally have been doing this.
You’ve just described what’s considered a games honeymoon phase, and it is applicable to literally every game that has and will come out

Helldivers 2 can be pretty accurately described by a comment I saw on Reddit, basically stating that "Arrowhead making Helldivers 2 as good as it was on launch must have been a fluke". The difference in quality between the base game and the updates is staggering.
it's almost as if a different team handled development, then they handed it off to a another team. because ya the difference makes no sense.
That's a clown ass take.
I felt the same…
One week later I was completely back into it
Sadly, I tried this. Multiple times. There have been many 2-3 week breaks for me and it is never enough :(
@@itseasymode maybe you overplayed it but unlike gastroyer1 you couldnt stop to take the week break because of youtube so it just got worse and worse untill it was runined forever for you (game therory refrence here)
@@itseasymode Yeah, when it comes to breaks for me, I'd rather take 1-2 months off.
I stopped for several months, came back after the big buff update to weapons and im loving it again. Tho i still only play 3 missions and then stop.
Just go.

I appreciate that. Thank you for tuning in.
Sorry guy, we made the DSS available and it sucks, we're working on making it not suck, so while whe make it better, here's 4 major orders that you have to win before any potential fix will be rolled out
Sidenote: those major orders are rigged anyway, so even if we do fail, they'll give us free buffs to let us auto-win anyway.
everyone is waiting for the illuminate. this is another huge thing arrowhead has taken way too long on. Most people have been waiting and waiting for the illuminate but the longer it takes to put them in, the more players they lose.
If i being arrowhead, i would stopy making warbounds for a while and rather work on stratagems. Less Suits, more firepower
I'd focus on variety, like, choosing a way on a skill tree (for example, cuz I suck at inventing things) where you can upgrade and unlock unique upgrades depending on where you specialize:
- Ballistics specialist (Includes the extra padding, explosion resistant, less recoil, more and stronger grenades, heavy machine guns and anti-tank upgrades.)
- Tech lunatic (Includes laser, plasma, sentry, tesla, drone, shield generator, servo-assisted, stunning stratagems and electric damage resistant upgrades.)
- Stealthy shit (Includes the stealth armor, radar, map traverse speed, silenced guns, meelee weapons, some kind of trap stratagem, like spikes for slowing enemies, smoke, etc. upgrades.)
- Chemical mad scientist (Includes pyromancer and gas guns, grenades and armors, some kind of chemical explosive, like gas and flames combined, stims, etc. upgrades.)
- (My personal favourite) The pilot (Simply includes viable mechs, the one badass heavy machine gun operated turret, eagle, some kind of sturdy compact exosuit, wich makes your physical capabilities incredibly fun, such as the ability to climb walls, and jetpack upgrades.)
Mission type and more mobs diversity also.
I'd love to actually get the vehicles, clan system or weapon modding that were in the game files almost since release...

@kylepassey7813 It's not that. This guy just rants about the game not pushing content out like a triple A title. The video is just run of the mill click bait. I just think the devs don't have enough staff to work effectively or efficiently. Their focus is always divided between new content, balancing/patches or performance issues. If they had a bigger team the problems could be split and updates would release quicker.

My headcannon is that some other team built the game and then handed it off to someone else with some notes. My mind is constantly blown by the number of rakes they step on.
😢 The rakes are jammed through the spokes of a bicycle wheel. 🍂🚴♂️
Things that could keep players playing:
• Grind for new weapon/ship customization parts
• Completing challenges to get cosmetics
• Grind for new stratagems (not behind a paywall, but behind a challenge wall)
• Giving small groups of players more impact on planets liberation. Right now only one big playermass can liberate planets, other small groups of people are doing mathematically nothing
• New fun mechanics. Not another boring type of mines stratagem, but something like AC-130 stratagem with player control over guns
Idk, some of these points are so well established and well proven that many games implement them with great success.

Sad to say fr I had a lot of fun times since launch
Edit: if yall still enjoy the game im not knocking you for it, to each their own.
But thats a lot of hours to have in one game. I feel like that would be most games if a person put that much time into it
DUDE 546 HOURS IS INSANE WDYM you have beenalmost 23 days straight playing this game no wonder you are tired.

