Yea don’t me wrong, Lapras is still underrated but having a Comfey attached to her is bound to inflate her survivability and therefore her damage.

I would like to see Milotic added in as Gyrados's defensive counterpart. I feel like it would be an awesome addition to the game.
Technically, this character could be 4/5 roles, but I want Deoxys in the game. The only role it couldn't fill is Supporter. I want it to be either a Mewtwo situation where you have licesnces for the differenent forms, or be a mew situation, where you can change forms every few minutes.
If they want to take it a comp pokemon route, speed would be the support and attack would be a glass cannon. That would probably be the best legendary they could ever add. It can be the one mon that uses both special attack and physical too in attack. One for speedster one for attack.
It should be like mew: Unkillable walks into enemies, attack form to then oneshot everyone
Or init form to chase down any enemy even if they have Xspeed

I mention this a few times here and there on your streams, but I'd love to see Muk as a defender. Give it a passive that when he gets hit by a melee auto-attack it poisons the opposing mon, for 1% of their max hp each tick for 5 ticks and put the passive on like a 25s or 30s cooldown (idk what cooldown would be balanced there). Seems like it would be super fun to have a toxic style mon, all-rounder or defender, but Muk should be a defender.
For a defender I’d honestly love if they made Skeledirge a tanky defender with sound based disruption moves, though I have a feeling it’ll just be another attacker with Torch Song.
So I guess a more “logical” answer would be Grapploct, could have stuff like Circle throw for displacement, or Octolock and it would be in that category of weird cool Mon like Dodrio was

Lapras might be the worst defender in the game right now. It just can’t tank damage like Blasty, Slowbro, Trev, Umbreon, Crustle or Goodra. It’s not as bad as Greedent because it still does OK damage but its defense and HP are just so much worse than the others right now. And it sucks because Lapras is one of my fave Pokemon.
This is so true, I tend to play Lapras a lot because everyone wants to be an attacker or all rounder, and I find it funny that I usually out damage and kill all of them with Ice Beam and Perish Song.
I would love to see either Magnezone or Probopass added as a defender in this game. Either one could use their powers of magnetism to control the flow of battle and that could be very interesting in team fights

I think feraligator or skeldirgw would be good defenders they may seem more like all round see or attackers but they could really excel in the defender category especially skeldirgd
Nidoking /nidoqueen could be an intresting one as a defender if they ever need one.
They are kinda of an all-rounder
Would Love Meganium as a Defender/pseudo support as a kind of Aura enchanter with Aromatherapy creating a zone with her as the focal point or just leaving it in an area that would heal your party from status conditions/cc. She could also root targets with ingrain/leech seed that could redistribute the health it takes from rooted enemies to the team.
Aggron and Cofargrigus would be pretty tight too

Muk would be a cool add as a defender. Mud slap/poison gas as its starter moves then mud shot/sludge or toxic/ sludge bomb. Unite move is Acid Armor
I would love to see Empoleon or Chesnaught but we will probably get Terapagos EX as a defender for the 3rd anniversary.
Id love to see Numel and Camerupt as defenders. Its not common we get fire type defenders as it is.
Numel: mud slap/ roll out
Camerupt lvl 5: Lava plume (aoe of slow down and dot) / Heat Wave (push back and burn)
Camerupt lvl 8: Sunny day (aoe def/spdef boost and powers up heat wave or lave plume while in area) / Scorching sands (push back and burn)
Unite: Torched Earth - massive aoe of damage that leaves area of slow down and negates dash/teleport
Shedinja would be an interesting Defender choice, It would have the lowest HP in the game maybe a quarter of what Attackers/Speedsters have.
Wonder Guard would ofcourse be the Passive Ability, Basicly when you reach your last HP you become immune to all damage and stuns for about 15 seconds, Within the first 5 seconds of activation you are unable to move or attack but regenerate your health to full, However you are not invicible since the ability goes on cooldown for maybe 30 seconds.
Shedinja wouldn't output particularly much damage but the moveset would primarly consist of crowd control and mobility to escape making it a nuisance to fight.
Hmm? Shedinja as a tank? Interesting but I think all-rounder would make more sense but I don't think they'll add him.

