It would be awesome if Cameron would make short 10 min videos commenting on significant market evolution/changes, like the one just happened with Paypal. It would be a nice way to keep on the past work you have done, and commenting on what is happening to the stock, and if it really has an impact on your previous valuation or not. It would make the channel more dynamic.
@@booneyinc9515 hahaha, I can make the decision, it is still a buy and now more than ever. It is on sale! My comment was a suggestion for Cameron to include more easily done content in his channel. Something dynamic to reuse previous forecast and data he already has collected in order to make a sound judgement on the way the market is behaving.
The other thing that makes PYPL great is that as inflation continues to grow, so does their take of each transaction; their sales are a fixed percent of every order value.
All stock investments come with risk. Nobody can see the future or predict every stock with 100% accuracy. This analysis is simply using the fundamentals of a company to attempt to make a rational investment decision, you win some and you lose some. I do feel that sometimes you put too much emphasis on the quantitative aspects of analysis and not enough on the qualitative/macro aspects, but I still really enjoy the way you approach investing and I have learned many things from this channel. I feel like a lot of people in the comment section just blindly follow your recommendations and get mad when you get one wrong. Things change, shit happens, there are a lot of factors to consider when making an investment and that's what makes it fun. There is no right answer, value is subjective at the end of the day.
Thanks Cameron for this excellent analysis! I was wondering if you could do an analysis of Block (SQ)? Would like to see the comparison of SQ against PYPL since they are somewhat in competition. Or have you done SQ already as I am new to your channel?
Thanks Cameron for all your great analysis's. I own PYPL and I use it since it was introduced with eBay. It is still my preferred payment service for internet buys. The most risk I see is that they don't have a big moat. A few new payment services came up recent years and I am not sure how attractive it is for new internet shoppers.
Very true. Paypal recently landed Amazon partnership but I think the rest of the tech giants will try to enter the space as well to close the loops. Especially AMZN.
I agree, and like the stock, but I'm not buying higher than 120, I have to disagree with Cameron on conservativeness. The role of value investors is to buy at conservative assumptions and find great opportunities. Other than that; I'd see it as just participating, and with today's overvalued stock market... no no no.
Another excellent analysis. I still wish the random side camera flips would end, but I'm glad everything else in your content has stayed consistently good.
PYPL is by far my biggest position via LEAPS and a small position of 100 shares that i write covered calls to offset the cost of the LEAPS. My LEAPS expire in Jan 2024 so tones of time, i have 7 contracts at a $300 strike and bought another 3 contracts at $200 Strike, my 100 shares are at a cost slightly below $200. This analysis is EXCELLENT as it reinforces my thesis to hold hold hold all my contracts till expiration date and exercise some of the contracts
They are 99.00 now lol I wonder what Cameron thinks now because there's such a dramatic change in the price of the stock. They missed some numbers so is this am absolute steal where you're going to make a killing or is this going to be flat for sometime.
Could you please make a short update on your valuation after 2021 ER released and guidance for the future growth is provided from PYPL? Is this still you high conviction stock? Thanks a lot.
I feel like those assumptions may be a smidge aggressive... it’s growth remains too high for a company that’s already becoming a monster (their 10Y average anual revenue growth is slightly above 18% if I’m not mistaken) and that’s already facing growing competition. I’m a little bit less bullish on PayPal and my buy Price is more around the 150$, but it is definitely a great company and one stock that I’m aching to buy. Great video thou, keep it up!
Thanks Cameron, excellent video. Could you maybe share your process on how to evaluate insurance companies? The german insurance company Allianz seems to be rather undervalued.
I think your forecast numbers are a bit high, and personally I'd expect a lower price multiple because of a lower revenue growth. Good video, I think its's still over priced but definitely worse stocks out there, would be more interested under 140
PayPal is just getting started in their earnings from fees via crypto transactions. It's less than 2 years old this feature and still far far less than 50% of the U.S. population even does crypto buying. It will become more prevalent going forward so you're 100% wrong about PayPal.
Great video as always Cameron! Some stocks that I would like to see you review on your channel include: ProCore (PCOR) Trade Desk (TTD) Mastercard (MA) Air BnB (ABNB) Adobe (ADBE) Estee Lauder (EL) Nike (NKE) Square (SQ) BlackRock (BLK) UPS (UPS)
@@CstewartCFA Love your analysis and straightforward videos. Also like that the videos follow a somewhat standardized format. I would love to see you take a crack at Square/Block (SQ). Thank you!
With more and more competitors coming , especially google and apple pay, i doubt they can keep the growth momentum looking forward. Do you have any ideas on this?
Thanks Cameron, new subscriber here who is going back to watch some other vids Have you considered doing a video for Kraft Heinz? Interesting consumer stock that has pricing power, but the stock has been beaten over the past 5 years
This is the thing I don’t understand. Even in real world example say luxury brands, they are overly priced but yet people still buy. I think If one continues to think one particular stock is expensive or overvalued, it’ll be hard to find or make money on the market.
If they are purchasing $1,635m of stock but issuing $1,376 in stock based compensation, then is the net reduction in shares only $259m (i.e. a fairly negligible amount)?
8 trillion as money rolling through their system in 2031 doesn't look conservative enough to me, considering it is just 1 trillion this year. That's 8 times more in matter of 10 years. Is it possible, sure, is it likely, I don't think so.
Even if the big market players start to have their own payment methods, (amazon, etc.) do you think paypal should grow that much? To what extent are they exposed to these same big players and that could affect the company a lot? strong hug

