Izzy wrote the vast majority of all the best riffs except for the intro to Sweet Child. The loss of Izzy was the beginning of the bands difficulty in writing new hits after the illusions.

Well they did cover sympathy for the devil but they are a different era than the Stones and edgier I think. I grew up hearing my parents play the Stones and my brother play G n R so both were influential to me.

how many of you played with GNR in the club days like i did? they rocked then, they rock now. everybody in hollywood knew they were never destined to be together for the long haul. that's a shame. in 1985/86... when GNR hit the strip, the entire musical world changed. instantly. those of us playing on the strip knew it would never be the same. and it wasn't.

Obsessed with this video. A few things I noticed: Slash is literally so fucked up & on the floor but the best solo around 2:50. His little singing part was cute. 3:40 “THE END.” Duff with the wrong lyric lol 2:04 dizzy really adds a nice skynard type of grove I don’t think axl had a problem with Izzy singing. Izzy looks exhausted & axl & duff are singing along helping him. They all said Izzy was over it at this point. Axl takes the mic because it’s his, in the center stage. & the song was over & I think axl was just really into it
Slash is HOT period. No matter what he wears, or if he wears hardly anything at all, but when he wears outifts like the one in this video, I feel like I've died and gone to heaven!
@Hallucination November Rain is regarded as one of $la$h's best solos, also written entirely by Axl Rose. Yes he did write the Sweet Child intro, but he hated the song, he didn't want it to go on the record, Axl convinced him otherwise.
