One thing I do like in this game over COTW, is the fact you're not finding animals every two seconds. You actually have to put in a decent amount of effort into finding them.
I've gotten 5 legandary elk 2 big horn sheep and 2 boars and lots more legandaries in hunting sim 2 I only put the animals name if I have gotten more then 1

Since the last time I tried to use a DLC weapon (drilling rifle) in a multiplayer setting, It did not function properly due to a bug, I have really lost interest in "New content", atleast until they pay more focus to fixing the bugs the game seems to still be riddled with. So I have not paid much attention to any COTW news for a few months now. I just play it and cross my fingers I can make it through a hunt with out some random bug. So far no luck.
I do not know. I am not in contact with the developer and I do not own a switch. If I had to guess, there is no difference between the PC and Console versions as far as game mechanics go, so I would hazard a guess that all fur variants are available on console as well.
This game is so addictive. Just bought it Saturday, and pulled an all-nighter playing it. Haven't done that in years...

And we have actual name brand guns like Winchester

legendary animals are availible on switch. I played on switch and hunted 19 legendary animals before restarting game
