When it comes to fish farming, we have to deal with various problems - such as fish disease, floating fish, lack of water colour low water holding capacity of the pond and many more. In order to prevent these problems in the pond, it is very important to prepare the pond as well as to take care of the pond monthly or weekly. But we do not take this issue seriously. That is why we have to accept different types of losses in fish farming. Before taking care of the pond, we need to get the correct size of the pond and prepare the pond well. So that when we use different doses of care, the benefits are greater.
1) Application of lime: If the concentration of fish in the pond is normal, then lime can be applied 1 to 2 times a month at the rate of 100 to 200 grams per decimal . And if the concentration is high, it should be used three to four times a month. Lime should be soaked 24 hours before and applied to the pond very thinly. You can apply lime in the sun-shining sky around 12 in the morning.
2) Application of salt: If the concentration of fish in the pond is normal, then salt can be applied 1 to 2 times a month at the rate of one hundred and fifty to two hundred grams per decimal . And if the concentration of fish is high, salt should be applied three to four times a month. Mix salt well with water in a drum and then sprinkle around the pond and it must be applied to the sky in the morning sun.
3) Application of Molasses or Laligur : If the concentration of fish in the pond is normal, then Molasses at the rate of 50 g per decimal can be applied 1 to 2 times a month. And if the concentration of fish is high, it should be applied three to four times a month. Molasses should be well mixed with water and then sprinkled around the pond. It must be applied to the sun-shining sky.
4) Application of Ash: If the concentration of fish in the pond is normal, ash can be applied 1 to 2 times per month at the rate of 500 gm to 1 kg per decimal and if the concentration is high, it should be used thrice a month. Just when you use the molasses, you will sprinkle the ashes well around the pond.
