I first discovered VIM a little over a decade ago. Bought a set of torx bit sockets branded Durston. They were sold by a third party and were CrV steel and not particularly good. I called Durston to warranty them, and the rep told me the third party requested CrV because it was cheaper, and I should check out the VIM branded versions made of S2 tool steel. Bought the torx and hex master sets. What really impressed me was that VIM said they’d warranty any bit or bit socket even if used on an impact, no questions asked. And they had the replacements for that original set to me in 2 days. Been a fan ever since.

Crv is for cold weather use. anywhere stuff even drilling rigs are used in real cold, as strength drops fast after minus 30 (oil patch) ,the tool to a drill rig uses Crv steel.

I watch Den of tools. ❤️. Den of tools how I found you. I really am impressed with your transparency. To be truthful I’m so use to companies creating a marketing language that’s not transparent that you have to constantly have to read between the lines to try to determine is the product everything they say it is. Actually communicating and explaining rationally,,,, like I’m sitting relaxing in a chair in the same room is so refreshing ,,,,,,, it is so not the norm. You have made a new customer.

If only more RUclips channels and brands could be as respectful and discuss things like adults. Between you guys and Jeff at @DenofTools there are at least a few in the tool game that can. I'm sure there are more, but seems like most just name call and insult and are hard to listen to for more than a couple of minutes. Everyone can teach AND learn something no matter how much they think they know.
Glad to see many being respectful in that process.

Great explanation of your family’s company, as I’m a follower of the den of tools I took interest in his deep dive of your company and you’re probably right about the amount of time he spent doing research especially going back to the 1930s. Always nice to see an American company doing well and also interesting to note that you actually are producing some stuff here in North America. If you’re interested in bringing back more production to North America I hear there’s a nice new plant in Texas that just got abandoned!😂 good luck in your future endeavors, Mike from Montreal.

It’s the ethos of a tool company that makes it what it is, Japanese company’s usually make one type of thing so it’s the best possible product like Koken, and Fujia, the only difference is instead of of making it they get it made by people who are the best at making it and sell it themselves add their style of open public communication the skies the limit for them

I was also curious, and have heard good things about the products you sell, but have never tried any of them. I won't hesitate to try them now and will subscribe to learn more about your tools going forward. In all fairness, your rapid growth should be transparent as well as admired. There are so many foreign companies who do not disclose who the really are that are less than ethical. They seem to appear out of nowhere and are instantly a big player on a global level. If I had to guess, the reason they try to remain invisible is because they are constantly staying one step ahead of the lawsuits that inevitably follow them.

I started selling VIM tools through a wholesaler I deal with. I started selling VIM through them because I had a few unique VIM tools of my own that I like. Seeing a response like this from a company is kind of nice. Started at the JDTco, then Den of Tools, and now here. I will say, how can Den of Tools not know about VIM... thats mind-blowing.
Like this content! Keep up the great work 🤙

I loved this. I happen to be in the ever decreasing percentage of people left with a long attention span, so the length doesn't bother me; it's always about the content for me. I personally would like to see more of this type of content from you guys.

Great video, honestly probably two of my favorite videos ever! I follow both VIM and Den of Tools and this was an awesome interaction. So much on social media and RUclips is just opinion based or not very factual, Its pretty cool to see kind of a back and forth conversation I guess you could call it between two very popular pages. No hate or bashing on either side just facts and speculation clearly stated and discussed or replied to. Right on!

I have heard of you guys before but I havent thought much of it. I figured you guys were just another off brand manufacturer. With this video and den of tools. Im definitely more interested in filling my box with your tools. I also really appreciate the social media presence alot! Interaction and seeing the face of the company does a lot in building trust.

Great response to Jeff's video. I have had the opportunity to meet you guys at SEMA a few times now and can say that you guys are as respectful and passionate in person as you were in this video. Looking forward, is VIM able to manufacture tools in the USA aside from the bits? None of this made in USA with global components crap that SBD likes to do.

Thank you. I am very impressed. Obviously you guys are young, but not inexperienced. You explained things well, cleared up misconceptions, and represented your company and yourselves very well. I'm sure your Dad is proud of you and can be very confident in turning it over to you in the future. It comes through that you are very passionate about your work and keeping up the high level of quality in your tools.

Hey guys. Mr Bear as we refer to Jeff as. He suggested and linked this video. I am pleased to see your response of his video. I subscribed for that reason. Letting the dog stay in the video is a plus. I would guess NDA agreements prevent you from saying who you make tools for,so I won’t ask. Great job.

I'd never heard of Vim before watching his video on y'all but between his video and your response I'm definitely going to check y'all out.
I like to work on my own cars as a hobby and I always could use more tools. I'll check out that catalog later today.

How did you guys get the Robo Grip patent from Craftsman? A coworker “lost” my Robo Grip that used to belong to my dad. Been wanting to get one off of eBay, but one day I saw on my Gearwrench dealer’s truck had the Orca/Robo Grip. I had to have it, glad you guys make it now.
