@@ZRHSPOTTER-sw3ot And the commenters in Avherald agree with your wind assessment. They're speculating a premature rotation due to wrong speeds in the Flysmart app, or wrong MCDU speed entry. And they were running out of runway too.
the tailwind should be like 30kt to do something like that. Don’t forget that all TO performance calculations are based on engine failure scenario. Moreover I don’t know software for Airbus but in Boeing’s OPT is stated that if wind is low use -5kt wind for calculations to cover possible wind change to tailwind. I can’t really understand how tailwind let’s say 10kt may create this kind of subperforming takeoff. Probably not
1. Great catch! :) 2. If you look at the steam coming out of the chimney at 0:31, there seems to be a slight tailwind coming from the aft, left hand side. A sudden increase/gust at or right after v2 is not what you want on a heavy rotating a340 and this is my best guess at what is the situation here seems to be. A slight pitch down and perhaps max thrust, is the the corrective measure, but I am also going to make another guess here...and that is a change of controls was initiated where a "my aircraft" was given by the captain - hence the abrupt change in aircraft movements. As for the a340...once in the air and the airflow is significant...it will stay in the air....!
A340 Pilot: Looks like incorrect loadsheet CG (center of gravity) leading to incorrect stab trim OR crew set incorrect stab trim, based on the subsequent large nose up elevator imputs required to maintain T/O pitch attitude. If the stab trim was set for too much pitch up, it just takes a small input to start the rotation and you need to set the correct attitude. The automatic trim will set to the correct value when airborne based on sensor data.
The crew reported a tailwind while speeding up. It is very likely that this led to a lower airspeed, which resulted in an early rotation, whereupon the nose was lowered again for acceleration as a reaction.

Well recorded video. Lots of A340's doing late rotations here on RUclips, though this one is particularly bad, since the pilot rotated far too early, which increased drag and he was lucky to bounce once lightly back onto the tarmac and still get away with it after lowering his angle of attack. The small diameter engined A340's are notoriously underpowered, a bit like the earliest B707's with pure jet engines. The Comet 1, incidentally, had as one of its fatal flaws a dangerous failure to take off at all if rotated too early or too much.

holy shit, someone entered the wrong takeoff config numbers.. and that is also why there is no rush to raise the gear after takeoff until positive rate of climb is sustained
thank you very much for watching - that could maybe the reason
Might sound a bit dumb here but surely raising the landing gear would increase lift and performance giving a better climb??
And would make the plane hull to touch ground . Never raise the gear until positively in a climb with min 20-30 ft radio altimeter height
