Dan, great and comprehensive tests of the cars, mega respect to you for the Professinol checking and so thorough. When you will test the new Toyota C-HR with the 1.8 140 hp engine, will you be able to check if it also has that high sill / step after the rear seats are folded down? I wonder if without AWD all 4 wheel drive and a smaller engine this floor will be flat - theoretically this variant has the largest boot, question is whether it has a double floor.
Thanks in advance and have a nice day!

Thank you for the video. I picked up a CHR GR Sport Première a few days ago. In all the cars I have owned before (including some Toyotas) I always had the option of resetting the trip odometer and average fuel consumption when I refueled, so that I could check, at the next refueling, mileage and average consumption.
In the new CHR I do not find this possibility. Every face I start a trip (be it 10 or 100 km), mileage and average consumption start from zero. So if with one full tank I make for example 700 km divided into several trips, different from them (flat, uphill, downhill, highway, etc.) I can only see on the MyToyota app the average consumption of each individual trip, but I cannot see the average consumption from full tank to full tank. I have wandered through all the instrumentation widgets, but could not find a solution. It seems strange to me that such a simple but at the same time very useful function has been suppressed. Maybe you can find the solution? Thank you.

How about a consumption test on the plugin hybrid?
I LOVE how Toyota handles semi-autonomous driving! It's probably the best I've encountered even topping the likes of Volvo.

4,6 l I think ;) higher values at the beggining are due to AC using (engine needs to warm up) but later you will have it better. Also, first 1500km you will have higher consumption. Nice review! ;)

why for first 1500km there's a higher consumption? can someone explain this? i'm curious why this happens

@@user-ew8lt6yi2i hi, this is because there is a break-in process. I am the owner of CHR 1.8 GR sport 2021. In about a month i will pick up GR premiere edition awd-i and I expect higher consumption in first 1500 km. This is written in uset manual.

@@user-ew8lt6yi2i because battery is virtually a capacitor.

Wondering whether while you were stuck in traffic, if you put it in EV mode, whether that would have helped? I know it is very small battery but you only travelled a couple of Km while in that heavy traffic?

You started with a warm combustion engine, so good conditions for low fuel consumption. Toyota Hybrid for the city?🫣
A very bad result for a hybrid even in such conditions. It's not your fault, it's the cars fault.

The EV mode is a marketing gimmick. There's no case using it, your total consumption will probably go up with a depleted battery. The economy of this car comes from constantly changing the most efficient mode.
