Hey Sean- the le danse piqued my interest a few years ago, but never fully incorporated it into my swing. After watching your videos I have tried to implement most of what you teach, even purchased a swing caddy. Been playing over 40 years and have never hit my irons better. I will try this grip at the range today. Thanks again!

Thanks Darko for your comment and delightd to hear the Easiest Swing is working for you
Hi Seàn According to Wild Bill Mehlhorn Vardon recommended this exercise for the first 6 swings of the day. I’ve tried it with a SwingRite but not with a proper club as yet. But I will after watching this video. Thanks Rupert Cotton

You have his book then. Let me know how you get on with a proper club.
Great video Sean. What setting was the caddy on at the start. I’ve tried this before and I can confirm it brings out “your” real swing but I never felt I could hit a ball with it as I could not perform it at speed. You demo with the clubs was very impressive. The action looked really pure and it was evident that you were swinging at a very respectable speed. How you held on with just finger and thumb while hitting those shots I’ll never know. You could probably open beer bottles with a finger a thumb.😀

Thanks Ulster! I can`t remember the actual setting but I would say a high iron. I recommend you try soft lob wedge shots that fly 20 metres to begin with. I spent a long time around the short game area getting the feel for it.
@diougy0761- I was reading the comments about this video and saw you never received a reply, son I thought Id chime in. For me, this is an exercise that I use quite often, though to in play. However, if you do the exercise regularly, you'll get to feeling as though you'd be as good with it in pay as you are in practice. I hope you still follow Sean and Easiest swing and invite you to check out the Easiest Swing Club. Hope to see you there soon!
I stand corrected. So the amount of heel lift depends on how big of a turn you take. I seem to remember you saying that you don't consciously lift the heel, it lifts when it needs to?

@@thesquatch9363 You got it. Have a go, don´t take my word for it. You can really get a feel for this when you Danse ....
Th Easasiest Swing is a framework and La Danse is a feel excercise. Everyone's motion will be individual based on their body, experience, and past instruction. Let go of your tension and keep dancing, and you will feel what works for you.
It looks like in your practice swings you bend your left arm but when you actually hit shots your arm is pretty straight like a conventional swing. Am I missing something or is this an optical illusion?

Hi Larry, thanks for your comment. Yes my left arm does begin straight as I begin the backswing but at the top of the swing you will notice, if you pause it, that it is bent. If my left arm was straight at the top of the backswing I would feel tension. So for me it is enough to just keep it relaxed (not locked) and allow it to bend naturally whenever and however it wants to - rather than focusing on "trying to keep it straight" which creates the tension.
@ I agree Sean, what’s good for the goose it not necessarily good for the gander. Age, body shape and physical ability or disability play a large part. The swing developed by Brian Sparks when followed and practiced daily will produce an enjoyable game and lower your score.

@@richardc6932 Yes indeed Richard. Who among us mere mortals watching RUclips videos goes to the gym every day, hits a few hundred balls on the range, spends an hour or two putting and then plays a game of golf........Followed by a team of analysts assessing our every move? perfect Sean , i'm like you i let the club go too far behind (overswing) do you think that was bad for my swing? thank you

Hi Matt, I guess it depends how good your hands are to get the clubface back square to the ball in time. However, i saying that it is not something I recommend is to overswing.

So excited to have discovered your videos and others on FB site-at age 69! Thanks very much for these!
I never heard of this grip-exercise before. Pretty cool! Great work Sean! 👏🏻😎
I take u mean the rt fore finger and rt thumb to be sure?
It’s a great putting drill also. Teaches a release of the putter.
Yes it is!
Very well teach
Hello Sean, do you still do videos on youtube

I was concerned you might get into some technobabble about actually “staying on plane”, but I needn’t worry! Thanks.
it would be nice to have a tracer on your behind shots to see the movement of the ball. Just saying.....
You should be able to see the ball flight on a full screen.
I use the standard Vardon grip. Would you game the alternative or is it for the range only?

Good job 👍 Sean
Awesome!
Left heel stayed down on every wedge shot. So la danse doesn't apply to that?
Have a closer look and you will see it lifts slightly

@ thanks for the quick reply I’m going to give this a try
I notice your through swing is very close to your right hip. Is that an important feature of the Easiest Swing?
There are no features to an easiest swing because there is no one way. This is a philosophy. There is no one way to swing and hit a golf ball.

Will it work with the driver?
Sure, why wouldn't it? And yes, the Driver is less forgiving so there is less margin for error.
@ thanks mate
can you still interlock?
yes
