Good morning! Sunday night was another night the storms just went right around us in our protective bubble and hit Oak Island with extreme rain/wind bands, thunder and lightning! I could hear it coming, and see it go around us. As a crow flys, OKI is 10 minutes from me. We had maybe a 1/4 in of rain and they got over 2 inches. Blows my mind everytime, lol
Mississippi Gulf Coast here wanting to Hi & God Bless. Also wanted to say thank you to Mitch. I have come to depend on your channel for tropical updates but I must say, I used to check updates several times a day but with this season thus far, I am shocked by the lack of activity in the tropics. I know the season is nowhere near over, but I am enjoying the "nonpanic" mode I have felt so far!!! ( Knock on wood). I'm still praying for no major storms, though, because ya never know!!!! I used to live in Southbury Connecticut, and they got flooded so bad. Oxford, Connecticut also got it pretty bad and I think two women died being swept away from the floodwaters. It’s very sad. Sending prayers to everybody in Connecticut! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Our snows as of late, as come in January love it but to brief wish we get snow more then in just one month. Thanks for the Update, Mitch. Here in Northern Maine we’re seeing a cool and drizzly day with only a high of 60 degrees so far. We are beginning to experience some hints of color change in just a few of the trees such as some of the maples. Usually from what I’ve noticed the color change progresses really slow until about mid to late September when they usually start to change really fast.
The remnants of Ernesto are actually headed for my neck of the woods - the UK. It happens pretty much every year and It’s never a really serious thing, although I think we did have some people die last year in Ireland because of storm surge. Hawaii drought.. we have some chances with tropical cyclones that may head to the islands. Below avg bcz of Lanina with cooler waters and the time is now for t.s as it will decrease later. Good morning Mitch, I went deep sea fishing yesterday and I have a question for you. Is it normal for the humidity to be so high of fthe coastal waters? Our boat meter recorded a humidity value almost 80% percent. We were about 15 miles away from the shore of Georgia. And the water temperature was 85.3* degrees. Just the ocean air! Moisture coming off the ocean. That's why Florida is so humid, they are literally surrounded just about on all sides haha