I wouldn't rule this mon out as it's quite recognizable to many, If they did exclude it as playable then Ninjask would surely also go, Either as a Center buff duo or through wild Nincada.
would love to see Bronzong added to the game and be a supporter/defender that has good bulk and can give buffs to allies
Galarian Slowking, Curious Medicine ability would work like Oblivious on Slowbro, except it’s from damaging damaging opponents, not taking it
A fun defender I could think of would Eggsecutor with a harvest ability giving him slow regen, for moves eggbomb that acts more like Greedants bullet seed and protect to help mitigate damage and skill swap to switch his attacking stat with the opponents and leaf storm to give him an aoe option similar to curse with a unite move being grassy terrain to boost allies stats and reduce enemies stats.
I know this wasn't asked for but I think Toxicroak could be a very fun speedster or all rounder with a posion effect, reducing attack speed and damage. Moves that i think would be good would be fakeout and posion sting as first moves. Toxic spikes for cc and and Venoshock as his first moveset focusing on posioning and ccing in big fights with Toxic and Brick Break being a second moveset focused on brawling. As a unite move i think maybe being aoe gunk shot to slow and posion over time. For an ability I like rough skin slowly dealing damage whenever Toxicroak is being attacked
I think it’s a topic that could be in discussion. Sp.Atk Specs and Attack Weight need nerfs and the Pokémon that absolutely need them to become a threat in the game need some small to moderate stat increases. The main reasoning revolves around Pokémon like Buzzwole, Scizor, and Meowscarada. These type of pokemon that can sit under tier one, KO you all the way to Tier 2, and not get punished for it while only becoming a raid boss you have to deal with for 7-8 more minutes. Some Pokemon don’t need stacks to become viable, Lapras being a prime example. But with that option of an item giving way more Sp.Atk than any other item in the game, it’s a “why not” situation (120 Sp.Atk to be exact). Same goes for Attack Weight, 90 Attack on an All Rounder or Physical Attacker sounds overkill.
yeah but stacks are hard to get and in some games you might never get full stacks since everyone is defending goalzones
@@Arctorias valid, but think about it. IF you get all your stacks. Certain Pokémon don’t reach viable potential without all 6 Stacks. Gengar’s Combo isn’t as impactful without all 6 Stacks, Lucario’s Close Combat doesn’t even one shot Indeedee mid game without 5-6 Stacks. Stacking Items are too influential to some Pokémon’s builds and breaks some Pokemon’s Kit entirely. The reason why Buzzwole one shots everyone late game is because he stomps early game when he hits level 5 and Superpowers everyone under pad to stack to 6 easier. Scizor will bullet punch you to tier 2 and stack to 6 when he it hits 5, a Glaceon will Icicle Spear camp you to stack to 6 easier when it hits 4-6. They are already strong, but having an item that further strengthens the builds by pretty much doubling your main stat early game. Should a Buzzwole have a 300 base attack stat at level 5 minimum at 8 minutes?

Groudon could serve as an impenetrable wall of rock that can offer bursts of damage from the back line. Aka Groudon would make a really good Siege Style Pokémon.
I think Slurpuff would be a great addition to the game. he’d definitely be a melee SpAtk based defender. His every three basic attacks will be a boosted, the boosted does additional damage and slows enemies down. his first “R” button move would be sweet scent, sweet scent would be an area move in which Swirlix does a bit of damage to enemies and slightly decreases the damage they do to swirlix, after the move is used it can be used again as a dash, but not so far kind of like acid spray on goodra, the dash does not deal damage this move has a 4.5 second cooldown. At level two swirlix’s “ZR” move will be cotton guard, a sure hit mov that can only be used on teammates or yourself,
Grants the user a shield and after using this move Swirlix’s next basic attack will be a boosted attack, if the user grants an ally Pokémon a shield there will not be any other effects, this move has a 6.5 second cooldown. At level four Swirlix will evolve into Slurpuff and would learn either frustration or calm mind for its “R” move, I will start with frustration. Frustration is a buff move in which Slurpuff makes a little angry emotive, this move increases Slurpuffs Def and SpDef by 20% and every attack that hits the user from the enemy team will increase the users SpAtk a bit (this can stack up to 4 times) this lasts for 4 seconds, this move has a 8.5 second cooldown. Calm mind is a hindrance/sure-hit move, applies a sleeping effect to opposing Pokemon for a short time every basic attack to hit them while asleep will restore HP to the user, every boosted attack to hit while the Pokemon is asleep will deal extra damage. At level six Slurpuff will learn either Misty explosion or Double team, I will start with Misty explosion . its an area type of move and deals massive damage to opponents, Slurpuff poofs out an area of pink mist around itself that deals damage to opposing Pokemon, if this move hits an opponent that is under half of its HP stat, they are left with a mark, if the user knocks out a marked opponent, the user restores some HP, this move has a 4.5 second cooldown. Double team is a projectile type attack like egg bomb in which the user throws little cherry monsters at opponents, if the cherry monster hits an opponent directly it will splat on them dealing damage, and if the cherry monsters hits the ground they will start attacking wild and enemy Pokemon for you, the Cherry Monsters have their own heath bar but if a Cherry Monster gets Knocked out the user will take a little bit of damage too. Up to two Cherry Monsters can be out at once and two can be left in store, this move has a 3 second cooldown. You get your unite move “Cherry On Top” at level eight. Cherry On Top is an area type attack in which a giant Cherry will fall from the sky to the desegregated area it would kinda be like dragonites unite move and tell everyone where the Cherry is going to land, anyway it would smash onto the ground and leave a residue where it landed that ups the speed of ally Pokemon and gradually restores there HP and the opposite for the other team. The ability is Unburden and makes it so that whenever Slurpuff uses a battle item it slightly increases his movement speed.

