Scorpion isn't viable at all anymore, which is a shame. NRS should have worked to buff the bottom tier to make a well rounded cast of usable characters at the top level instead of cherry picking characters to get hit by the nerf-hammer to please the casuals (Deathstroke, Scorpion, etc.)

Using Scorpion didn't ruin the tournament, there were plenty of other Scorpion users there and they didn't say that he was banned from the tournament, so broken or not win is a win.

But that didn't stop some players picking up mid to low tiers and dominating games before (HeyGeorge playing Jacqui in Mkx and Rangchu playing Panda in Tekken 7). It is ultimately up to the game creators to see a pattern and give buffs to the needed characters. The scene would have lasted way longer.
