went to seoul last february with my parents, didn't get to explore much of the city. was contemplating whether i should go back but this time on my own pero i was really anxious what other people would think seeing me eat and go out alone. your vlogs helped me get over my overthinking :> booked a flight for next month, wish me luck!
I'll go on a solo trip to Seoul in ten days and I'm very nervous, it will be my first time doing it. Any advices on how to make new friends or enjoying in general even alone? Thank you
Hi there! I'm sorry for the late reply, how did your trip go? In my case, Instagram and solo travel community threads were helpful for me but of course, always be careful when meeting up with new people! As for enjoying being alone, I treated my solo trip as a way for me to treat myself to do the things I really wanted to do that would make me happy - and at my own pace. Traveling with our loved ones is definitely so much fun, but seeing the world on your own, making new friends, and having that space for your own thoughts is truly a one-of-a-kind adventure 💝
@@tricie Hi could you please share any of the specific community threads that you used? I also want to travel to Korea, but I think it would be nice to have some friends to meet up with.
browsing youtube then I came across to this vlog. Then I started watching her vlogs. I was like 😱 she’s really good love her videos.. hope one day this vloger blew up ⬆️ oh and she’s simple and pretty aswell
Hi, I loved your vlog! The editing and what you filmed was sooo pretty and you gave so many details about what you did and the places you went, for someone like me who's going there for the first time in approximately a month it was very helpful yet entertaining :)
AWW thank you so much for the kind words, I really appreciate this 🥺I'm so excited to hear you'll be visiting Seoul, the city is truly so unique and vibrant - I hope you have the BEST time ever 💌🤍
aww, thank you so much for your sweet words! 🥺wow, I'm so excited for your solo trip - the weather in the spring will be just perfect. hope you get to see the cherry blossoms too! have an amazing time 💌🤍
Very nice I'll be solo in Seoul myself in 3 weeks. I also will have to wait 7 hours to check in my Myeongdong hotel after I land. Don't know how I'll manage carrying 30 lbs of backpack all that time. I hope it's not too cold too as I'll be coming from India and not prepared for the dramatic temperature change.
Hey there! You can definitely leave your luggage at your hotel, just ask the front desk - they should tag and keep it safe for you until you're ready to check-in. Best to do that so you can freely roam the city! Winter in Korea can be very cold, best to dress up in layers. UNIQLO heat tech is my best friend 🙈
@@tricie I am here now arrival went smooth. I was really fortunate the first two days were unseasonably warm up to 70f. Now it's dropping down but still manageable.

You're such a brave girl! travelling alone is not easy and its your first time. I came across with your vlog because I also plan for solo to SK. Any tips to SK? Come also to Taiwan.
Oh I was so nervous during my first solo trip, I was crying on my first night there 😭 But once you take the leap you'll feel so empowered and want to do it again! Seoul is such a safe city for solo travel and getting around is so easy. I think my best tip is that while you plan your itinerary of all the things you plan to do, it's nice to also have some days yourself to be spontaneous and wander around the city freely 💝
i'm glad you loved it, and omg i'm so excited for you to have your own seoullo trip (such a cute term!) 💞 i used a sony zv-e10! have the best time WAH 🥰

Hi! i’ll be going to seoul for a week solo in September. this is going to be my first time travelling alone. I heard that there are places that don’t allow you to eat alone. is this true? can you give recommendations on where to go for first time travellers? :) Thanks heaps!

Hi there! In this video, it was the fall season which was first to mid-week of November. The weather is perfect, it was the best kind of cool and some days were even still a bit warm for me. One thing to note is that the weather becomes drastically colder towards the end of the month! December-March is winter, late March to early June is spring, and June to August is hot/rainy. September-November is fall! ☺

Amazing vlog as always. Hey guys, anyone going to Seoul in April???? I have been on a few solo travels but in Seoul I want to link up with someone. Please let me know ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi !! Your video is so great and helped me a lot in scheduling my future solo trip to seoul (i'll go on october for the first time and I can't wait 😅). I wonder something : did you speak korean or english during your trip? I wonder how korean people feel and react about talking one language or another. I'm currently learning korean and i'm wondering if it's better to try speaking korean with korean people or speak english till the begining. What's your opinion on that please ? I wanna try to speak korean but I don't want to seem rude or clumsy. Thank you !!! Have a good day 🤗
Thank you for watching and I'm so glad this helped you out in planning your trip! Wow, the fall weather will be so perfect 🥺I'm also learning Korean so I took all the opportunities to practice whenever I had the chance, even with basic phrases like asking for directions, ordering food, or talking to taxi drivers. This helped boost my confidence in speaking and made me connect to the culture on a deeper level! You can definitely get by with English and a translator app around Seoul, but it's still helpful to know simple words. The locals are super kind and appreciate even the tiniest efforts to speak their language, don't be afraid to make mistakes because it's all part of language learning! You got this💝
