I got a 3D printer this year and I printed some nice holiday themed cookie cutters for these. Can't wait to make them!
Ty for recipe.
I let cookie cooled down then spraying with layer clear spray paint on each side. Then let dry over night, before mixing glue and baking soda to represent the cookie frosting. If I need color I add bit acrylic paint to the mix. Dry cookies with hair dryer then sprayed both side 3x times with clear spray paint.
Last step was either hang ornament in tree or let cookies dry on table overnight before wrapping it up as gift.
These are so cute! 🥰
If the dough is 1/4 inch, do you recommend 1 hour bake time?
And, if not fabric paint, what kind of paint would be best?
I’ve never worked with salt dough before.
Would you mind sharing what cookie cutter set you used??
How long do these retain their scent? I decided to be a complete lunatic and put my Christmas tree up before Halloween this year and right now it's just sitting undecorated until I make these and some of the other things I plan to make for decoration (popcorn and cranberry strings, cinnamon sticks, maybe dried oranges). If I make them now, which is Halloween, would they still have any scent at all by Christmas? Or should I wait until closer to Christmas to make them so they smell nice when everyone is here to unwrap gifts?
I saw this over on Instagram so came over here to get the recipe, thank you! Do they smell good season after season or just the first season?
They definitely lose their smell over time. I'm sure you you drop some essential oils on the back though to keep them smelling good!
