My hair growth journey tips (as a fellow fine haired, highlighted blonde). To start, you gotta chop it off to the thick part of the hair, there’s really no use in hanging onto the see-through “length” at the bottom. It just makes it look thinner. Thicker short hair looks better than wispy “long” hair. Limit the bleach. Biggest tip: stop using heat! Especially blowdry brushes. All your other steps are great
To heal my hair after a full head bleached this is what i did! -Lowlights -good trim (everytime i just asked the hairstylist to cut off what needed to) at first we had to cut 4inches!! -then every 3-4 sometimes 5 months i get a partial highlight and they dont lift it a ton just to look like natural highlight and blend well It was a JOURNEY to grow out but so worth it!
hiiii as someone who's lost sm hair and has had her fari deal of hair damage, cutting it DEF helps because it takes weight off of the roots. My hair was a similiar length to yours, but when I chopped it, it has helped SO much
I had some of the worst breakage nearing 2020 from a hairstylist that ruined my hair so badly. I spent a solid 2 years once salons re opened getting trims every 3 months and it included trimming the breakage which was sadly along the front pieces of my hair, but trimming them got them to grow and be super healthy! It’s now been 3 years and after every 3 months of trims for all these years my hair has never felt better, I stopped using a flat iron and my curls even came back! It’s so worth it to get regular trims! You already have some great hair products (LOVE ouai!!!), but one of my all time favorite shampoo and conditioners is Pureology Strength Cure Shampoo & Conditoner!!!!!!! Would be such a good one to try while you’re on this hair journey ❤️
beauty supply stores also sell plastic caps specifically for deep conditioning! could be worth looking into. best of luck with the hair journey gretchen!
I’ve also had a JOURNEY with hair! Here’s what helped me (a fellow “blonde”) - biotin gummies (probably similar to your supplements) - getting a big chop - dying my hair darker but now I’m back to a healthy blonde - lots of water everyday - good shampoo/conditioner - letting my hair be natural most days You are doing all the right things! 💖
Ah totally relate to what you were saying about how Hannah feels starting a channel! I just started one too and love the creative outlet that RUclips has provided me with🥰🥺 go Hannah!!♥️
I usually let my hair air dry which I believe has helped it stay healthier but when I do blow dry our use the revlon one step styler I make sure to use heat protection on it (that about the only product I use in my hair besides shampoo and conditioner)
They have coffee subscriptions that make it easy to get beans. I really like this Seattle based coffee roaster called Storyville. First tried it while I was visiting as they have a location at Pike Place Market and my friend and I loved it. They arrive in a week and the beans are so so fresh!
Uhmmm let's not forget about the Trader Joe's Shea Butter and Coconut Oil Hair Mask!! Not only is it extremely affordable, it is natural and leaves your hair feeling so soft! I keep it in the shower year round and use my wide tooth comb to comb out my conditioner as I rinse it out in the shower. If you have any tangles as you are combing out your conditioner, add a glob of the TJ mask and it will detangle with ease!! Sometimes less is more and this TJ hair mask will prove that
I’ve commented on the last video where you talked about your hair. But please get a silk pillowcase!! It will help your hair not to break during your sleep🩷it will get better!! Also be sure to get enough vitamins, maybe you are in deficiency
I commented on your last video but I wanna comment on this one too to make sure you see it! Im a blonde and collagen really changed my hair. It made it thick and long. I take it in powder form everyday in my coffee. When I stopped my hair freaked out and broke again so I know that that’s what it was. Maybe consider it!
Lowlights can look red-ish when the blonde isnt "filled" Usually stylist do this so that its not a permanent but just talk to your stylist Also depending on the contrast of the lowlights against the bleached hair, stylist will go lighter then ur root color otherwise it can look streaky
Okay BOOM! This might not be helpful because as you can see from my profile pic I have Type 4 coils BUT! The biggest takeaway I’ve learnt over the years is when your hair starts to get thinner or starts breaking…cutting the ends is the best way to go! Split ends if left too long can continue to split up the hair shaft 🥲! Big trims are scary, but it’ll help with health AND it’ll make your hair appear thicker! Also, just think about long term! If you cut it and go darker with the colour now, by the time your wedding comes (whenever that’ll be!!) it’ll be SOOO long and healthy AND your could go blonder! I sent a DM on insta a while ago of a screenshot where you had your hair back in a video and it looked VERY slay, if you need inspo for short(er) hair!! Hopefully this all helps! 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
As a barista from WA, try not to let your espresso shots sit for too long after they pour or else they will burn! Try pouring them in immediately after the pour ends😊 Love you and your videos!
The blow dry brush ruined my hair. If you are only using the cool air setting, then that’s probably okay, but any heat with the brush would wreck havoc on your hair. I am excited to watch your hair journey girly!
My hair lady told me that using oil every night on my thin hair is what was causing my ends to break because they couldn't retain moisture on their own anymore... it could be something to look into!!

A plastic shower cap would work better than plastic wrap to trap the heat, plus you can rinse & reuse them.

Highly enjoyed this vlog ❤ so calming to watch you :)
Annica Jane has a great video on how she revived her hair!!!

Try jojoba oil + Castro oil + rosemary oil on ur scalp, my hair dresser uses it on my hair and it grows so much 🫶🏾

Ive heard people say they experienced breakage because of the dyson brushing through and pulling , maybe stop blow drying ur hair ?
Wouldn’t hair growth pills affect your laser hair removal results?
Any tips on oily hair?? My roots are so oily and my hair looks wet :/
Instead of the plastic wrap you can buy a pack of those clear shower caps as well. It’s much easier. Lol
Definitely get your blood work done! You may have a deficiency or thyroid issue causing the hair loss!
Girls weekend!!🤩 I clicked so fast!!

Nice vlog!
You and the other girls are so pretty from your heads to your toes, Gretchen!

Divi by Dani Austin also does MIRACLES with hair growth and hair health
You should buy a pump for your Vanilla Syrup Bottle 😎👍
Ya well you would be devasted if Max is traded to Edmonton & you have to find Bakersfield, California on a map. 🤷🏼♂️ Be thankful!
I must be hard of hearing, when you laugh and talk so fast at the same time I can't understand what you say.
But I love your bubbly personality.
