So glad you came! My daughter and I endured this 3-day monsoon and enjoyed every minute. Ran into the AMG-PETRONAS team at a Bob Evans restaurant at the Austin airport, the next day (Monday). Best photos of the whole weekend! Already have tix and hotel resevations for 2016!
+Paul Bradford They turn them on when it's raining so you can see them better... If you are right behind a car that splashes up water, you cant see anything.
+Paul Bradford He's right about it being a visibility/warning light in the rain, but also you may see it flashing in the dry too. When its flashing in the dry it actually means that its harvesting energy for the ERS system.
BounceZoneHq: I thought there was something more to it than just brake lights in the rain because I'd notice the lights flashing when some cars are accelerating or slowing down without apparent use of the brakes. Thanks very much for the additional clarification - I appreciate it.
Yes, he drove well all year (except for Hungary where he made a bunch of rookie mistakes). Rosberg wasn't fast enough this year, so Hamilton's WDC is deserved. BUT: I was talking about this specific race. So, why do I think his win in this race was undeserved? Well, because Rosberg was doing better. Hamilton only won because of Rosberg's stupid rookie error. You get my point?
+kRewe Lewis is the better driver. Say what you want about him and his personality but he vastly out performs Rosberg in the same exact car. That alone speaks volumes.
You didn't even read my second comment. I said that Hamilton is the deserved champion of 2015, but he didn't deserve the win in the US GP, he only won this particular race because of Rosberg's mistake.
I was there! Brilliant race. Travelled from England to watch it.

Okay, educate me here: What's the purpose/function of the flashing red light in the back of the car? Thanks.

umm, can anyone tell me what that weird sound is? is it KERS? I'm new to f1 btw.
can u be more specific
Umm, that electronic type of sound, when they are cornering
It's the v6 turbo sound, I guess
it could be the ERS the MGU-K or the MGU-H.
its most likely the battery they charge throughout the race to give them power from the hybrid engine.
Undeserved win by Lewser.
+kRewe I'd like to know why you think it was undeserved? He drove very well all year.
