My great great grandfather was supposed to go on the return trip to Sweden on the Titanic! But then he found out it sank so he traded his ticket to go on another ship instead! If it was the other way around and he was on the ship and died that night, I would not be here right now! R.I.P to all the victims! None of them will ever be forgotten! 🌹
God, every time I go back to this video, the part where we see the pictures of all the victims as the ship sinks in the background always gives me the chills
It’s so good edited that I can’t help watching this video. In the meantime I can’t help feeling that terrible feeling. What a tragedy for the people on the board to experience.
Yes, they were some of the prominent passengers and crew that died alongside the Titanic. To name a few shown, they were: Edward Smith (captain), Thomas Andrews (head carpenter of Titanic), Joseph Bell (chief engineer), J.J. Astor (richest man on the ship), Jack Phillips (Marconi operator on Titanic), and Wallace Hartley (leader of the music band).
i've got all the dvd of the titanic films including the first one(a night to remember) and i know exactly where this one came from Ghost of the Abyss made in 2001 but came out in 3D a couple of years back
The ship was safe, so to speak. But what it teaches them, is not to go out with too many passengers, not to go out with too few lifeboats, not to send out lifeboats unless they're at capacity, and not to cheap out during the construction of the vessel.
How was it too many passengers? The ship still had enough cabins available for about 1,100 more people. For the time how did they have too few lifeboats? LEGALLY speaking the Titanic had MORE lifeboats (20) than the Board of Trade said ships over 10,000 tons had to have (16), and that's without considering how at the time people thought of lifeboats only as a way to ferry people to rescue ships NOT as the only option. DID YOU EXPECT THEM TO WAIT FOR PEOPLE ON THE BOAT DECK TO WANT TO GET OFF THE SHIP BEFORE LAUNCHING THEM?! THAT WOULD'VE JUST RESULTED IN MORE DEATHS!!! YOU DO KNOW THAT THE LAST TWO BOATS BASICALLY FLOATED AWAY EITHER CAPSIZED OR HALF FLOODED, HOW MUCH OF A SHIT STORM DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE IF THEY WAITED FOR EVERYONE TO WANT TO GET OFF?! They didn't cheap out on construction, everything they did or didn't have was by the standards and thoughts of the day, if it was cheap like you people think than Olympic would've sank after the collision with the Hawk. Hindsight is a 20/20 bitch.
Some of my distant cousins lost their lives that night. Some are shown on here. John Jacob Astor IV Bessie Waldo Allison Loraine Allison Hudson Allison. And not pictured. Edith Evans.
I'm crying now just seeing what happened to the other people that didn't survied and we study all about the Titanic at school for 4 weeks . if i was on the Titanic i wouldn't if i die as long as i see he Lord then i die

The sad thing is that's not all the people that died that was just some many more were lost.
That's the saddest scene in any Titanic movie, to see all the 1,496 people who perished It's so sad.
The most corect number is 1.500
@@gatoconstrutor9101 1,500 is actually an approximation. 1,496 is currently the most accurate number.
This was from Ghosts of the Abyss, an absolute masterpiece of a documentary. I would highly recommend watching it.
I think the 1997 Movie really puts in the Horror of the Titanic's Final Moments.
Look at the 2012, it’s more accurate Lighting-wise,
when Jack yells “this is it” as the stern starts to go under
I feel sorry for the 1,500 people that died
