Thanks for the honesty, and sharing the un-perfect results. He still looked amazing to less demanding eyes. Can't wait to see the protection phase for both of them.
Haz honestly watching this, if Chico is comfortable and in drive on the field, you can easily win WUSV with this dog. There were some awesome elements to this. Can't wait to see his 95 protection
"I was not aware of how ugly I look when I think." Haz, show yourself some grace. You and Chico looked good. He had an off day, maybe performance anxiety. I have seen your training with Chico on your channel and when he is on, he is powerful! Please tell me you're joking about making him a show dog. 🙏
Haz - dude this was hysterical . your overview of your performance was a real pisser .Carson - you must be thinking all the time . LMAO loved this. do more reaction videos. this is a winner
As some one who trains and competes in IGP and French Ring. It’s a totally different game when you get to a trial. Any one who is a nay sayer get your own dog, train him your self and sign up for a trial. Like I tell myself it’s much worse when I I re watch the taped version than it is in real life. I just did a run thru on Brevet for practice before the trial. We went to the position exercise. Hank has done this a 1000 time perfect. In the rehearsal he totally spaced. i was like WTF dude, you know this.
Love the commentary and the honesty. It was great just to see you/your dogs compete!!! in BC..in person despite the rain. And...I agree... Chico ( AND Gage) were the best looking dogs at the nationals this weekend LOL!!! NOW>>> I Hope you and your team will be able to enjoy some of the good food and sights of the Westcoast before heading back to Ontario...!!! Thank you for coming out to BC...Hope to see you/your team out here more often!!!
OK, maybe you are not the best of the best but you are certanly among the best dog trainers, and that is still huge succes and result of hard and persistent work, and talent.
I am curious, he wasnt as active as you wanted right from the beginning, would it be worth loosing some points to handler help in that first stretch, and hopfully finish out stronger? or would subtle handler help not be enough?
So I know the other gentleman that is sitting with you also does IPG does he have a webpage or do you have any videos on him at a trial or working thank you
As someone who has no idea what I'm looking at it actually looks pretty good, but I guess it is the focusing that is the main problem through the video?
IGP is very strict on precision in movement and positions. For example, a sit needs to be very straight with good posture but on the floor facing forward. The dog should also maintain attention on the handler. It's not bad in the scheme of an average person training a dog, but for someone like Haz I understand his disappointment as this is not to the level he nor Chico have performed in the past
It's too bad because what he did well looked really good. He's behaving like he hasn't been accustomed to /desensitized enough to the trial field environment.
Smile sometimes bro and have fun with it? Imagine looking at CHICO the way he LOOKS at YOU! ....You at least smiled in the reaction. Regardless, this is impressive, and anyone should be proud of what Chico is capable of....
I was rthinking hey this routine is actually prettyy good like mid to high 80s then the 1 metre hurdle came up and I was like ohhhh thats why its 76 and not 86 lol
You said it. You’re used to great runs and just had that bad one. His lack of foundation showed. Your second trial with him. I still think there is a really great dog in there. If anyone can find it, it’s you Haz.
The dog is just fine don't sell him because you "felt" like he didn't need to be trained on the basics. You're heads are getting filled with so much air, you need to come back down to the mud where dogs live.
You are a breath of fresh air in the dog sport community. If it was easy , everyone would be doing it.. And yes, the dog is sexy!! - Tracey
100% agree... if it was easy, every-one would be doing.. Chico is hands down one of the best looking GSD's I've ever seen!
Thanks for the honesty, and sharing the un-perfect results. He still looked amazing to less demanding eyes. Can't wait to see the protection phase for both of them.
We all have those days. You still went out and did the damn thing!! 💪🏼💪🏼 great work man. Always love seeing you work
Haz honestly watching this, if Chico is comfortable and in drive on the field, you can easily win WUSV with this dog. There were some awesome elements to this. Can't wait to see his 95 protection
Authentic and real. Thanks!
"The ladies love us, and the guys wanna be us." Bet that! I love you guys so much. Best kinda humans on this planet.
Every dog has his day
"I was not aware of how ugly I look when I think." Haz, show yourself some grace.

For those of us who dont know sh!t about this - y'all did great.
Haz - dude this was hysterical . your overview of your performance was a real pisser .Carson - you must be thinking all the time . LMAO loved this. do more reaction videos. this is a winner
I think you both looked good! Carson seems super cool too!

I love both Chico and Gage!!❤❤
the dark sable ones ARE gorgeous. love chico visually, but he's a caliber i could not yet handle hahaah

They should call it the walk your dog show
He might not have the best foundation but he is still the nicest dog genetically. Breed him. Forget the trials.
OK, maybe you are not the best of the best but you are certanly among the best dog trainers, and that is still huge succes and result of hard and persistent work, and talent.
He's gorgeous. He looks pretty stressed out. Hopefully he does better and settles in for your next round. Good luck.
Bro you need to tell Carson to stop being so quiet on camera, he's fucking hilarious when he wants to be XD
Where is my 2ft leash 😂😂 thanks for sharing this.
Everythings for sale. Good looking dog..
Your a good sport Haz, thanks for sharing, BTW I'm going to get a pup from you and name it Talkshit.
Damn Chico, get it together 😂
chico ffwas feeding of Haz's nerves 100% , the thinking and counting is something chico doesn't see in training, been there bro
I am curious, he wasnt as active as you wanted right from the beginning, would it be worth loosing some points to handler help in that first stretch, and hopfully finish out stronger? or would subtle handler help not be enough?
Potentially, it's a hard judgement call in the moment and could go either way
@@ErinWilke thank you!
It wasn’t perfect but you both looked great. Best of luck in the next phase!

When you have the feeling its going wrong and you get pissed , do you think the dog picks up on it ?
What are you going to do? His first big trial and he wanted to take it all in.
It's too bad because what he did well looked really good.
He's behaving like he hasn't been accustomed to /desensitized enough to the trial field environment.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm a shit dog trainer so I would love to be able to train a dog even to this point. Hopefully one day though
I was rthinking hey this routine is actually prettyy good like mid to high 80s then the 1 metre hurdle came up and I was like ohhhh thats why its 76 and not 86 lol
poor chico, get your shit together chico
What was the score?
76 points
Chico gaddamn it 😂😂😂
still something, still a good dog..
You said it. You’re used to great runs and just had that bad one. His lack of foundation showed. Your second trial with him. I still think there is a really great dog in there. If anyone can find it, it’s you Haz.
This was amusing. If he takes the hurdle, you are at least at 88 points. Those are the breaks though
If the price is right
Nooo don't sell Chico he has potential to do great things!
Oh, dear . . .
how many points did he get?
If he had done the hurdle with this level what do you think the score would have been?
How much for the beautiful dog.
How much??
I would expect in the range of a new sedan
Doubt he’ll sell this dog. He loves it. But I’m sure he’d be 6-10 grand. Maybe more.
@@kinsleycharest3473 6-10 grand. LOL. More like 10x of 6-10 grand.

You want to sell him because he didn’t win….
Crazy to consider selling Chico🫠... nevermind saw the points score. I'd understand why
He's said first it's the best dog he's ever owned then saying he's unclear on trained expectations with too much drive he can't think
@@DwightHardnett
Happens to the best of them
What was the score?
