Doyle Frank Brunson was a true poker trailblazer. He was a two-time World Series of Poker Main Event Champion (1976 & 1977), a Poker Hall of Fame inductee (1988), and the author of several books on poker. Doyle was the first player to win $1 million in poker tournaments. He was born on August 10, 1933 in Longworth, Texas and died on May 14, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by his wife, Louise (married 62 years), and his two children, Todd and Pamela.
