I was NOT disappointed with Obi-Wan I really liked it! The last fight was great! When Vader was screaming "Obi-Wan" with half Anakin's voice. What is not to love!
Agreed! I'm sure this guy Pixel Joker did an amazing job and put a lot of effort into this but an "Obi-Wan Remix" doesn't interest me, I was happy with what we got, a broken Obi-Wan, who had lost EVERYTHING, made sense to me. 🤷

I’ve been keeping up with this, and am incredibly excited to see it. I believe we’ll get the show that we should have gotten in the first place. Incredibly grateful to the people doing such incredible and hard work to bring this to us out of their own pockets. True fans who seem to be humble and appreciative of what they have and for their fans.

Why does Disney need to employ him? Do you desire to see his work dragged through the mud too? Are you under some sort of delusion that Disney would give this man free reign and he'd be anything but another cog in the machine. My wish is for all talented people to stay the hell away from big companies.
The irony is that he's already employed by Disney. He worked professionally on vfx for Andor season 1. I think maybe it was one of the reasons that influenced him to take this project on. Andor is an example of a Star Wars show with great vfx and story/world/character building, it was a show that got the deserved praise. I think that as he's a professional who has actual employment under Disney, he maybe feels like he should be responsible for giving Kenobi that same deserved love and praise
No, no they don't. They would bury his project, or worse, change it to suit their narrative - like they do with everything else they acquire.
They're more likely gonna try to shut this down because it makes them look bad. Hopefully not though.
Disney stays away from fans on purpose. That's a huge mistake. When I was building race cars, our customers always preferred I work on their cars instead of the other guys. Why? Cause unlike them, I was a HUGE fan of the cars themselves. It was more than just a job for me so I always put in 110%. Disney are you listening? Doubt it.......I am just a straight white male after all. What have we ever accomplished?

The side story with Leia was unnecessary. Ewan is such a good actor. He needed a one man play to allow us to witness Kenobi dealing with regret and PTSD. Dealing with regret at his failure to prevent Anakin’s fall to the dark side. But also a gnawing sense that he, Kenobi, had been an enabler and was also responsible (from a certain point of view) for the suffering Vader caused the galaxy. Slow burn at the beginning. Go All Lawrence of Arabia with wide desert shots emphasizing isolation and loneliness. Show conflict and bad feelings between Obi Wan and Owen Lars. Then new hope dialog makes more sense. Lots of meaningful flashbacks with Hayden, Yoda, Natalie. Maybe a damn fool crusade with Anakin flashback. Plot is Centered on Liam returning as a mentor. Action with light sabers only at the end. Should be emotional when Liam let’s Ewan know his work is done and now at up to you. Show Liam’s emotional misgivings for having forced Ewan to taking Hayden as an apprentice. But also Liam’s new omniscient perspective that this may have been a necessary means for balance to come to the force and rethinking of the Jedi order. So it means something. Kenobi is supposed to be hiding. So he should be quiet without a lot of adventures. Show how life on Tatooine aged Ewan to look more like Alec Guinness. Show how Kenobi picked back through his memories of Anakin to see clearly that the seeds of Vader were always there hidden in plain sight. Too cerebral? Maybe? But Star Wars fans are multi generational. Don’t dumb it down for us. I am in my 50s and have loved Star Wars since I was seven. Fans deserve quality Star Wars that is imaginative and great filmmaking. Quality and its risks will make money. Imagine how much more money Disney could have made if they realized Star Wars is not the MCU. If fans who had not loved Star Wars found it because it was good, instead of just milking the franchise because they know fans are starving for good Star Wars how much better would that have been? You got money Disney, hire the best.

Imagine that he’s close to completion with this project only to have Disney give out a lawsuit over this project. Don’t wanna jinx it, but it is possible.
It is possible but Disney would be commiting further suicide by targeting the most die hard fan base with lawsuits. They've already chased away enough of their core fans, a lawsuit to block this would only bring them further negative publicity amongst the remaining fans.