Its kind of wild that we don't have a Steel type Defender in Unite, with Steel being the best defensive typing in the mainline games by far. Plenty to choose from there, but I think I'd probably go for either Steelix or Magnezone. Both would have quite unique shapes and animations and both also bring along a secondary type we could use more of in Unite. Magnezone would be fun as a trapper tank, drawing enemies away from allies and slowing them down, keeping them locked in place. Steelix I imagine as something that might use its body to block parts of the arena or hinder groups of enemies with wide range attacks.
I know we have so many bulky water defenders already, but I'd love to see Suicune. Torkoal could be a good sure type defender.
My sis used to use the laprass sing build since me and my sis were a Wiggly and Laprass sing duo! It was rlly fun and we did a lot of stuns :)
What if they made mewtwo mega happen at like level 9 instead of level 5
I want Skarmory as a defender.
Low HP but with plenty shields, one move set to outlast; Maybe a Roost that leaves it moving on land but heals it and gives Sp.Def for few secs, maybe like Outrage Dragonite moving slower and changing it's attacks but dealing more damage with basics, and a Brave Bird for mobility that pushes opponents like Blastoise's Surf.
And the other for being an absolute annoyance; Like Spikes that Slows and DOT that remains after leaving the Spikes zone, and a Whirlwind can damage and move the target(s) to a certain direction and deal damage, and should do extra damage when slamming them in the Spikes. Maybe dealing a stacking effect that increases the consecutive damage received if you remain/move around certain amount of time in the Spikes zone and an extra one for each Whirlwind slam while affected.
i think Skarmory should have some Steel moves like Steel wing

Well yeah, but Brave Bird is very good paired with Roost.
And Spikes (Stealth Rock is better, but there's two already in UNITE) and Whirlwind too.
Those four moves are basically the tried and true move set for Skarmory, even if not as good anymore.
Maybe Steel wing is a good option, and leaving a facsimile of Brave Bird for the Unite move.

Ive been playing it and it still works very well and is very annoying for attackers and all rounders because of the freeze, i have games where i just solo defend a lane the entire match and the rest of the team kills the other lane XD

A defender I'd LOVE to see added is Guzzlord. I imagine it would have a similar gimmick to Cho'gath from LoL, where it grows in size and stats with a stackable resource.

(Defender )
Passive- Bulletproof: Reduces basic attack damage taken by 10% additionally generates a shield equal to 4% of your max Hp every 5 seconds this shield can stack on itself to a maximum of 12% Max Hp.
Boosted- Every third attack is boosted dealing increased damage, and shoving the target a short distance.
Move set #1- Iron Defence: Doubles your defense stat & creates a shield equal to 16% of your max Hp lasts for 6 seconds.
Spiky Shield: Create a shield equal to 20% of your max Hp & reflects any damage the shield takes to a limited range. Upgrade reduces cooldown if the shield is destroyed by Hammer Arm & increases the shield to equal 24%Max Hp.
Leech Seed: Throw out a large square shaped AoE that lasts 4 Sec slowing enemies by 40% and dealing damage every 0.5 seconds equal to 20% chesnaught's attack + .5% Chesnaught's max Hp healing chesnaught equal to 100% of damage if standing on AoE and 40% if not. Upgrade slightly increase the radius and the damage ticks every 0.4Sec instead of 0.5 Sec.
Move set #2- Vine Whip: Send vines into the ground then they spring out of the ground at the selected location where they restrain the target for 0.8 second and deal damage.
Wood Hammer: Slam the ground dealing damage and throwing all enemies forward while simultaneously vines form a wall a distance away from chesnaught ready to catch/restrain (0.8 Sec) all throw enemies and enemies already at this location. Upgrade increases damage.
Hammer Arm: The user leaps into the air and slams down, launching enemies in all directions and dealing damage, if chesnaught has any shield while using this move they are consumed and damage is increased equal to them. Upgrade reduces cooldown.
Unite Move- Forest Fortress: Chesnaught summon a large tree while chesnaught or chesnaughts allys are within a certain distance of the tree they gain 2x Def/SpDef, +20% Att/SpAtt and regenerate 200HP as if they where at a goal additionally chesnaught is unstoppable last 8 sec.

