Congratulations on reaching the final! You gave an exceptional performance of Hubay Carmen Fantasie Brilliante starting at 18:55 which everyone really enjoyed very much. Bravo!

The level of the competitors in this semifinal is absolutely fantastic. This young girl is perhaps my favourite...Great playing of The J Hubay Carmen Fantasie Brilliante. Or perhaps my vote goes to Kevin Miura? Or somebody else? Johan from Sweden? I can't decide! The final will be interesting, although I would have wished for something more challeging than Vivaldi in the final. Vivaldi is to easy for these superstars, but let's see what the can make out of Vivaldi

She was my favorite in the 1st round. Kevin Miura was my favorite in the 2nd round. Very happy they both entered the final round.

+ciaccona1 After listening again, I think Kevin Miura gets my vote. He seems to be so mature and confident in his playing, he is already a true proffessional. His musicality is outstanding. Technically I think they are both equal. In the final it will about musicallity, because Vivaldi is "easy" stuff. Remember that the members of the jury will take all of the performances into account (1st round, semifinal and final) when they make their decisions.

+Erik Nystrom Kevin definitely gets my vote in the 2nd round. Breathtaking performance of Beethoven. He demonstrated a romantic Beethoven. Others more a classical Beethoven. (Both are fine but his performance really caught my heart.) Kang showed great musicality in her performance of Bach and Gried in the 1st round, less so in the 2nd round. I can't yet decide who is musically more captivating. Can't wait to hear the final round! (Hmmm, but I really don't like Vivaldi. Apart from being technically easy for these kids, it is musically less interesting.)

+ciaccona1 Yes, we seem to agree. Perhaps one has heard the Vivaldi to many times! Makes it less interesting. Right now I'm following the seniors. I'll be back with comments on that later, but 1 thing I have to say now: Bela Bartok, solo sonata: I don't understand the music. For me it's random notes without melody.....Sorry, you might have a different opinion!

+Erik Nystrom I didn't get to listen to the senior semi-final. (had to work). Will make up tonight. But just caught the result announcement. Very glad my favorite Yu-ting Chen and 2nd-favorite Jeein Kim got in.

good work dear...a poem I wrote...fits for you... "Music"
    Given, felt, shared, heard,
    And understood by all,
    Music cries out our joys,
    And our aching hearts,
    For music is loves voice,
Giving us all a sweet heart.
