Story behind "Your Guardian Angel"
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus dedicated this song to the 8 teenagers who were killed by an E4 tornado in Enterprise, Alabama on March 1, 2007. A boy saved his girlfriend by throwing his body over hers. He was killed by the tornado, and she's alive today. He did it because he loved her and wanted for her to live. "I will never let you fall, I'll stand up with you forever. I'll be there for you through it all, even if saving you sends me to heaven." Thus, he's her guardian angel. Enterprise High School was destroyed by this tornado.

So about ten years ago I met this beautiful woman in high school. We quickly found feelings for each other as most kids do when they are younger. I fell as hard as anyone could possibly fall but we had to split because we both agreed that things weren't going to work. We stayed friends for a long time but slowly grew apart and lived our lives. But one fateful day we ran into each other again and our flame grew brighter than ever and we were back and ready to take on the world after 6 years apart. After some big steps in my life I got a car and an apartment in which we lived together. I was in an accident that took her life, scared beyond belief I suppressed every emotion I could and ran at the thought of her because I haven't been able to fully process this loss. My life has been on hold since that night. I spent 2 years in prison, and rightfully so. My life has been a stand still, and I haven't known what to do for the last couple years other than drink, smoke, and work my pain away. Put myself in relationships with women that abused me and used the accident as a knife against me, because that's what I thought I deserved. I was going to take my life but I wanted to listen to our song first. This song... now I'm not religious, or spiritual, I'm a man of science and fact but I am not against the thought or others beliefs. But when I listened to this song 2 hours ago and again just now I felt the most kind, gentle and familiar hug, I was wrapped in a blanket of chills and emotions that I kept down for so long. I no longer want to die. I don't know what my purpose is In life but I will keep going and I will keep her in my heart. I guess the few things I'm trying to say is that you need to spend as much time with the ones you live as you can, the fights, the silly times, everything. Lost my mom back in 2015 while deployed in Africa. Not even 7 months later, my fiancé was shot and killed in a mugging in downtown Los Angels, my own home town. It’s been almost 4 years since all of that happened, and I still can’t seem to recover. My fiancé said she wanted this to play the night we get married, because this was actually playing in the background the first time we ever told each other “I love you”.

This song was in the CD made for her memorial service. As was "Big girls don't cry' by, "Over the rainbow" and a song her younger sister wrote and was sang by her now ex-husband. So thank you again. I came to listen to this song because it reminded me of my mom. She died early January 2015 of liver and kidney failure. This song reminds me that my mom doesnt have to suffer the hurt and the pain she went through on earth. She suffered everyday yet she cared more about everyone elses happiness rather than her own. She sees and talks to people who aren't there. I call every so often and always worry if she'll remember me. I called about a week ago; she remembered me. That was a relief. My dad (he's 85) takes 24-hour care of her. When they promised to stay together on October 1, 1954 for the rest of their lives, they meant it. They had four kids. We lost my older sister in May 1988 to leukemia; she was just 32. The rest of us are all "senior citizens" now. Imagine you're a parent, and you live long enough to see your kids in their middle 50s. Gotta make you proud. You know you did a good job...

Sometimes when people attempt to save another, it sends them to hell because the target of their love/affection is on a permanent down elevator.
Many reasons for this, could be the loved one has alcohol or drug addiction, could be self destructiveness that takes another form or the other person is strictly a taker and self centered, selfish and the love is all one way. I have experienced all of those.
