- Here is a simple way to repair a broken expression pedal and make it much stronger at the same time. Sure beats sending the Helix out for service for a month and getting a new case that is also destined to break like the last one.

You Sir, are a Saint!! Thank you!!
½ way through my gig last night, I’m thinking, damm!!!!! Gonna need a new pedal. Luckily I’m a bit handy and promised to look at it today. Last night before I went to bed I put in a search for” broken helix expression pedal”. Your video came up, and after watching could not wait to get up this morning and get mine apart. Lo and behold an exact carbon copy of the problem in your vid. Just wanna say thank you. After 3 to 4 hours later, sorted. Thanks again
Rock on!
Many thanks! Very clear and methodical video! I can now wipe the sweat off from my head and rinse the towel into a bucket! I hope line 6 will reward you for showing them the flaw in their product and how to build a stronger version! Wish you good fortune health and strength going forward! 😊
Do you mind telling me what size of screws and knobs you used for the 4 screws?
Ur hired as line 6 designer🎸😎
Thank you so much for making this video! I’ve had this problem and wasn’t exactly sure how to go about fixing it myself until watching this. I’m even capable with hand tools and was just alittle nervous about taking my helix apart. Thanks again!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for this. My LT has just broken this way so will have to use an external pedal for tonight’s gig then try this fix next week!
So very helpful! I experienced exact the same problem. Now it's fixed and working 100%. Many thanks 🙂
Great to hear!
Thanks for the video, I just finished fixing mine and the video helped me a lot. The only thing that took me a lot of time was making the bracket, three fail attempts and got right at the fourth one.
Great! It took me a few tries to get a bracket I liked, so you did well!
Do you mind telling me what size of screws and knobs you used for the 4 screws?
Excellent video. Thank you.
Nice work! Thanks!
Mine just broke today. I haven't opened it up yet, but I'm sure this is the exact problem. I don't know if I have the tools necessary to do this yet. I'm bummed - I haven't used the pedal very much, but I have noticed that it seemed to have gotten harder to work lately and I figured it might need adjustment or lubrication. If I hadn't procrastinated maybe I wouldn't be in the situation now... although, judging by your video and others, it was always a disaster waiting to happen.
Merci beaucoup pour ce tuto !
Je l'ai fait avec du titane au moins ça risque pas de casser à l'avenir 😂
Thanks for your vidéo, good job
Pretty usefull thank's
Great, can't wait to try it
Finally got around to doing it today. Thanks for the video. It works!!!!!!
Thank you!
THANK YOU!!!
Hi the video is great, help me a lot, so i have my braket but now, the values Rangers are more short, maybe i need to chance the baket again? Or you know a Easy to adjust the Range of the pedal manually? Thanks!
It sounds like you made the bracket a bit too short. It's important to match the locations of the holes in the new bracket with the old bracket. Don't be afraid to try make another bracket until you get it to work!
Hello can you suggest where can but the LCD for helix Lt pls
Hi, I have a helix floor with this problem: it loses the input signal, the signal goes in fits and starts, the symbol on the input display flashes red, then it starts working again for a while, sometimes it works for hours and then repeats the problem. Lately it also crashes, meaning the large display turns off and all the small displays start flashing. What could it be? I was thinking about the power supply, thanks for any response
A power supply will normally just quit, rather than becoming intermittent. The crashes and loss of input signal makes me suspect the main CPU. In either case, I hope you got good mileage out of it, it might be time to upgrade.
Hi, would you consider in possibly selling a replica of the bracket you created in the video?
i would buy one!
Id buy!!!
I fourth this notion good sir!!
Hi ,where do i get the braked??
I just formed a scrap of steel with a hammer. If needed, you can buy brackets for 2x4 lumber at Home Depot. Something like this: www.homedepot.ca/product/simpson-strong-tie-4-x-4-joist-hanger/1000411704

Is it possible that you can build me the same ? Please :) would pay for that great idea but I can’t build that -.- … greetings from Germany please write me
Show this video to any handyman with metalworking skills in Germany. It's easy to do if find anyone handy with tools, and cheaper than the nightmare of trying to ship the Helix to Canada and back!
@@caraudioschool thx man, my dad can do that but he live far away from my home…Can I send me the Dimensions of the plate and thickness in millimeters or in Zoll than I can convert & than I can send it to my dad to build it … drilling the holes is bin problem for me
