Alternatively, you can use a program like Aiko (free) or MacWhisper (Freemium) to generate subtitles for your videos. They use various OpenAI Whisper models and the whole processing is done locally, on your Mac (which you seem to be using). On my Mac Mini with M2, it takes about 4-5 minutes to generate subtitles for a 10 minute video. You can export it as a .srt file or a plain text document.
I write scripts for my other channel vids and I copy/paste the words into the auto sync box. Then I have to go through and fix all the timings. So a ten min vid could take me 50 mins to correct, and my 28min vids take me 2hrs and 45 mins!! It's exhausting.
🟣I use Descript to easily create accurate subtitles for my RUclips videos! Give Descript a try here: www.descript.com?lmref=WoI_DQ
Thank you so much! Will be using this asap! Welcome back!!!!
