Recently started playing darts again (actually started again a few weeks into lockdown) and Bob's 27 didn't really help me so i thought ii would put the game that helped me the most here for anyone who wants to use it,
the game is really really simple. you have to hit all the double and triples on the number starting with 1 and working through to 20 with at least 3 darts. if both are not hit with one set of darts throw again until both are hit in the same set then move on and repeat until all doubles and triples have been hit.
its literally the same concept but with triples lmao. the only way to prac doubles is just keep throwing at doubles.
The around the board "double or nothing" training game definitely helped me improve my doubles more than Bobs27. I like to start with that beforehand.

It's quite a good idea that easy mode, for trainning the original Bob's 27 you definitely need high level hitting doubles. That's why I prefer Game 420 for double's practice.

I’m a darts noob. I’m enjoying the tips and the app. Also noted your throw style. Kind of a leveraged push - which makes more sense to me than the catapult, forearm only throw I’ve seen described in tip videos.

I tried out the dartcounter app for a 301 game and I saw that even at an average of 20 (lowest setting) the computers check out percentage is still between 8 and 10 percent. As a total beginner my checkout percentage is 3, that's quite a big difference.
After 2.5 years- Im still pretty lousy on doubles even though I practice daily and use training games on the dart counter app. I find that im lousiest at throwing doubles when Im playing an 01 game. My check-out rate is just dreadful and I always end up all the way down to needing the double on a single digit number. Ive tried playing with people via online global a few times but im so bad at the 01 games its embarrassing. Oddly, I have found that people who prefer to play x01 games also have an aversion to playing cricket and say they're terrible at it. I dont get that. Im pretty bad ass at cricket but somehow those cricket numbers offer little saving grace in other games.

When it comes to Bull. Is the 25 worth anything or you have to hit the actual bulls eye? Thanks
In a regular darts match you have to hit a double to finish a leg, so for instance, when you have got 50 points left, 2x 25 won't give you the win as these are single numbers.
I just started playing darts a month ago and I have a hard time finishing with doubles. I always end up putting a hole in the wall, but when I’m trying to hit trebles I always hit the doubles 🤦🏻♂️

You have strange throwing technic but you hit a target good...
i can hit doubles all day long doing that but in a real game you can't go for say double 2 hit 17 and continue to go for 2. i get what your trying but what i do is go round the board in quarters......1 to 6 1st quarter then 10 - 3 and so forth. only counting the darts thrown outside the wire.

web depends on many factors such as, but not limited to, your location, the seller, item availability, item sales quantity, shipping conditions (such as this pandemic we're currently facing) & much more I'm not sure of. some things are taking longer than others to ship since the breakout.

I got my blade 5 dartboard a week before lockdown from Argos and it is a great way to pass time, if you're a amazon prime member you will get deliveries fairly quickly compared to non prime members, or you can buy from Argos and get it delivered to Sainsbury's for collection 👍🏻

My problem is much the opposite, I can usually hit most of the doubles but it takes me about 20 darts to get to them 😐

This sounds way too complicated - it is better to practice double combinations - abaolutely makes no sense to practice doubles this way as this will not simulate match situations.