Passive- Weak Armor: Increase attack speed and movement speed by 1% for every 3% of missing Hp. (Note: Cap speed increases at 25%.)
Boosted- Every Fifth attack is a boosted Dealing 50% increased damage, and kicking sand blinding the target for .75 Sec.
Move set #1- Lear: Create a cone of effect any enemies hit will have their Def/SpDef and Movement Speed reduced by 20% for 5 Sec.
Spikes: create upto 3 lines of invisible Spikes that slow and damage enemies that walk on them. Upgrade the Spike now also blinds targets persisting for 1.5 Sec after walking off spikes.
Metal Sound: Creates an aura around the user lasting for 7 Sec that drastically reduces Def/SpDef (35%) and movement speed/attack speed(20%). Upgrade increases effects to 45% instead of 35% and 25% instead of 20%. (Animation of screeching)
Move set #2- Peck: The user quickly dashes forward dealing two basic attacks before returning to its original location and also gains a 7%Max Hp shield while move is in effect.
Steel Wing: Quickly dashes a short distance dealing damage and holds upto three charges creates a shield equal to 15% Max Hp while the dash is in effect. Upgrade now shoves the first enemy hit.
Fly: Grab a target within melee range then fly into the sky. Both you and the target become Immune to damage and barriers as you get 3 seconds to move before slamming the enemy into the ground and landing. You will be slowed by 20% and the enemy will be stunned for the duration. Upgrade increases the duration to 5 seconds.
Unite Move- Swooping Harassment: Fly into the air becoming Immune to all effects then aim a dive bombing attack that deal AoE damage and knock up targets before moving to the selected location you can dive bomb upto 3x before landing.
That fly would be so broken. It looks more like a Unite move.
@Birruaze Idk you put I 10sec cooldown on it & make it do ok damage & make it a sure hit so you can't use it unless you can aim it on an enemy. I think it would be fine. There are multiple pokemon that can move others players agains their will without a unite move. Ex: Both Mewtwo's, Buzzwole, Sableye, Blastoise, Trevenant. The main thing tanks do is take damage & CC this would enable you to grab a single target both of you would temporarily be out of the fight then some damage do slightly relocated (I even slowed your movement while flying)

I am thankfull that you made this build but for me the build doesnt work. I can only deal one hit with waterpuls then i need to survive many seconds after i get the next waterpuls...the enemy team takes me out so easily

With it being so widely used in Gen 7 and 8, I think Toxapex would be a good choice for a defender.

I really love Lapras and I’m always looking for content but a lot of it just says stuff like what Jake said in how we don’t use her if she’s not broken but then don’t exactly explain how to use current Lapras. Like I’d use her more if I knew how to properly use her in this state cause let’s be honest she doesn’t tank or heal like she used to so I’m now in this state where I have to relearn limits.
Side note: I’d really Really REALLY love for Skeledirge to be added as a defender. We already got Meowscarada and soon Ceruledge why not a Paldean defender?
Also this is not meant to be an insult to Spragels in any way shape or form, but I look to this kind of content more for educational purposes just to see if I can potentially gain and apply what I’m watching

Attack weight and cookie is best on him, 3rd you can have any like resonant guard or focus band. You can last long time with pain split. One match I did 113k damage and tank 118k damage. Pretty good match
I want ANY defenders on my team! I want to play anything else sometimes too guys, or support for that matter. This game feels like overwatch lately where it's just nothing but DPS on my team and super balanced comp on the other.

But does Unite really base off that decision on typing advantages?
