The Japanese airlines always needed big planes for their short domestic fights. In case someone asks why they operate a long haul aircraft within their borders. Boeing used to built a special 747-200/300 and 400 for their best customer in Asia in the past. The - 400 had a one class configuration and no wingglets.
How about some ELAL 787-9 action from FLL or MIA?? Might head back in September! 1st things first though... Delta Vacations from PBI> Auckland, NZ for our 2nd anniversary June 8th> 18th or thereabouts
As someone who has never left the US, except for a few visits down to TJ, I find your videos fascinating especially when, like here, you blink and suddenly you’re high over any developed American metropolis, except you’re not, it’s Japan and…..I don’t get out much 😂
Growing up in NYC, I thought I knew the size of a true metropolis. Then I joined the military and traveled a bit… Karachi, Pakistan in 2009, blew away what I knew about the size and population of cities… Then I went to Japan last October. Hands down, the cities that go on forever.
Yes, but only if done through aftermarket means. Apple will not upgrade computers after you've bought them. Even if something breaks and it needs repaired, they will only replace parts with what you originally ordered.
Can anyone explain what the "drilling" sound is during takeoff from the moment the wheels come off the ground till seatbelt sign off? I believe its the cabin compressor regulator, but can be mistaken?
So the most prominent noises you're hearing after rotation is the engines. But I'm not 100% sure if you're referring to the buzzing sound, or the more constant humming sound. Drilling could be either of those. The buzzing noise, which is what I think you're referring to is the engine's fan blades. During takeoff, the fan blades are spinning faster than the speed of sound, which causes their tips to make small sonic booms as they rotate. The buzzing sound is those thousands of small sonic booms being heard all at the same time. As you climb, less power is required to keep the aircraft aloft and at speed, so they eventually dissipate as the fan blades dip back below the speed of sound.
Why are there so many "sports" places like soccer and tennis fields bare sand / earth and not grass? Never seen something like this. All those sand-colored large spots inside the city are these sport places when you zoom in on them on Google Maps.
This might just be the best engine buzz I've ever captured 🤤... Enjoy!
🤤
That engine buzz was music to my ears.
One of my all time favorite takeoffs from you! Thanks for the replay!

Thoroughly enjoyed the sound of Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. The Airbus A350 is my favorite aircraft, particularly the -1000 variant

Great fly! Is your iMac SSD upgradeable?