@bradharrison4391 I think the game does need more content but also expecting any game to give you endless content after that many hours is also a bad idea. No game on the planet will not run out of content for you with enough hours played. You need to play other stuff once you get tired of a game.
AH was not prepared to give this game any genuine effort
Braindead take
@avalonfrostbite Amazing comment
@@avalonfrostbite He is correct honestly. AH was not expecting SUCH success, how on earth would they be prepared?

"Easy" returned to civilian life. Godspeed.
Live-service has destroyed gaming and player's expectations.

There's lots of viable options. I switch loadouts every couple missions, just to make me have to switch up my playstyle.

After 450 hours almost every game starts getting boring. Nobody is blaming you. Play the games you want to play. But i will still watch your content :D
Thank you for understanding :)
@ that’s also true. My main point was that helldivers has so much going it aganist that it’s gonna be hard to dig it out.
@@dapper3322 arrowhead is a really small studio it was a big w on there part but I do love the game lets hope the next update save democracy
That's the plan! Thank you for the support.
"vErY fUnNy. nOw fAcE tHe wAlL" Like fuck off
Just because you and your friends who play two hours a week "had a blast" playing, dosent mean the game is in a good state.
I've been enjoying a lot of single player games lately. There is a lot for me to catch up on!
@@itseasymode but can you mention what? I've been on the lookout for some other games.
I feel you, I am in the same state. The game does not have enough new content
I feel the same way. I played my first mission in a week yesterday and i was so bored i quit halfway through. After you unlock everything theres just no reason to continue. I didnt know who you were til now but i wish you luck on your future content creation!
Thank you for the well wishes!
Sadly i have to agree .
it could have been great and grand but i won´t ever be like that .
Ah have proven that missmanagement is their way and it won´t change .
Good for you, I've never cared about balance, only stopped cuz there're no new contents.
Will you come back if it gets better
Never say never. The future of this channel will not be focused on just one game, so there's potential for anything here. Going to be hard to say no once the Illuminate drop.
6:28 agreed with all of that. I’ve found myself taking long breaks from Helldivers 2 purely because I get sick and tired of playing the same missions over and over again. Running across the entire map over and over again… it gets mind numbingly exhausting sometimes
Sony had a golden goose and they shot it. 278k to 33k players. They shot it and won't mercy it
Well at least you knew that you're done with it and that's good , now if only "oh dough" would follow suit
"The Gameplay is great!"
The Gameplay: *Gets ragdolled by harmless hazard into a death pit.
Thank you so much for the kind comment!
“What about loyalty… to everything?”
“You been loyal. I been loyal. Look where that got us.”
"The reward for loyalty is betrayal."
"When they eventually end up fixing something it ends up broken again." *Telesto has entered the chat.*
That's treason, Helldiver.
They blame us for complaining about balance and that's why it takes content forever meanwhile it takes other studios can take care of this in a week.
I really hate to admit it, but he's got a point. 😕
In my opinion:
- HD2 RUclipsrs make lots of negative content that sometimes hurts the game more than those updates,
- The devs were never scrutinized this before because their games were smaller, so they have to take responsibility now and can't slide past people's attention anymore. It is also the first game of theirs that garnered this much attention, there needs to be a lot of readjustment,
- There is lack of transparency and wonky communication from the team at Arrowhead - many leaks and information that people put out (regarding DSS for instance) that wasn't put in the game and they didn't correct anything (I did think we would get platoons now, or at least be able to use the DSS as a Hub). If they did future content updates with details, I think people would know what to expect. We can't live on hype alone,
- the game's content is good and we get enough stuff to keep us in game. I think people are too focused on having additional content all the time. It feels like some severe case of gamerbrain when people cry about not getting enough updates. I do agree that some Warbonds are worse than others and perhaps made lazily (like no new armor passives in the winter one).
- the devs are working on an engine that isn't supported anymore, so they have to not only fix game issues, but workaround engine issues - I think it is unfair to say they take too long to fix issues due to incompetence or laziness,
- Sony is stupid for forcing players to get a PSN account in the first place and for still blocking many countries from playing.
Are you brain dead?
10 months and no illuminate, end game, or a hub to meet at.
Enjoy
