Pertussis (whooping cough) is no joke…I wouldn’t wish it on anyone in the world.
I was 29, incredibly fit, healthy and pregnant and had pertussis…the coughing was so heavy that every time I coughed it caused my bladder to trickle and resulted in my sitting on the toilet for hours, I was unable to catch my breath…and the impact on my body was enormous. I’ve had a heart condition ever since.
Before rejecting immunisation think of the impact it may have on others and make it a balanced decision.

I had cough for few weeks, but doctors diagnosed me with "maybe asthma". Only after I had a seizure episode and ended in hospital, they've done an MRI and discovered some abnormality in my brain. At least 2 doctors with a high reputation were certain it was some kind of cancer. Then the results came negative and I've done tests for few diseases including pertussis, which I tested positive for. Now the latest theory is encephalopathy caused by it, which is not fun, cause there're nearly no well recorded cases of it, especially in adults.
Edit: turned out to be a brain tumor anyway.

Im sorry to hear that... do you mind sharing what kind of tumor is it, and in which stage?

@@Spark-pv9js Hi, it turned out to be a glioblastoma (stage 4), but it's not that simple too, because there are different types and mutations, mine is called pediatric glioblastoma, which is apparently ultra rare, plus it mostly happens in children, thus the name, but treatment giving the best prognosis is pretty much known (I already had a surgery and now I'm at week 5 out of 6 of radio-chemotherapy, but the whole thing is much longer and I have 99% chance of the tumor recurring and having to go through the whole process again). The good thing is I that my professor just happened to have had a patient with the same rare mutation (I'm not even sure if it's called mutation or type or whatever, I learned about it like 2 days ago), which is incredibly lucky, because nobody new about the new results, before choosing the hospital and my leading professor.

@@follow6460 that is very unfortunate, i wish you all the best and sending thoughts and prayers. With modern medicine advancements and personalized therapies there are greater chances of recoveries and remissions.
How old are you now if i may ask

@@Spark-pv9js Thanks for the kind word, I'm 21 and I'm looking forward to taking new and more targeted therapies, I found a few places in UK and USA (I live in Poland) , but it's a complicated topic, a lot of doctors to consult, a lot of stress, also I still need to gather like a million for even start thinking about starting one of them, but it's going in a good direction I think.

I had whooping cough back in 2018, I was due for another boaster vaccine soon but hadn't got it yet. Becuase I still had my vaccine I had a 'mild' case, but 3 months after catching it I was still coughing. 6 months after whooping cough I was told I had medium to severe asthma. I still have many inhalers and have weak lungs so I am at a higher risk to COVID-19. Moral of the story, vaccinate your kids!
