Kwame Nkrumah was a revolutionary who led Ghana to their independence from the Great Britian in 1957. He was also their first Prime Minister and President. He is highly revered across Africa on a similar status with Nelson Mandela of South Africa impact wise. Even Martin Luther King was said to have admired him especially his nonviolent activism.
