Sergeants mail with deadly strike is the usual heavy attack set up that I know of. Sergeants builds stacks on heavy attacks increasing damage and of course lightning staff heavy attack is a channel so deadly increases the damage of heavy’s as well.

Sergeant with Grave Inevitabilty + Oakensoul Ring i use on Magsorc. But for PvE solo

Sergeants mail or Noble Duelist over Way of Fire. Fire could work if you add in a DoT to keep that pressure up. Increasing the base damage of heavy attack gets multiplied a lot when everything is said and done. Also 1pc Chudan also works well since you don't really need any other 1pc bonus. Trainee could also work depending.
Edit: Also less roll dodge, more blocking. You also need more health to push up shield value. Your squishiness is a skill issue ;)

Oblivion damage builds are fun in sorc-meta. Add Sloads and Oblivion weapon enchants to your Knightslayer setup! They all bypass shields

Yeah I tried a HA build once running sergeants mail and knight slayer along with oakensoul. It was decent at best but didn't really like the playstyle tbh xD