I agree ☝️
Reevaluation of PYPL is needed after they reported new estimates
Yes! The price is way lower now too!
this might be the most underrated financial youtube account. This guy knows his shit
The other thing that makes PYPL great is that as inflation continues to grow, so does their take of each transaction; their sales are a fixed percent of every order value.

Easily the best and most accurate analysis of stocks on RUclips, good job!
The cash flow statement is my favourite statement, your favourite statement

Yes, I was just about to make this comment! Cheers Marco and thanks for the great review Cameron!
SQ is no way near PayPal. Paypal has Huge. Anyways we can compare
overvalued
Cameron will puke on SQ's ev/ebitda
Agree. Marco, was about to sugget the same. Big pullback recently, so good opportunity to evaluate at what might be a good price
Wow this might be a few undervalued growth stocks out there. What a gem, thanks for reviewing this Cameron
Here we go..not even two months later the stock is at 110 dollars and falling...good entry point
EBITDA is going down...hopefully it won't become a trend.
High time for an update - many are echoing Paypal is a no-go

Wow, that's a brilliant analysis, thank you 👍🙏... rarely seen such a highly informative channel... had to subscribe... greetings from Germany
Wow. A good investment at $188 and there are people saying not to buy at $105. Thanks for your methodology, Cameron.
The partnership with Amazon in 2022 will be huge.
I really like your presenting style. Good job. I have learnt much from watching and use it to analysis stocks in the UK.
Just dropped after hours after earnings might be a great time to pick up some shares on this pullback 💵
Fantastic analysis. Love this work you put in.
Cameron, love your work. Now we have numbers for 2021, think you may want to do this again to clear the confusion created over the last couple weeks
Fantastic as always. Thank you for what you do. Long time subscriber and always learn something from you.
Ever since this video the price has dropped dramatically. Is PYPL really not overvalued?
Started to miss you in my RUclips feed! Love the analysis, as usual!

I’m new to LEAPS. Are these leap calls? If so, why not buy deep ITM calls?
Thanks to you I bought shares today at these prices ... $98
Just scooped 100 shares @ 77.77 !
Still holding?
At 88 $ is Paypal now returning over 30% a year? ;)
Just hit $59!!! Lets do a revaluation on this 💪🏾
Ya it’s time

Thanks for covering this one!! I was just about to start looking their numbers.

You need to review their float and likely return on that cash first, then compare it to their operating gains/loses

I can't think of the last time I used PYPL nor can I think of a reason to use it in the future.
Does anybody know why Paypal stock is going down last 6 months if these numbers are so good?

Hold on there buddy. Let's just do 5-10 years for now and then reassess.
Thanks for the analysis and merry Christmas. May be you should have a look at global payments instead. Looks for me like the better deal.

Awesome! Super helpful.. Thank you!
Any chance for a vid on Corsair Gaming (CRSR)? Their stock has been in some serious pain lately and seems relatively cheap.
Nice company but the eagle tree ownership is a HUGE problem. Wouldn't touch it
Thank you for your awesome videos
This needs an update for sure
It just dropped so far yesterday that my brokerage sold my shares.....

Thanks Cameron, new subscriber here who is going back to watch some other vids

You buying? I'm thinking about nibbling tomorrow and see if it goes down further.
Love this channel
thats the question ? pick the right horse

in don't think they can keep this high growth rates. the last 2 years were exceptional due to lockdowns and free money.
Cameron, your share price at the end (180) is different from the 2021 market cap you were using (implies 230 a share price). Why this difference?
It is time to buy some shares Cameron :)
So now its below 137, makes it more than 25% return per year 😳
The business is growing and makes cash. I think the market is over reacting
The market tends to overreact. Fantastic buying opportunity

Also how did u get the projected ebitda margins?

Second Match and Intuit. Both on my watch list.
Thanks again...your opinion on TTD please
How about now?