How about they fix how the planet Tattoween seem to have 90% humans. Every other movie they’ve ever shown it humans were definitely the minority. How about they make light saber wounds actually kill you sometimes in the show.. And some of the fight scenes were ridiculous. Like Vader versus the female inquisitor. Other scenes were equally ridiculous. Like nobody could catch princess Leah? Somebody in a wheelchair could’ve caught that little girl. And how in the hell could she possibly been rescued and knew Obi-Wan and then seemingly forgot who he was by new. Hope. Wouldn’t Obi-Wan reflecting on his life only thing about Princess Leah, with only one passing thought about Luke? Yes, I would like to salvage this, but there’s a lot of really bad things that need to be fixed. How about the aging Anakin and Obi-Wan for their flashback fight scene?
If you can, tell this guy to change the second Reva stab scene to stab her with Vader's lightsaber.
Like even if it's BS that survived once, let alone twice, still big missed opportunity. Like Anakin stabs her as a youngling with his lightsaber, then stabs her as an adult with her lightsaber. Like wow Disney, it would have been interesting if Reva was stabbed with both Anakin's lightsaber and Vader's lightsaber . . .

Yeah, I've been waiting for this since I've first heard about it. I can't wait to see the final results.
I'm sure a lot of fan's are going to be very happy with this when it's done, but we have to remember that the person working on it is taking the whole movie and deleting some, and reworking the one's that work best for the show.
Either way, I'm so excited for this new show and all fan's should really appreciate.

Obi Wan knew to send Luke to Yoda on Dagobah in ESB. There was ZERO good reason for Disney to not only block him out but not have a rich dialogue between them after he finds out Anakin is Vader.

Yeah, while I have no issue with Kenobi and Vader communicating via the force or either of them wrestling with personal demons in their dreams, they should never have met in person between episode 3 and ANH.
It will be better I'm sure, but it to truly make a film fitting to the OT you have to get rid of Vader, Inquisitors and Leia.

I was not disappointed at all... and I think you (and others who complain about it) kind of missed the point of this show. It was about Obi Wan, not about Vader or Inquisitors or Leia, even though Leia was key aspect to HIS story.
The story is about the darkness inside of him, his view of himself and his connection to the Force, which Leia represents the Light he chases to bring him back to reconnecting to the Force.
The "darkness" of the shots and "bleak" landscapes without detailed backgrounds (that would only serve to distract from the story) help to reinforce this. Yes many shots could have more "stuff" in them, but in my eyes it would've taken away from the depth of what he was going through. Just mho

It's all good and all, but one thing. Why the cutting off limbs scene? Like it looks cool and thrilling, but it's so unlike obi wan to do that on purpose.

I'd be interested to take a look at this however I do believe the Original Series is one which was more failed by the executives above rather than the creative decisions in production. Lucasfilm & Kathleen Kennedy seem more interested in pushing the characters it has created under it's tenure at Disney than it does any of the George Lucas eras of Star Wars. This is shown multiple times with the sequels Killing off Han, Luke & Leia, The Clones of the Clone Wars making way for the story of Clone Force 99, Boba Fett's series becoming a jumping platform for the story of Din Djarin and Grogu, Ahsoka's series giving heavy focus on the Ghost Crew & Obi-Wan's being limited to a six part limited series whilst Cassian Andor was given a 12 part with the prospects of a second series.
I have high hopes for this.
unfortunately, Disney will bury this and we will never get to see it. Darth Kennedy would never allow this to be released.

Obi wan was never weaker than Vader. Lightsabers were too short. Like the size of a baseball bat compared to the original films. Disney failed the to realize that the force is an energy field surrounding everything. requiring endless amounts of patience to tap into. Not crude effort. A Kyber crystal should allow the Jedi to use the force through the "Jedi Weapon". It'd be cool to follow Kenobi in search of Yoda story with Darth Vader and the Empire as an obstacle. Implying Luke's memory of Degobah from Empire Strikes Back. Build a good Star Wars story. With star fighter battles resembling actual warfare. Gun fights with a Clint Eastwood and Rambo style elements. Let make Star Wars people!

Obi-Wan TV series for me, and for Manny was the most anticipated of all the Star Wars shows and the biggest letdown not just because of the filming techniques for me mostly because of the storyline… He looked like too much of a wimp for way too long… But keep in mind, neither John nor Dave directed this series… Deborah Chow look at her credits… she fit right into the Disney family

I disagree with this video mostly. I don't think there are many problems with the story. Its fixable allowing that black girl to die, and adding some music. I wanted the choreography to be better too.
